Don’t worry, you will still get your Crusader fix for Macross Frontier. However, I just want to say Ranka-chan rocks so much in Episode 12 that I think she is just about the cutest green haired bishoujo since the appearance of Tsuruya.

Do you remember the lost innocence of youth?
With all the delicious words on hand, we found ourselves with a slightly more common word (if a name is a word). An accurate portrayal of the word Britney will be a train wreck. However, since I have never watched more than a single episode of School Days, I am unable to use that as material. Due to my generosity/stupidity, I also allowed our new blogger, Maipetsu my original idea for blogging.
So, let’s go on a random brainstorming while I blog. I will just write what comes to my mind and see where I will be going with the word “Britney”. Good luck with the brain freeze that comes from a spontaneous spark in my quirky mind. Either that or be bored to death with my random writing behavior.
As all you have remembered in Britney’s early career, she used to give an innocent portrayal of herself, trying to maintain that she will stay a virgin until marriage (Best joke of the century). Her songs such as “Hit me baby, one more time” was a complete hit. However, good things never seem to last as she exposed herself to the drugs, sex and stupidity that caused her to go on a downward spiral.
That, to me, is caused by the loss of innocence. What is this loss of innocence that makes us Britneys? Viewer discretion required after the “break”. I would appeal to our younger audiences that are less than 15 years old to avoid this entry if possible, despite my belief in your maturity and exposure.
Your Mecha Samurai are no match for the English! (yeah I have waited long for an excuse to use this one)
I finally have settled back in since my last lump of garrison duty and working long hours (11 hours on Saturday, and 12 on Sunday) so while this isn’t the most timely response of sorts to IKnight’s post on the mecha tree. In recent times I think mecha has become less associated with the boner inducing techno babble that makes engineers smile in their bouts of nerdgasms and that the need to explain how a big bad mecha works has been passed over for the most part for the emo pricks that pilot the machines. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but I don’t think that the concept of a mecha pilot being a knight or samurai is exclusive Code Geass or Escaflowne alone. In fact I think it is not too far off the mark to say that mecha pilots are knights of sort, a bunch of elitist pricks who are arbitrarily chosen based on some random emo factor that is unbefitting of soldaten who actually fight the wars while these nobles go around making trouble and philosophize about the intricacies of killing your fellow man and boosting niceties as the objective of war rather than victory. Bushido and chivalry are very much alive in your average mecha pilot barring a few exceptions like Shinji who was a bastard who wanked off on the corpse of his comrades.

Well we all knew a silly and really “meh” ending was coming because that’s how these shows always end. There was less ecchi this time, but that is uh, somewhat made up for by the DVD extra releases that also came out. More on that at later in this entry.
My girlfriend recently tasked me to find a few ancient anime that is made in the late 1990s. For those who do not know, I only started viewing anime somewhat diligently when this blog is set up (2 years ago for your information). So, I need some old school anime viewers for help.
She is interested in finding any format (VHS/VCD/DVD) of Kaiketsu Zorro and Fortune Quest the TV series. Fortune Quest’s first five episodes are licensed by Media Blaster, but the remaining 21 episodes are not dubbed at all. If you have any clue on where to purchase them or have them in a format that is purchasable, please leave a comment. I have already tried a lot of major online anime sites and have found no traces of the series.
So, if you can help the poor Impz to please a mean and demanding girlfriend, please do. I will be eternally grateful for allowing me to pamper her a little.
IT’S OVER! And what a finale it was. The conclusion was a bit unexpected for me, but the more I think about it, the more it makes sense for them to have such an ending. I’m wondering how other people feel about the series now that it’s over. I for one have enjoyed it since the very beginning and I’m quite satisfied with how it ended. Maybe other people may not have the same feelings about it as I do, but everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
