Ghost Hunt Ep 19 – “The impending death of Mai…”
This screenshot cements the fact that this arc is perhaps the most scary arc for ghost hunt because it kept me once again on the edge of my seat. Smartly, I have learned my lesson and watched this episode in the early evening, hence not scaring the wits out of myself.
The truth will lie from within. Mai is dead.

Ghost Hunt Ep 18 – “Blood is in the air…”
This particular screenshot scared the living lights out of me when I watched the episode for the first time, causing me to partially close my eyes for the remaining few minutes of this episode. That is how scared I was.
Yes, I know Ghost Hunt isn’t really too insane on the scary/horror portion for the most part, but I have a feeling that this arc will be rather disturbing for my mind. Before I ramble on about how scary this episode is, I will go on with the summary!

Yes, I admit defeat. think they can be a decent pair, comparable to Masako and Naru. That’s all I can say. The expression of Mai, as well as the smile on Naru, just makes it work. This episode is the concluding arc for the curse of the school.

On an unconfirmed report brought to you by Impz in T.H.A.T anime blog, we have received insider news from J.C Staff that many viewers have complained about the lack of funny Mai faces in the past two to three episodes. As viewers are reportedly annoyed at the generally normal mode of the main heroine, J.C. Staff decided to provide the first ever “Face fanservice” to the viewers who have painstakingly petitioned for their goal.
The result is the above screenshot which satisfied the angry mob of Mai fanboys and fangirls.

Yasuhara professed his love to Bou-san and said that he liked the smart-looking Naru as well. Bou-san said that he did not mind and was fine that Naru would join them together. With that, they went on a happy three-way wedding after both Naru and Bou-san accepted Yasuhara’s proposal. The two ghost hunters forsake their duties as well as their adoration of Mai as they eloped happily.
*Silence followed by the sound of cannons getting readied at me*
Ok, I take that as a clear indication of something vicious happening to me. Fine, I will stop with all the darn yaoi jokes and go right to the summary.

A nice womanly fight, anyone?
Someone should remind me not to eat potato chips, eat my fruit cocktail and drink nice lime juice while reading the episode. What resulted was a serious case of distraction to the extent that I have to re-watch the episode in order to look the summary. That said, thanks to LKK for the manga summary, I had problems with some names in this episode and happily stolen them.

No, if you are thinking about something wrong, it is not. Mai’s possession is extremely real and I am just being a totally big tease. However, there is another mystery that is waiting to unveal in this episode. I will present the pictures to show the evidence of my interesting finding.
Do you see any big difference between the possessed child Mai and the normal Mai other than the closed eyes? No, there is no other change, I assure you. I hence conclude with a 90% confidence level that Mai is a small child-like character no matter she is possessed or not. Yes, it is the greatest discovery of Ghost Hunt ever, exposed by the extremely deep Impz. (Yea, right). Well, no more idle randomness, it’s time for the episode summary and thoughts!
