Surprise!

Coming in at the second to last episode of Kimiaru is this Shinra-centered episode with plenty of Shinra service. Oh, and there is some sort of “plot” involved with her too but it was kind of boring and I was just oogling her most of the episode, as well as laughing at Ren’s lack of skill with the ladies.

I’ve shown a lot of Shinra fanservice here this season, here’s some manservice to try and even it out.

Praise the anime gods, the drama of last week or two is on hiatus (at least for one week). Kimiaru gets back to what it’s good at, parody and overall funny jokes. This episode involves fake trap trying to hook up with Benisu and a Kuonji family trip to watch cherry blossoms blooming.

That’s pretty hardcore gangsta.

My apoligies on the post delay. I’ve recovered from my deathly illness but I was spending too much time marathoning UBW and preparing for my clerkship interview today. Without further adieu we have another plot-ish episode of Kimiaru. The focus is primarily on Miyu, and we pick up some bits of knowledge of her past and her personality.

Best male support character in ages.

I’m on death’s door here with the cold/fever/indigestion of the century, so this entry is going to be short and devoid of any type of real summary. The episode was semi-amusing but straying further and further away from the goodness that was the first 6 episodes. Ageha is alright, but I was just kind of annoyed at how Ren just let her play with him the whole time when he has much finer ladies at the Kuonji household.

The episode’s only real humor for me was the contest and how the Kuonji household was rooting against Ren and trying to sabotage the contest. The GARness of Kuonjii and Ren was pretty interesting, but not really enough to carry the episode. The other awesomeness was Mihato’s pufferfish and other antics, comedically devious characters like her certainly crack me up.

I miss the lack of plot in the earlier episodes, the only real plot I approve of is that in which relates to Shinra or Mihato… Looking for more random silliness Kimiaru, help me out here!

A panda is fine too.

This week is the first episode of the Ageha arc, as hinted in last week’s preview she temporarily moves in with the Kuonji family. While a bit less humorous than episodes in the past, there’s actual plot development in this one, which was actually handled decently and not overly dramatic or anything. And if you were wondering why the Kimiaru post format keeps changing it’s because I really can’t decide how to handle this show, it doesn’t lend itself as easily to summaries as previous shows I’ve covered.
