Seirei no Moribito Ep 13 – “The change of a man to a tiger”

seirei13cover.jpg

Barsa, after saving the pride of Chagum in the festival, made a mistake by making a huge presence. As feared, one of the people that recognized them was there at the festival and found Barsa. After the threat to expose them that they were in fact alive to the authorities, Barsa decided to meet this man. However, a painful scar within Barsa is starting to hurt her, a scar that is present in the past. Will she lose the very vow that she believed in?

After a rather calming arc, this episode brings up quite a bit of the action that was missing ever since episode 3.

Seirei No Morobito Ep 12 – “The tale of pride and belief in a child”

seirei12cover.jpg

The Summer Solstice Festival is here and it is a festival where the Rucha, a fighting game would be held. From the preview last week, Chagum is challenged by a muscular boy of Rota to a fight in the ring. With Chagum’s lack in the training of the martial arts, the odds are against him to beat this boy. How would he fare in this fight, and will he be discovered in the midst of battle considering the huge number of peasants and secret people going for this festival.

According to Wrex’s reviews, this is an original episode not related to the novel. My thoughts will come after my episode summary, but I am fully enjoying Seirei no Moribito after each episode.

Seirei no Moribito Ep 11 – “Saya and the marriage of denial”

seriei11cover.jpg

In this episode, the continuation of the life after the pursuit by the assassins continued, as Tonda, Chagum and Barsa are able to relax in the little town that they are staying in. Life seems to be peaceful as Chagum continues to learn the way of the common people, and Barsa quietly basks in a life that is more relaxed and monotonous, a time where she can finally lower her pain from fighting.

An event of spirit leaving the body has happened this week, and it will increase the knowledge of some things about this world of Seirei no Moribito.

I.D. Analysis – 5th Episode of Seirei no Moribito and Kaze no Shoujo Emily

idanalysisseireiemily5.jpg

With my work starting, I am getting busier with lesser time to spend on the anime blog. Hence, as much as I want to update it often, time restrictions mean that it is almost impossible to do so. With such, summaries on the blog will be getting slightly on a less frequent level, with Saiunkoku Monogatari and Bokurano kept as the two mainstays. Seirei no Moribito and Kaze no Shoujo Emily will be relegated to the I.D. Analysis, where only a short summary will be provided rather than the detailed ones (read: lengthy and problematic) or at the worst case scenario, none at all.

Episode five of Seirei no Moribito is filled with dialogue over the water spirit, while Emily is creating a little stage production and making a script for it. These two episodes, especially Emily, provided a very intriguing set up for the future episodes.

Seirei no Moribito Episode 4 – “Now, where is my egg?”

seirei4-1.jpg

Sorry on the bad pun intended, but with the phrase of “Tamago” running in my head when Torogai keeps going “Tamago” when she enters the room, that is perhaps the only title I can think of right now. Seirei no Moribito Episode 4 starts off really strong, concluding the rescue mission of Barsa by Tonda but the graphical level drops slightly compared to the crazily fluid graphics shown in Episode 3.

That said, it is nevertheless a good development episode, as we know a little bit more between Tonda and Barsa, as well as what the enemy is thinking right now. I have also abandoned the I.D. Analysis method for Seirei and Emily, preferring to leave that for merely thoughts, rather than providing a short summary and thought section. I think it will be better for me to give it one post rather than combining two distinctively different series together.

I.D. Analysis – 3rd episode of Seirei no Moribito and Kaze no Shoujo Emily

kazeseireiep3cover.jpg

The 3rd episode of both series can only be described with one single word (make that two): TOTALLY AWESOME. If any of you out there is not watching these two series, you are missing out on the candidates for the top five series of the spring season and that is definitely not an understatement. Even if my personal endorsement means nothing, I beseech you to at least take a peek at these two wonderful series that has captured my attention.

With detail, graphics and fight choreography being so realistic in Seirei no Moribito, to the detailed character analysis, emotions and innocence of youth in Kaze no Shoujo Emily, both series up to this stage can proudly say that they had excited anime fans. Move first into the world of the mystics as Barsa fends off assassins on Chagum, before seeing how Emily adapts to the new children in her school.

I.D. Analysis – 2nd episode of Seirei no Moribito and Kaze no Shoujo Emily

Hey all, it’s me with a short announcement. I have fully updated my list for the Spring Blogging list. I currently have five series on my radar but they might always run the risk of being dropped. Still, they are rather firm choices I am seeking to move on. So cheers and I hope you like my choices and join in my little discussions…

Signed, Impz

These two series seem to do pretty well, even though both of them are mostly overlooked by fansubbers for one reason or the another. Nevertheless, they are both competent series that should be given a look for excelling in the genre that they are in, with great production values in terms of graphics for Seirei no Moribito and great storytelling for Kaze no Shoujo Emily.

It’s time once again to bring you the summarized proceedings, as well as a little of my humble thoughts in the series. And some rather not humble thoughts for the fun of it.
