No time for idle chit chat, time for my ID analysis, aka the most destructive analysis to bring you two paragraph summaries and a bit of thoughts for the week’s viewing!

No rock, no life! Just if you are wondering, the IDA came about because Impz tends to have little motivation to blog a full entry if people are not interested in it. This is why I relegated Red Garden, one of my favorite series, in this section. Feedback if you like this ^_^. That said, I will have one short summary-like entry for Bokura Ga Ita and Asatte no Houkou later (since these two shows ended recently). Look out for it.

———————————————————————-

Red Garden Episode 12

Summary

Kate was told by her sister that Herve wanted to meet her again after the “accidental meeting”. The other girls also learned about Herve trying to meet up with Kate, as they encouraged her to do so, since Kate generally avoided interactions with the opposite sex. We also see Rachel’s boyfriend getting very close with Amanda, and he seemed to be in a hurry to be away from her when Rachel called for her, saying that he would call her later. Claire and her friend also went back to normal after Claire took the advice of the gals and told him that she was working back at the hamburger shop.

Paula also informed that she had used her veto power for Kate, since she said Kate had spent all her time in the school and told her to work hard together. The police detective also found that the pictures of Lise before and the corpses were inconsistent, while Rose realized that her father had been sending back money, meaning that he was working hard somewhere. As Kate, Emilio, Herve and her sister met up, it seemed that Herve was making a good impression and then Herve asked whether Kate would join him to walk along later. She accepted it, even though Emilio warned him not to do anything strange. Lula and JC were also tracking her, saying that it was age for Kate to fall in love. It seemed that Kate was pretty interested in him, as he set up another meeting with her at Coney Island, despite her saying that she was boring. We also saw the cynical Herve with Lise, trying to trigger her past memories by talking about movies and the exchange of diaries.

Thoughts

I do not know the true intentions of Herve, but I suspect it is nothing good. The fact that he had clearly acknowledged that Kate was an enemy meant that he getting close to her was a ploy to do something like spying, or an even more deviant plan that I cannot think of right now. I am also worried for Rachel’s mental wellbeing, as in the end of the show, she overheard that Amanda was in the same place as her boyfriend at a very late time, which is going to be nothing. With him avoiding her, it probably means the end of her relationship. I also am glad at Claire’s relationship going well with her close guy friend, because it was clear that he was very concerned, just that he had been avoiding her as he feared that her temper would ruin things once again. A solid build up episode, i think the story will go with more Kate and Herve stories. I am worried what will happen to Kate though.

—————————————————–

Happiness Episode 12

Summary

We saw that Anri and Koyuki falling after “fighting” with Ibuki and company as Ibuki entered the sacred place where their hidden treasure was found. It seemed that Koyuki already predicted that they would fall, so it would be better if they feigned it right away. As Ibuki entered the area, she started to get the gem, trying to use its power to revive her older sister so as to see her again. Shinya was then hurt as he was trying to protect Ibuki. Outside, the rest of the people were trying to repel the monsters caused by the sacred treasure.

Haruhi also found Yuma as she hugged him, telling him that his magic saved her and that his magic was not merely destruction. He rejuventated in energy as he took the flute, which was the flute used by Ibuki’s sister. They then rushed over to Anri and company, who were having trouble repelling the monsters. Yuma’s spiritual energy with the flute repelled all the monsters as he finally went inside the domain. With everyone’s strength pooled into it, he finally was able to seal the gem, ending the show. We then realized that Sumomo finally recovered, and that Yuma moved into the magic class.

Thoughts

Boring. Well, just kidding. Happiness! is a decent show but there are two things that let it down tremendously. One is the low count appearance of Jun, which will have made matters much cooler. Second is the graphical quality. The story itself is average, which is pooled down lower by the low graphical quality. I threatened to drop this show but I decided to at least blog about the last episode, which is perhaps a bit of respect for a decent premise but execution wise, it is a bit bad. However, it is still a decent watch if anything. With it ending, I have more time for other series, I guess.

———————————————————————-

Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo! Episode 12

Summary

We have Ayako seeing how Eme-chan was in night gown and trying to charm Mamoru. She got very angry and rushed off, with even Shione knowing that it was going to be dangerous if she was to disturb her at this “burning aura” Ayako. Mamoru, on the other hand, continued to work very hard for the test as he wanted to impress Ayako. The president also saw the sulking Ayako, with Ayako complaining how Mamoru could not tell that Eme-chan was trying to sexually seduce him. Still, when the results came out, it seemed that he only had a D. He wanted to greet Ayako but Ayako looked disappointed (because he was with Eme-chan) and he mistook it as her being disappointed at his results.

The president then set up a party within the school, as Ayako realized that Eme-chan and Mamoru were cooking. She was of course extremely angry and jealous as Eme-chan confessed to him, saying that she wants to “love love” with him. Ayako then rushed away, with Mamoru giving chase. Eventually, they got back happily together as they resolved their differences, realizing that they both did things in love for each other. They then had their first kiss like how Ayako wanted it, under the sunset, as everyone had a chorus of Merry Christmas.

Thoughts

I loved how the first kiss came about and it is probably not as grand as I had expected. Still, the relationship is clearly developing on the whole, with the fact that there are hints that Mamoru’s “weak” power might not be as weak as they think it is. I do wonder how Mamoru’s latent energy can be tapped and whether this series will have a more serious approach at the end. Still, I think it will be those happy go lucky series. That said, I am getting very annoyed by the stalker’s antics but pleasantly happy with Shione’s 1001 different hairstyles. Tee hee.

Coming from the same line of prestigous books from Stephen R. Covey, who wrote a bestseller on the “7 Habits of Highly effective people”, the author Impzie clone #1007 has began an ambitious project to repeat that great book using the medium of anime to prove his point about lolis.

However, with the lack of fundings and the fact that he only had one place to look at, he tried to base all his theories on the “7 habits of Highly effective lolis” on Eme-chan in episode 11 as she attempts the most difficult task ever: to tempt the shouta Mamoru. Whether he had done a wise choice on it is up to you, who will be reading this important manuscript to decide.

First Habit – “A fanbase is important!”

Often, many lolis forget the importance of having a fanbase. A fanbase is extremely important if you want people to know that you are a loli and one that can be fanboyed upon. What is the use of being a loli if no one notices you? Generally, lolis are in all shapes but not sizes (i will never call a tall girl a loli, in any case) but they all have a defining point in which they always have a fanbase. Hence, to be highly effective as a loli, you have to get a fanbase. There are no two ways about it.

Second habit – “Join a club/activity with the main lead!”

Of course, as a loli, you got to have some association with the main lead so that viewers can associate you with him. Usually, a loli goes two paths. One is the cute and extremely chirpy type. The other one is the mysterious and shy type. As you can tell, Eme-chan is doing very well as the latter type, with her appearance, her voice tone as well as that little shyness in a blush. That is excellent loli material right there, without being annoying.

Third habit – “Listen to problems!”

This is yet another highly effective habit that many would-be lolis fail to notice. Usually, lolis with that mysterious nature in them tended to be great listeners and are very helpful when required. With that helpfulness and willingness to serve, a loli makes it hard for any normal viewer to hate her. She’s way too nice, and still keeps to that sweet demeanor.

Fourth habit – “Buy a self-help book on love!”

A loli’s failed attempt to find favor with the main lead is often a moe factor. No viewer likes to see the loli succeding too easily because that will make the loli way too good and great, giving that arrogant feeling that most audience, except the most deviant will like. Hence, it is good that she tries very hard, because we like lolis that try hard but fail, so that we can protect them. That vulnerability is something we like.

Fifth habit – “Hair breeze!”

It’s all about the hair, baby, it’s all about the hair. At this point of time, the author has no idea why this habit is inside except for the fact that the screenshot looks pretty darn funny. Let’s just accept his logic, will we?

Sixth habit - “Nice clothes win the day!”

When it comes down to the real thing, clothes do matter a lot. With such a red cottage like sweet dress, it is hard for any man to reject the power of the loli. Cute and lolis often come together in a package and this is an instant kill for most. Hence, this is also considered to be the 2nd most important habit of a loli: to dress for the kill!

Seventh habit – “Use the body!”

Screenshot is self-explainatory. The body…..is the power of the loli’s strength. It is that small, sweet and yet illegal body that makes you want to protect the loli. However, whatever sexual behavior done by the loli will be misinterpreted as something else. That is also her charm.

With that, we thank Eme-chan for the demonstration and hereby, we present the 7 habits of highly effective lolis!

Note: Since both Hinano and Kurogane have done up summaries of this episode, I am going to change my approach on the Mamoru series.

Random fanservice in dreams are for the win, especially when it’s Ayako and Shione together.

The Mamoru series honestly is Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A’s in this episode. I am not doing a “Yuuichi is Kyon in disguise” logic here. It is true and I even have pictorial evidence to proof it!

For the closest evidence, let us not look further to the “transformation” of the magical gear in a mahou shoujo series. We have the classical cute little blink from our mahou shoujo eme-chan in #1. Of course, without fail, the customary glowing pink light is there when the ribbon is set in #2. You wonder, why pink? This is because shoujo girls, especially mahou girls are stereotyped by the color pink. In any first appearance of the main shoujo girl, the color has to be pink. Do you think it will be a mahou shoujo girl series if the ribbon was to glow in a purple light? Or a brown light for that matter?

NO! IT MUST BE PINK! Hence, after the glow in #2 and the setting up of the ribbon (still in glow as in synchronization with the mahou shoujo transformation style) in #3, the next shot must be the ribbon forming in a materialized in #4. Lastly, without fail, the mahou shoujo girl has to strike out a very cute pose. No matter how stern or stupid they look, mahou shoujo always never fails to strike a pose that is cute. Try to name me a real mahou shoujo character that does not pose beautifully or cutely after a transformation. Hardly.

And yea, the sparkles are customary of all mahou shoujo series.

The skeptical bunch of people here might feel that Mamoru does not have any real magic. I will, with no doubts at all, seek to prove you wrong with the following screenshots. In a mahou shoujo series, magic is always required. Usually, a situation has to arrive when the mahou shoujo girl is in imminent trouble. Hence, as you can see from the above screenshot, Ayako is blushing so hard that she is going to explode. She is using up so much energy as she is starting to generate power!

Of course, there’s a need to lose control…”I gonna…” is always a good arbitrary and abstract line for otakus to fantasize about in mahou shoujo series.

STARLIGHT BREAKER, RAWR YOU DOUBTERS!

The next evidence of Mahou shoujo series when they are in their normal lives is that there must always be fanservice. It can be subtle or in the above case, rather blatant. Both ways appear in all shapes and sizes in a mahou shoujo series.

Flat chest-ness is somewhat a symbol of a mahou shoujo series. It gives this forbidden feeling. I am not too keen to elaborate too much. Tee hee.

Swimsuit lures are great too, even though they are seldom used in mahou shoujo series. Still, it is fanservice! Mahou shoujo is very into fanservice. Yes, yes.

A certain thing that people usually forget is that Mahou shoujo girls are usually very bad in sports but somehow gained abilities after getting their magic to be great at it. It is clear that Eme-chan is the same case. Look at her glow in greatness! The volleyball! Ball…Boo-….Ermm, never mind.

One point that is obvious in mahou shoujo series but often addressed is that all mahou shoujo girls have this cute yet sad look whenever they are troubled. Eme-chan shows the way on how to do it.

Most importantly, there must be random cute scenes like the above! So there, I have proven without doubt that Mamoru the series is in fact a copy of Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A’s. Not that i am complaining with the transformation.

Heh heh.

Hahaha, this will definitely satisfy fans of siscon, I think. At least, That’s what I think even though I found that this episode is rather sweet to the very least.

Time to churn out the summary ^_^

————————————–

Episode summary

Mamoru was commenting about how he was always imposing on Ayako, when she was the one preparing the food all the time. Ayako simply blushed and said it was all right, as Mamoru asked whether Ayako was free on Saturday. He then invited her to his house for a meal on Saturday. Ayako went all dizzy and blushing about it as it was shown on the screen of the student council. The council of course tried to make an article out of it, only for Ayako to invade and …smashed the wits out of everyone. That said, Mitsuki simply hid inside the rubbish bin.

As Mamoru and Ayako left the school together, we see the stalker following them, saying that he would not give up until he sprained his ankle from a dumb pose. Mamoru was then apologetic for making it such a big issue but Ayako said that she was excited to be invited by Mamoru. It’s the next day as we see Mamoru’s mom trying to clean the room. However, she made a total mess of it as Mamoru took over. Itsumi was preparing the rice but was stoning quite a bit as Mamoru asked his mother what was going on. It seemed that she had been stoning for a while but her mother was simply saying that she had grown up. Mamoru asked whether Itsumi needed help but she told him that he would make matters worse.

Back at Ayako’s house, she was having problems decide what dress to wear until her assistant said wearing white and simple would be good. It seemed that Itsumi had burnt everything down as Ayako arrived to the house. Ayako then realized what happened and said she would help by taking out an apron. Itsumi then directed Mamoru and the mother to buy ingredients. Itsumi then wondered how Ayako knew so much about Mamoru and she said she had asked him to do a quiz about who he was.

Itsumi was also surprised that Ayako could do cooking but she said she had learnt ever since she was young. However, she admired Itsumi who was able to cook for her family everyday while she could only cook for her grandfather who came once in a while. Itsumi then added that Mamoru was always very cunning that he always used his smile and kindness all the time to solve problems. Due to his wimpy character, Itsumi always had to protect him from bullies but eventually, he always used his unique smile to defend her instead.

Ayako then remarked that she wanted to know more about Mamoru when he was young. Inside Itsumi’s mind, she was remembering an incident that she went over to Mamoru’s bed and was comforted by Mamoru using a special towel as they slept together in a thunderstorm. As she was thinking about it, the pot of curry fell as it stained the towel and burned Itsumi’s shoe. Ayako then healed her using some bandages and a warming Beatrix energy.

They then realized that the towel was stained and Itsumi said Mamoru would not be able to sleep if he did not have it. Ayako was about to use Beatrix to restore the towel, only that Itsumi stopped her. She then soaked the towel into the curry, turning it all yellow. Mamoru and her mother came back, only to realize that the towel was being hung. Itsumi then said it was her fault, even though Ayako said otherwise. They then had the meal in a rousing mode. At night, Itsumi said she wished that Ayako would come to the house more often as she slept together with Mamoru, feeling totally assured with that relaxing feeling.

—————————————

Thoughts

This is so so cute. I really enjoy this episode because it is very sweet, other than the fact that there’s a clear sister love relationship between Itsumi and Mamoru. Man, somehow, I do not exactly like this siscon relationship, because there is such a thing called “non-blood sister is moe~” logic. This also means that if the sister is in fact blood related, it is usually not moe, no?

Nod. I agree. Yes, the various clones of Impzie agrees more as well. Very amusingly, I found myself laughing when i saw Mamoru’s secret weapon used against the dog on the way home. His smile was in fact the glittering bishie type, which made me laugh to no end with the ridiculous yet amusing twist. Perhaps, the child-like innocence was something Ayako could feel from within.

Ayako also surprised me with her great knowledge of culinary skills, as I fully expected like Itsumi that she would be a sitting duck when it came to cooking. Aww, she is just the sweet cutie too, no? That said, her white skirt was nice too.

Hur hur hur.

All right, that’s it for my thoughts today. A bit short ^_^

Moral of the story in episode 8: Do not, I remind you, do not ever try to do something funny to Mamoru in front of Ayako.
This is a pretty nonsense episode but it is hilarious nevertheless. I found myself laughing my head off at so many parts, especially the sexing up brainwashing of Mamoru.

Moral of the story in episode 8: Do not, I remind you, do not ever try to do something funny to Mamoru in front of Ayako.

This is a pretty nonsense episode but it is hilarious nevertheless. I found myself laughing my head off at so many parts, especially the <del datetime="2006-11-24T14:22:25+00:00">sexing up</del> brainwashing of Mamoru.

—————————————

Summary

Mamoru and the gang finally returned on their bus, with school starting very soon. The president was trying to find an event for memories (again) and decided to go to a nearby spa where they could relax. Everyone seemed happy except Shione who looked to be pissed all the time. The guys went to their shack as the gals went to the open bath.

Maya then ordered for a helicopter to fly in, with an odd looking shampoo. Shione then talked about the strange competition they had, when Maya would ambush her when she was in the bath, trying to peek and pass the shampoo to her. He had found her expression when he invaded to be funny, hence it became a sibling rivalry.

At the shack, Maya was trying to get Mamoru to join in. Eventually, Maya somehow persuaded that without Mamoru, the pain that they would suffer would be countless. Ayako would definitely deal with him mercilessly but with Mamoru, she might not be that angry. Shione also prepared some defenses of monstrous capacity to prevent them from coming, including a radar.

Itsumi and Ayako were sure that Mamoru would not come, but the radar showed four people on the road. Somehow, while using the equipment, their clothes were also burned off, so Shione had called in for 7 sets of clothes. The gals now had additional reason as they all pooled in to help Shione. Just when Mamoru was asking about Ayako’s assistant helping in and that the grandfather would have approved, they went under a barrage of snow attacks. However, they repelled it as they moved forth.

We also see cut scenes of the pervert trying to trek to Ayako, as well as Eme-chan and her two lackeys trying to catch some fish for lunch (yes, it’s random). As the guys went through yet another barrage of snow balls, they were eliminated one by one, with everyone urging Mamoru on because it was simply the pride of a man to push forth. It was no longer the case of simply wanting to peek at the gals (poor Mamoru).

Eme-chan also destroyed the central control switch hidden by Shione, thinking it was a trap by hunters. With that, Mamoru charged forward courageously, with a spiritual field trap being the last obstacle ahead of him. The pervert charged forward first, hence he was blown up. Ayako could sense the presence of someone as she kicked the door open, only to see Mamoru. Both Itsumi and Ayako were disappointed in him until he started mumbling “I am a man” with the sparkling and brainwashed look. Ayako then realized that it was all a plot by Maya and Shione to gamble whether Ayako would forgive Mamoru if he was to do what he did. Ayako eventually….demolished the culprits.

————————————–

Thoughts

Hmm, this is one of the most nonsensical episodes that I have seen in the whole fall season. It is just filled with random funny scenes and honestly, I laughed when they went all passionate over the “you must go, Mamoru, as a man with love”. It is so cheesy that it’s meant to mock all the sentimental scenes in love stories. Honestly, this episode just wins, especially when Mamoru went all brainwashed, chanting “I am a man…I am a man”.

Just hilarious.

That said, I am a little disappointed that there was 0 zero development of Eme-chan. I personally expected her to be more involved in the plots now but the fact that it was the last day of holidays also meant that school would start. I do not mind random episodes when they were funny but I believe that Mamoru had a decent premise for plot development as well. In that part, I would love to see more of the other characters as well fleshed out decently.

Oh well, as the episode preview is nonsense once again and the fact that this is sort of a random episode, I do not have too much thoughts on it. Oh wait, I have one last one. I loved the random bits of Eme-chan appearing because she is my favorite cutie in anime fall season currently. Also, I like how Itsumi and Ayako had so much faith in Mamoru not coming over, as Ayako was seen at various points of this episode chanting “Mamoru is not there, Mamoru is not there”.

Poor Mamoru, he’s so innocent and so vulnerable to tricks. One day, I got a feeling that he would really make Ayako really pissed. I wonder though, it would be a funny episode to say the very least.

Note: A bit of site news ahead. I will be dropping Happiness! officially from any form of blogging because I have too many series to review. Eventually, I will reduce the anime that I will be regularly blogging to 5 or so. The guaranteed keepers are Red Garden, Mamoru, Bokura ga Ita and Asatte no Houkou. I am still not sure for Ghost hunt and Yamato because Ghost hunt will take a big chunk out of me and Yamato is no longer exciting whatsoever. Saiunkoku Monogatari and Otoboku will take a backseat but they will be blogged as well still, just much slower and that Otoboku will turn to a parody post.

————————————-

Blatant loli fanservice. Do I mind? Hmmm….I don’t know.

(darn, i am starting to sound more and more suspicious)

I finally understood what it meant when Lupus said it was so tempting to blog….It is, dammit. I actually wanted to take a hiatus but blogging seems to give the impetus for distraction. Here I am supposing to be studying but eventually, due to the fact that I realize that the exam is an open book test, I gave up bothering. Anyway, without any more before thoughts, jumping straight to the summary + thoughts!

————————————–

Episode summary

We had the president talking to Mamoru’s sister and telling her not to worry too much. She was still concerned how she had trampled on Mamoru’s gift. As Mamoru finally found Ayako, she was in fact busy and sleepy for the past few days because she was trying to make a sweater which she learnt from Shione. Mamoru was very touched that Ayako was trying so hard to make him presents while he was only worrying. However, the loving scene was disturbed by a snow hail made by Eme-chan.

As Ayako blocked the attack, Eme-chan appeared, only to fall head first into the snow, with her panties falling. As Ayako attacked her with an attack while she was trapped, she retaliated by swinging a sword to attack Ayako. However, Ayako blocked it with her two hands, as Eme-chan said that all her admiration for the Beatrix witch that had fought courageously with her brother was misplaced. She also added how Ayako’s strength was now hampered by Mamoru. Eme-chan then added that she expected Ayako to be a spinster all her life, to not rely on Mamoru so that she stayed as strong as she did the past year when her brother fought Ayako in Germany.

Ayako got really angry over what was said, especially associating her as being lonely forever and eventually concentrated her energies and attacked. However, Mamoru was left open and the two lackeys of Eme-chan caught him. Ayako was worried and said that Eme-chan was a coward in not fighting one on one and using Mamoru. Eme-chan then said how much Ayako had degraded and she “love-love” her a lot (she meant to say admire but her lackeys told her that it was something else).

The two lackeys then threatened to cut Mamoru’s throat as Ayako rushed forward, only to be knocked unconscious by Eme-chan. She then called the two lackeys to release Mamoru, saying that Ayako was so weak now that she was not worth the test. Mamoru rushed over to Ayako and suddenly released a great amount of Beatrix energy, revitalizing her as Ayako immediately went on her task to kick the hell out of Eme-chan’s butt. Eventually, it turned to a competition of Eme-chan’s brother being better and Mamoru being kinder (aka petty fight). The end of the fight turned into some crazy ice fight where Ayako eventually blasted the whole area up because she was annoyed at how Mamoru was compared to be weaker than Eme-chan’s narcissistic brother.

As they returned back to the base, everyone had cleared the path created by the snow hail. Mamoru then went to the bath, only to meet with Eme-chan. Eme-chan then admitted that she was always an admirer of Ayako and wanted to know more. She also pinched Mamoru to see if his cheeks were pinchable as Ayako had said it was during the fight. She then admitted that she was probably the one who trampled on his gift and offered to restore it using Beatrix. He then jumped for joy, with his naked body faced frontal right toward Eme-chan. She then blushed her head off.

Mamoru eventually got the gift to Ayako as Mamoru’s sister was delighted. We then saw Eme-chan and her two lackeys waiting for a hitch as she said it was in fact Mamoru’s Beatrix which had restored the gift. The last cut scene had Preussen talking about waiting for Ayako to be mature so that he can marry her. That was also the message that Eme-chan came to give Ayako.

———————————————–

Thoughts

One thing is for sure. Mamoru is not your stereotypical weakling shouta. He possess great Beatrix energy that can support Ayako but unlike her, he is unable to wield it until he is triggered to by stress or any harm caused to Ayako. The fact that he can literally cast a huge sphere of brilliant restorative energy to revive Ayako who was knocked unconscious for at least two hours. He is however very weak without Ayako or during a normal state of mind. For now, it is probably a latent energy that can be tapped on during danger.

Eme-chan is currently trying to steal away the show from Ayako. We have first the mega blushing and mega violent Ayako, an extreme version of a tsundere. However, Eme-chan is the classic serious loli, with a side dish of being totally cute blushing. I mean, this fulfills the part where you like her to be cool yet still have some weaknesses.

I swear if Eme-chan is to chase Mamoru, Mamoru will have a very tough job of fending her off. I mean, I will personally have no idea who to choose. A megadere or a serious blushing loli. Oh god, Mamoru has all the good stuff for him. The fact that he has a moe~ sister that will not hesitate to come in completely naked to tempt him is also hot. That lucky bastard.

Preussen’s appearance meant that there is a possibility of the antagonist of this series to appear sometime in the future. I do not perceive him to appear in front of Ayako to steal her away from Mamoru for the next two or three episodes, since this is a 24 part series show rather than 13.

I am really enjoying the relationship between Ayako and Mamoru though. There is still some strong doubts and insecurity with Mamoru, plus the fact that Ayako is still quite poor in personal relationship with people. There will surely be a time when there is strong conflict between the two but the trust will pull them through, i swear. The faith in them has protected them twice already and they are even acknowledged by Eme-chan who came over to pass the message of Preussen waiting for Ayako to be his bride.

-_- and due to the fact that there is technically no episode preview, let’s see what next week is all about.

Loli alert! Loli alert! Blushing LOLI ALERT!

Emelenzia Beatrix Rudiger is her name, according to the official website. I will be calling her Eme-chan.

Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo! Episode 6 is awesome!

Now, it seems that the whole cast of Mamoru is finally out, since the latest character seems to hold a love-hate relationship toward Ayako. The fact that she has a sexy low voice like Primula in Shuffle and that she also blushes as hard as our cute little princess, Ayako, meant that she will be high in the charts soon.

YES, FAN BOY TIME! All loli lovers and Sumomomo momomo lovers will be happy at this development of Mamoru. If you are not watching this show, it’s time to do it.

NOW!

——————————————–

Episode summary

There was this dreamy sequence of a low voice talking about how Ayako and her brother, the great devil Preussen fought honorably without any fear. The voice was admiring how Ayako was great and wonderful, as we returned to reality when the silver haired gal, Eme-chan, was spying Ayako outside her house. The pervert was with Mamoru in the train, as it seemed that Ayako had not picked him up for almost a week. He wondered whether he had done anything wrong, as it seemed that Ayako was avoiding him and the pervert informed him that there were rumors that he was dumped.

The student council then decided to have a skiing holiday as they kept their voices down, with Ayako resting on the chair. Mamoru then went along with Ayako, asking her why she was always so tired these days. She made some silly excuses and eventually said that “it had nothing to do with him at all” and left hurriedly. Mamoru felt very hurt after that, as he felt that Ayako was hiding something very important from him. He was perhaps not good enough to hear it.

As the student council picked up Mamoru in his house, his sister was also invited, as Ayako rested peacefully on his shoulders. His sister seemed to sense that there was some problems that Mamoru was feeling, as he looked rather in concern, with the others totally oblivious to the fact. He also had a present in his pocket, that he was going to give to her, in order that they could be like how they would during the summer. They were then followed by a totally attention seeking purple car, with Eme-chan and her two lackeys following them. Eme-chan also asked what love-love was and they explained to her about it (duh!).

She then followed him, wanting to know how he “fried” Ayako (actually, she meant capturing her heart) and wanted to find somewhere quiet to talk to him. However, Mamoru told her that she was in the gents and she blushed red as she fled the scene. We also see the two lackeys arguing with Ayako that they were mere passerbys, who eventually blew their car up. They then followed the student council via a lorry having live pigs. As they went on to ski, Ayako said she was not feeling well and refused Mamoru to stay alone. Mamoru then wanted to put back his hat but his sister took it and told him that she would keep it for him.

Eme-chan and her two lackeys were looking at what Ayako was doing and was in a shock. The sister then reached Mamoru’s room as they hid. The sister accidently crushed the gift that Mamoru was going to give Ayako and she went off in shock. As they returned back, the student council president talked about the fight between Preussen and Ayako during the same time last year and said he did the skiing vacation to let that off her mind.

Mamoru was then given a fortune telling by the gals, who saw only death and misfortune in the tarot cards. Seemingly affected, he left back to his room. Ayako then told him that she wanted to meet him where the student council could not hear, as she had something personal to tell him. Mamoru then returned to his room, only to see the gift being crushed. The sister heard it and was very sad as she could not tell him that it was her who did it. Mamoru went out to meet Ayako with a sad look, with the three looking on.

——————————————-

Thoughts

I do not know why I was laughing so hard at this episode. Perhaps, it is the little seed of lolicon in me that is brewing up. The fact that Eme-chan has such a sexy and low voice for a loli and she actually has the personality of Primula makes me really interested in her. She has that “i wanna kill you onee-sama” feeling and yet still have that coolness for most of the episode. The break of her being all innocent about “love-love” was also so cute.

I wonder how she actually survived, having two potentially paedophilic lackeys that even wanted her mucus in the handkerchief. Man, her two lackeys are totally perverted and I am surprised that she was still in no harm. I guess that is because she can probably kick their butt if they would to try anything funny. Oh well. That said, the scene where she turned all blushing in the gents was a great touch, as she was definitely affected by it, a slight difference with Primula that showed practically zero emotions in Shuffle!

Still, I believe that all Primula fans will readily accept Eme-chan too.

I also was interested in the seiyuu for Shione since she is one of the characters that I am interested in. Ever since in episode 4 where she tempted Mamoru in the kissing scene, that tone of “Mamoru-kun, hiyaku! (bad typo)” captured my attention with the seductive yet cute tone. Mamiko NOTO is in fact the seiyuu for Shione.

I always like the yellow drill haired gal a lot and it seemed that she has also seiyuu for notable roles such as Ana Coppola (Ichigo Mashimaro), Shimako from Maria-sama ga Miteru, Hectate from Shakugan no Shana as well as Rinko from Law of Ueki, all characters that I enjoyed quite a bit.

I do not know what is that tone, but there is just this certain cuteness and mischievous intention that I liked about that voice. That said, I really like Mamoru-kun because it combines a bit of drama plus humor in a good sense, yet not losing the plot completely. This will be interesting to see.

Lastly, for all who has watched this, admire the greatness in Eme-chan!

It seemed that the sickness and fever was caused by the immense amount of Beatrix in Ayako’s body. There had been speculations by her doctor-professor that the Beatrix had affected the growth and this might have caused the imbalance of Beatrix in her body.

Ayako did not agree, but the school council president said that it would require at least 3 days for her to heal. Since the school festival is tomorrow, Ayako would never recover in time as she started to cry alone. As everyone left, Mamoru asked to stay back and saw Ayako’s diary, displaying all the things that they had done.

Ayako also told Mamoru not to worry and concentrate on it. The next day, Mamoru got a call early from Ayano, giving him encouragement and told him that she would recover fast and join him tomorrow. At school, the student council performed but Mamoru rushed out immediately after that to meet Ayako. She was still sick as the student council came over to pass an Ayano plushie that was made by the sewing club. It seemed that there was a way to control that Beatrix but there was a definite risk.

Ayako and Mamoru eventually convinced the student council president about the decision. The president also suggested he could do it but Ayako trusted Mamoru to do it. As the president left them alone, Ayako stripped naked as Mamoru concentrated and tried to control the Beatrix. Ayano then placed his hand on her chest as they had a dream like feature of their confession with each other.

The next day, Ayako recovered and they were in the play. At the end of the show, Ayako was lying on the bed, with the orange spotlight to simulate that evening sun. Mamoru then gave her a gentle peck on the cheek. As the curtains drew down and went up again, Ayako gave him back a kiss and told him that it was the best present ever. A white haired gal then said something about the Beatrix as well as Ayako being the fallen lady.

————————————

Thoughts

I finally got the name of the yellow drill hair gal! Her name is Shione and I officially think that she’s so cute. Honestly, her appearance every time resulted in me laughing and I must say that the last scene where she goes down after a head clash with Ayako was definitely stunning and amusing.

Some people might not take Mamoru too seriously. I do not as well, which is why some people might hate this episode for the lack of comedy. However, I actually like this episode due to the strong development of the relationship between Mamoru and Ayako. They have been moving slightly too fast and I thought that this episode helps set them up for the future. It is really sweet in my humble opinion the relationship of the two.

Sigh, just so cute and sweet.

One thing that surprises me was that almost everyone was serious in this episode. The maturity of the crazy student president was on that surprise list the most. It seemed that the president actually fought battles and was a strong Beatrix person as well. That surprises me too, even though they keep getting hit. I assumed it was a joke rather than being seriously bestowed with Beatrix.

This series also seemed to be turning with a bit of serious tones, which I do not know whether it will be good or bad. However, the chemistry between Ayako and Mamoru is great and that alone makes this show a good viewing habit. The next episode seems to concentrate on the white girl, who is the ice maiden.

Is she an enemy? I do not know just yet.

P/s Ayako’s plushie is for the win!!!!

The best thing about watching two comedy series back-to-back is that you tend to laugh so much that you feel completely good after it. This is how I felt when I watch Mamoru episode 4 and Otome episode 4. They both made me laugh so hard that my stomach was hurting afterwards. In fact, my throat now hurts from the immense amount of laughing I did from the two shows. Anyway, a bit of humor here and there, and an extremely short summary.

Episode 4 Rating: B+

—————————————–

Episode summary

Mamoru was used once again by the student council to persuade Ayako to join the “Sleeping Beauty” act as the original female lead was sick. Ayako eventually bombed them out silly but was persuaded eventually by Mamoru to accept the role. However, Mamoru was initially nervous over the lines but Ayako assured him to calm down as they did it effectively. Mamoru’s class was planting some strange mutant giant plants or something.

As they continued to rehearse, there was a love scene which the two stammered and blushed. Somehow, the student council had a deranged idea of having a kiss scene. They then had the drill hair blond girl to give a kiss to Mamoru. At the nick of time, Ayako went berserk and said that she had not done it with Mamoru. As she turned embarrassed, she left in a hurry in the rain. Mamoru chased her and asked her to go back to the building since everyone was gone.

They then changed in the room, with Ayako telling Mamoru it was all right if he stayed (oh, suggestive but no…). She then mentioned that they could kiss in the act and was embarrassed all about it. With that, everything went smooth as they practiced, with the days of the practice coming soon. On the 2nd last day, Ayako’s sneezing was getting worse and Mamoru told her to go to the resting bay if she was not feeling well. However, she fainted due to the sickness, as everyone was left in shock.

——————————————-

Thoughts

Look at the first picture from the right. What I like about Ayako is how she switches from mega-dere dere to mega-tsun. She is so amusing that the whole stereotypical tsundere is mocked and laughed at. This is good stuff, simply because Mamoru never bothered to be serious or anything. This is why this show rocks. If it tried to act some elements of serious drama, it might work but the fact that they have more and more ridiculous scenes make this show an instant wonder.

Even though I cannot remember any other names other than the photograph-crazy Mitsuki. For some reason, she always seems to be able to avoid Ayako’s wrath with her mega escapism. She must be a magician or something that can disappear at a point’s notice. The whole scene of Ayako going all embarrassed and “baka” (stupid, idiot) when the drill hair blond gal tried to kiss Mamoru was really classic. I think I already watched the scene like 6-7 times because the nervous @_@ eyes of Ayako was just so darn cute.

I love her being jealous and embarrassed. So cute!

I think the next episode follows this, since there is no preview on it at all. I wonder if they would really kiss. Hot sexy ones, please!

*gets whacked to outer space like the student council president*

Just random, but did you notice the hair having numbers to signify the numbers of days left for the school festival? I laughed when I saw it because it was so darn lame ^+^

————————
Episode summary

We have a big situation happening in this stragetic dark area, where the growth of latent Beatrice is about to explode. Suddenly, it stopped as the people in this area sighed a breath of relief. Mamoru was having a nightmare about having the power to create miracles and we see the siloutette of Ayako in the background. With that, Mamoru woke up, with him walking down slowly to see his sister and mother in shock. Ayako had came over to pick him up and the family knew that they were an item. She blushed badly of course.

As they reached the school, they saw a large banner congraluating them for their official courting. The cam girl was selling pictures of the hot date between Mamoru and Ayako. The student council added to the buzz by the coms to publicize the recording on the confession that the two had during that evening. Ayako went insane and charged at them, eliminating all of the people in the coms area immediately. Everyone then surrounded Mamoru, saying that he really did get attached with Ayako.

As school ended, Ayako grabbed Mamoru with a disguise and dragged him to a quiet place to give him lunch that she had brought to school. It was all his favorite food, as they had a private gathering, not. The camera was already playing the scene as the student council said it was not exciting enough. To move the relationship, they decided to have a welcome party for Mamoru in Ayako’s house, with all the necessary approval done, much to Ayako’s disgust.

Mamoru reached home, with his sister just finished from bathing and half naked. She then asked if Mamoru was excited seeing her hot body and he told her to wear some clothes lest she got a cold (WHAT?). She then asked about Ayako, only to realize that Mamoru did not know much about her and that he had not told her that he likes her.

The next day, Mamoru was shocked at the hugeness of the house, but was in an awkward situation when he asked about the parents of Ayako. Her grandfather seemed to be a big shot too, but I was not too sure who he was other than he was one of the key officials for the government. As he saw the president and the sister of the president in tons of injuries, Mamoru rushed over to see Ayako in a hot, cleavage showing red dress, an effort by the student council to dress nicely. She blushed immensly when Mamoru praised that she was beautriful in it. The council then suggested to play “catch kitty?” where the council will find them in one hour. If they do, Mamoru and Ayako have to kiss in front of the school.

As the student council employed the butler to balance out the traps and hidden paths, they could track where Ayako was but ayako smashed them all and that meant that “they are not discovered yet”. Man, what the hell seriously. Eventually, they cornered her to a room as Mamoru charged in. It was her room as they hid inside one of the closets as Mamoru was pressed closer to Ayako, making them blush. As the council left the room, a photo album popped out and the faces of her parents were deleted away or crossed out by pen markings.

It was then that Ayako told Mamoru that she was hated as she was a monster and her parents were hatefully jealous of the Beatrix powers that her uncle and her possessed. She was used to being hated, ostrachized and all that, so it did not matter. It was little wonder too, since she was unable to control her powers when she was young, causing lots of trouble. However, Mamoru said that everyone in the council liked her and he did as well. He did not want her to feel hated or be used to that feeling anymore as an Awww moment occured. The council then appeared around their hiding place in the room as they caught that special moment and Ayako blasted them to smiteereens. Hohohoh~

———————————-

Thoughts

Other than the humorous parts on this show, I like the humanizing of Ayako in which she is seen as a monster. Most anime of comedy genre likes to portray people with special powers in a nice light, and I find it is a light touch that she feels depressed and hated for having such special powers. She is but a normal, sensitive and weak girl who incidentally has Beatrix powers that can destroy a world.

It is not what she wished for. However, this is just a side thought to it, as I find the nice, sweet relationship between Mamoru and Ayako to be absolutely cute. This is not a deep anime and I do not expect any deep stuff to come in but I really like it when Ayako blushes so sweetly and cutely whenever Mamoru is around.

Somehow, the forewarning in the dream is interesting and I wonder what will happen? Perhaps, Mamoru is the one that has the special powers instead of Ayako? Nah, i am not sure but this is really a nice romantic comedy.

hohohoho~ enjoy the red dress too, Ayako looks hot in it and for some reason, Ayako likes to snuggle Mamoru with her chest.

I wonder why?

This is the epitome of dere-dere. Man, why can’t I have a cute and powerful woman by my side too. Well, I guess it is only short guys who have all the luck. *curses and swears*…

Remember this face well. Ayako is just so cute in this episode. Well, I am not saying she is not cute in the previous episode but when her dere-dereness is used against her, it is just so funny. This is well not as scary laughter as Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, but good enough to put me in quite a few stitches.

This anime is good comedy value, considering the serious stuff that I have already on my hands such as Bokura, Kanon, Asatte and Red Garden. So, this seems like yet another keepers for me, at least for a while until I get bored of watching brainless stuff.

Episode summary

Mamoru was called over as the world was in trouble. In fact, it was simply that the astral fire was stolen and he was brought to calm Ayako. Of course, Ayako flared up until she saw Mamoru and started blushing. However, she regained her senses and punched the living lights out of the president. After that, the president decided to place Mamoru and Ayako together as a team to retreieve the astral fire. The astral fire was a weapon created by Ayako and then Ayako left the school, telling Mamoru that she would meet him later.

We see the spectaled secretary sneaking around and from some prodding by Mamoru, she revealed she was the one who stole the weapon away to save her dog, Arun, who was kidnapped by the enemy. She felt really stupid to do it, especially to betray the person’s trust. After school, Ayako and Mamoru went over to a cafe and Ayako was feeling embarrased to call his name. Eventually, she did and was spoonfeeding Mamoru with ice cream until she noticed that the student council was taking pictures. She cleared them off once again with the mega strength again of course.

As they walked along the beach to find the weapon as she could sense the source, she asked Mamoru whether she could have her answer. Mamoru felt that he was not good enough and could not protect her but did not have time to answer as an explosion occured. Ayako was angry her best chance was disturbed and chased after the explosion, telling Mamoru to stay put. Of course, he did not and gave chase. Ayako was fighting against someone who had removed the Beatrix in the vicinity.

After that, she was forced to dodge and hide, as the man sprinked his machine gun all around to kill her. As Mamoru rushed up, he noticed that he was but a liability to Ayako as Ayako would be distracted from him being there. The dog, Arun, then appeared as he charged out and was noticed by the enemy. That caused Ayako to rush from her position to save him and she was shot. Mamoru was so angry at himself because Ayako was still a girl and he allowed her to get injured.

He then tried to stop the person as the man used the Astral fire to kill Ayako. Mamoru was weak and was unable to stop him as the man was ready to fire it off. Suddenly, he also released Beatrix powers as he literally turned the man into a living flame. He then fainted from the exertion. As he woke up, he found himself inside Ayako’s car and Ayako thanked him for the help. She also said that he had used his Beatrix powers to protect her.

As they returned back to the council, the secretary asked for forgiveness and it seemed that the president already changed it to a fake one, deceiving everyone. So everything was already safe as he already knew the secretary was going to steal and he trusted that she would tell him one day. As the punishment was a punch, the secretary accepted it but Mamoru said he deserved one for hiding the truth.

The day finally ended as Mamoru and Ayako walked home together. Ayako said she promised to protect him but failed to do so. When he was around, she became nervous and she said she had no confidence to protect him and he was going to be harmed if she was with him. She was about to speak more when Mamoru cut her off and said that he felt that since he had Beatrix powers, he would be of some help as he asked whether they could go out together.

Of course, she agreed.

Hohohohoh~

———————————

Thoughts

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Ok, enough swooning. I think I literally scared the living lights out of you right now, so I will snap out of my fanboy mode. Anyway, I really like the idea that Mamoru is not a lame shota that has no abilities. In fact, he is probably a less weakling that can save our megadere Ayako in times of trouble too. Now, that makes it better than a main male lead whose only ability is to provide moral support. This is much better.

Well, I actually like the fast forward romance of Ayako and Mamoru. Many shows spent too much time on this lovey dovey stuff that makes no sense at all. If you are slanting yourself as a comedy, do a comedy romance and not try to add too many unneeded genres like drama and lame fanservice. Fanservice generally sucks unless you make it so obvious until it no longer affects you the same way. This anime is definitely not fitting for subtle fanservice, even though there is a bit of it…

Nothing biggie though.

In fact, putting this away will mean that they will be better action eventually, so I am excited to go and see the improving relationship between Mamoru and Ayako. This seems to be a hilarious comedy romance genre even though I am still very curious what is Beatrix. I mean, how did Ayako get it in the first place. The stranger question goes like….How did Mamoru get Beatrix powers? Perhaps, that is the reason why he was allowed to enter the Tokyo Beatrix University.

Even though the student council is merely for comedy purposes, I like the little thing that the president is in fact quite smart. I mean they can make him completely dumb but the fact that he changed the Astral fire to a fake one makes him slightly more credible. However, his credibility is probably like 0.000001 %. Or something close to that. Still, there is some credibility.

Applause! *_*

Interesting and laughable stuff. I enjoy this brainless show quite a bit and I cannot wait to watch another episode of this.

Oh, the greatest discovery of all time. A tsundere liking a shorty and a green haired shorty for that. Hmmm, this is very interesting. Very interesting indeed.

Hohoh, this series is amusing. After reading the episode summary from Hinano, I decided to give this series a try, not expecting much from it. I guess that is the best part of the whole show, because I laughed my head off at the ridiculous amount of ROFL MOMENTS. Ayako is your standard tsundere, but she also has the great strength to pull off some of the most insane violence acts ever.

Wow, she’s mad and I like her already. This show is probably going to be insanely funny if it carried on with this madcap humor. I really need such a LAUGH OUT LOUD series and this might be even better than otome when it came to laughing for stupidity. However, due to the length of the show (seems to be 24 according to TL-chan), I will probably blog it once in a while when it’s insane. Anyway, all that is not important.

Go, Ayako, go!

———————

Characters

Ayako: Our female lead and a tsundere. She possessed this special ability called the Beatrix and she has great strength to carry a car easily. She always have great physical abilities and agility, jumping off a speeding car and balancing on a car door to evade a stalker fanboy. Oh, she has a shortie complex since she liked Mamoru without any explaination. Bang!

Mamoru: The child-like shortie and he is the love interest of Ayako. He seems to have possessed certain capabilities that make him especially smart and all. However, due to the fact that I got lost in translation, I have no idea whatsoever what he is good at. On his first day of school, he was confessed to by Ayako, who he thought was very pretty. So yea.

—————————-

Episode summary

Mamoru went over to school, seeing a beautiful girl watching the Sakura fall. After that, the girl suddenly came over and started to blush. He then removed a petal from the shoulders of the girl, and with a red blush, she confessed her feelings. It seemed that the girl, Ayako was very famous in the school, as news started to spread of her confession. Everyone started to look at Mamoru, who was uncomfortable with the attention. The stalker of ayako then mentioned about Ayako being a very powerful and famous girl with Beatrix powers. A photo-taking whore rescued Mamoru from the attention of the stalker as Mitsuki dragged him away to the student council.

There, we are notified of Ayako’s powers and they started to establish some random cupid love for Mamoru and Ayako. Of course, Ayako crashed into the area and caused a great ruckus of events, eventually reducing the whole student council room to ashes.

The next day, Mamoru was walking out to school when he realized that Ayako’s car was waiting for him. However, it was amusing when she blushed again when she was treated like a gal by Mamoru. Ayako was also circling around the area since 5 am to meet up with Mamoru. After a while, she noticed that the stalker was hunting her as she kicked off the door of the car and used the door as a balance as she jumped off. She then grabbed Mamoru who went to her chest and his head stuck there (LUCKY BASTARD!). As the stalker saw Mamoru’s panties as she went past, he nosebleed until the whole car was covered and they crashed. After that, Ayako gave Mamoru a notebook, asking him to fill in the details.

She was in fact asking him all sorts of things and she was just too shy to ask him in person. As they met up again to discuss about her Beatrix powers, she showed it as she changed the evening sky to a star-filled night before returning. There is some talk of Beatrix being used in a wrong way by others, but that was lost in translation too. Mamoru then returned her the book and she noticed that her last question (would u go out with me) was left blank.

He decided to say it in person but was interrupted when the attendant came with the car and the student council was eavesdropping as she threw the car at them @_@;;. With that, she left chasing them. Late in the night, Mamoru wondered how Ayako was and wanted to know more. As he slept, he was woken up by a phonecall that was from the president. Something that threatened Earth was coming and he was asked to come over.

————————————-

Thoughts

Mamoru for one seems to be rather strong despite his short stature. Unlike the kind that gets bullied all the time, he seems to have some control of Ayako as they cut the story part of Tsun to dere dere. Ayako immediately turned all dere dere toward him and violent toward everyone else. I liked that for some reason because it reduced all the silly violence and it jumped straight to the irrational and fitting story of.

Ayako <3 Mamoru.

Much easier, and it puts Mamoru in a much better light than most characters in this situation as he seemed to be less of a loser. In fact, he was supposed to be very smart and a perfect curb for Ayako. No idea though how this whole series will turn out but if it continued to be so crazily insane and amusing, I am watching this. I also liked Ayako a lot because her blushing was just so, so, so cute.

Honestly, she could literally blow up a building one minute and blushed like a red tomato the next. Talk about temperament, baby. Anyway, this show is recommended possibly if you like madcap humor that required not much intelligence. I am not an intelligent person, so I enjoyed it.

Of course, you can still enjoy it if you are smart. I mean….Yea.

ROCK ON! I like this silly show!
