Before you go, here comes the fillers again, let me assure you that this is worth watching because of the amount of hilarity, and “foreboding” at the end of the episode. I will not spoil you too much but this is an episode I feel that “fillers can be done decently well if they know what they are doing.” The episode is obviously yet another attempt to make people go into seizures over the quirky characters of the series.

Here we go again at the stupid stuff.

As the title says it, there’s filler… and there’s filler. The previous two episodes, despite the rather letdown conclusion, was decent filler that would not hurt any series at all. This week’s filler was something rather unexpected. Oh, if it helps, next week seems to be YET another filler.

I wonder why Sebastian brings dog food… Maybe he’s a closet dog fan?

I still wonder why Sebastian hates dogs so much. Maybe he hates licking?

Anyway, a quick recap of last episode. Ciel and company were tasked by the Queen to solve the mystery of a devil dog haunting a small isolated town. The townspeople believed that if anyone sinned, they would be killed by the devil dog. This turned out to be a ploy by the governor of the town, Henry, in order to maintain power. However, when Henry was killed by the “devil dog”, it was clear that the case was not over yet.

If someone told me that during the fall anime preview that Kuroshitsuji will be an anime filled with moral issues and hard decisions, I would probably scorned at your naivete and stupidity. Yes, I have to eat my words because Kuroshitsuji has proven to mix comedy, action and heavy themes into a very eclectic mix. This episode ends the “Jack the Ripper” arc with a beautiful dirge of sorrow, agony and pain.
