In episodes 5 and 6, we meet Haraken, president of the school’s Biology Club and Number 5 of Mega-baa’s cyber-investigation agency. He’s known for being shy, non-social, and his non-leadership skills. Haraken only seems to be interested in his research on Illegals however, he does care about his friends, saving them a few times from the Satchii.

Episode 5

Isako hires the help of Daichi’s Hackers Club by promising them a huge load of meta-bugs in an old junkyard full of buses. However, it seems that Isako is trying to find something other than meta-bugs. Fumie, Yasako, and Haraken follow Isako’s group to the junkyard in order to get in on the stash of meta-bugs. After digging a bunch of holes in over 15 different buses, they eventually find a few meta-bugs but, their little excavation hunt goes short when the Satchiis appear.

A large fire is set off by Isako and Daichi and his gang are bribed into joining Isako by becoming her lackeys. Fumie, Yasako, and Fumie’s little brother (who was with Daichi) are cornered by a Satchii when Haraken appears and commands the Satchii to stop. Thus, this allowed Yasako and co. to escape.

Episode 6

After the incident at the junkyard, Fumie immediately distrusts Haraken since he’s able to control the Satchiis. Fumie and Yasako (to an extent) ambush Haraken trying to question him about his relation to the Satchiis. However, Haraken simply answers that he cannot say because he has a duty of confidentiality and escapes by using a smoke bomb.

Fumie and Yasako start on conducting research on the Satchii by testing what Satchiis consider illegal and will shoot at and what their detection range is like. Things go well except with Kyoko tries to tag along and gets in trouble.

Fumie and Yasako finally have a talk with Haraken where he talks about how Kanna (the girl he started the research on Illegals with) died in a car accident due to an Illegal messing up the navigation system. He mentions that he must continue with is research or else Kanna won’t be able to rest in peace. Fumie and Haraken make up (Yasako was never really against Haraken) and they go off to look for Kyoko who seems to have gone missing.

Kyoko almost gets run over by a truck but, she gets saved by a stranger on a motorcycle. It turns out that this person is really Haraken’s aunt, a consultant of cyberspace management and if I’m not mistaken, the person in charge of the Satchiis.

Impressions

One thing I forgot to mention is that Daichi and his gang used to be in the Biology Club with Haraken and Fumie. However, they left the club after causing a bunch of trouble thus, leading to the birth of the Hacker’s Club. After that happened, Fumie volunteered to become the new president of the Biology Club but, Haraken was given the position instead. Despite all this, Isako now controls the Hacker’s Club making Daichi one of her lackeys.

Anyways, overall I loved these two episodes. Meeting new characters is always a plus for me as long as it doesn’t get overwhelming. I’m wondering who the rest of the members of Mega-baa’s little club are… so far with have:

0-	Mega-baa
1-	???
2-	???
3-	???
4-	???
5-	Haraken
6-	???
7-	Fumie
8-	Yasako

It doesn’t appear that Daichi or any of his followers are part of Mega-baa’s organization or at least it hasn’t been reveal as so yet.

Haraken is a bit of an interesting character despite is lack of emotions. He seems determined to continue with his research and I wonder what that research may reveal in terms of the overall plot if anything. I’m wondering if something will happen to Haraken since his power to control Satchii for one whole minute seems to be a little overpowering. This might be an important thing since so far the only enemy present in the series so far is the Satchii whereas the only Illegal that has appeared has been destroyed. It seems though that there will be an illegal in episode 7.

Denpa also seems to have an interesting ability. It was a bit subtle but, there were two instances in episode 5 where Denpa was able to hear sounds from meta-bugs while others were not able to. There was also that time where it was said that Denpa usually has good reception and that’s why he’s nicknamed Denpa. I’m wondering how this will affect the story if at all.

Anyways, can’t wait for episode 7… Move out! Coil Investigation Agency! ^^

Continuing where we left off from the last episode, the Mojos are attempting to capture Densuke with Mega-baa and Kyoko (more or less) trying to stop them. However, Mega-baa breaks her back and Kyoko runs off with a megane-beam, zapping anything in sight.

Yasako goes into her first day at her new school with Fumie and Daichi. Daichi however, doesn’t seem to fancy Yasako, blaming her for not being able to capture his “quarry

In the world of Dennou Coil, the world you see in front of you isn’t exactly what it seems. With the help of these special glasses, a world you never imagined before appears around you.

Even after watching this episode a bunch of times (with subtitles), a lot of things were still not quite understandable. So, please bare with me on the names and such… I tried as best as I could, honest ^^;

Summary

Okonogi Yuko, her sister Kyoko, and their cyberpet dog Densuke are moving to Daikoku City to live with their grandmother. As they’re riding on the train, they notice an ominous fog which Yuko describes as a bad omen.

In the meantime, a dark creature called an illegal appears somewhere in the Daikoku City. A young girl (Isako?) attempts to capture the illegal by using a cybercat as bait. However, she is interrupted by a flying sentry drone called Kyuu-chan. The Kyuu-chan attacks the illegal and they all run off in separate directions.

While waiting to get picked up at a fast food place, Kyoko runs off with Densuke and Yuko chases after them. They find a trail of black cyber-substance which leads to the illegal that appeared earlier. The illegal starts to run away and Kyoko and Densuke run after it while Yuko tries to catch up. However, Yuko loses sight of them after they take a turn at the corner.

We then meet Fumie. She’s part of a group called Coil Cyberinvestigation Agency which is a group of kids that search for lost cyberpets. Anyways, Fumie’s on a job to catch a cybercat named Hepburn but, as she’s about to catch him Daichi, a boy from the same organization, startles the cat and it gets away. Fumie and Daichi get into an argument and go off on their own ways to find Hepburn.

Yuko mistakenly catches Hepburn thinking that it was Densuke and Fumie finds her and accuses her of stealing her job. However, Yuko has no idea what Fumie is talking about and Hepburn gets taken away for a sum of 200 meta (which seems to be some sort of underground currency since Yuko doesn’t know what it is). Yuko also receives Fumie’s business card in the confusion.

Yuko remembers that she can track Densuke with the help of technology and brings up a map of his whereabouts. While searching for Densuke, she is attacked by the illegal and accidentally creates a hole in the cyberspace when trying to hit it away with her virtual map. Densuke then comes running to save Yuko from the virus and in the scuffle the illegal and Densuke go through the hole as it was closing, trapping them both in some sort of obsolete cyberspace.

Kyoko finds Yuko at the scene of the incident and they try to look for Densuke. We then get a flashback to when Yuko was younger and when she first received her glasses and when she first met Densuke. Yuko and Kyoko get picked up (by their mom?) but, Yuko continues to look for Densuke without Kyoko.

Yuko calls Fumie to help look for Densuke for the sum of… 200 meta. Fumie asks Yuko how exactly Densuke went missing and thus Yuko told her about the hole in the wall and the illegal. When Yuko mentions something about a mysterious living creature, Fumie realizes that it was an illegal and informs someone over the phone about its presence.

Fumie and Yuko investigate the area and enter an empty construction site. Fumie asks Yuko to hold up a piece of metal as she sprays “Kuro bug spray
