Suzumiya Haruhi 2, Episode 14- And Various Things Happened
We got some new swimsuits and summer outfits, and then same stuff happened as before. I think this was the first time I’ve ever been bored watching an episode of Haruhi. Not even joking, I’m completely out of interesting things to say about the same events we’ve experienced multiple times already…

Indeed, I don’t blame anyone if they don’t wanna blog this episode, considering its pretty much the same as last week’s own. One thing im thankful for though is the lack of yaoi service, we can only thank god for that, or the producers. Also maybe the producer wants to end it all at 15,500 just rolls of the tongue so nicely eh.
I am debating even watching this episode.
I think it’ll keep for when I’m already extremely bored.
totally agree with everyone else, this is really freaking stupid. they’ve shown the same episode for 3 episodes straight. i can’t take it anymore
it might even be the fun of the makers to check how many ppl will actually watch the show even though they probably know its the same episode. ppl will get angry if they prolongue it more so next episode should finish it idd… i can already imagine the end of it being in the last minutes of the episode, owh the horror of watching the deja vu again and again
Yep, you read my mind. Whenever I get around to rewatching season 2, this will be the first and (hopefully) only episode that I’ll probably skip over.
hahaha, you can skip all the 15000 deja vus and just watch the final one and still not miss anything xD

I haven’t read this far into the manga, but how many times did they repeat the events of Endless 8 in the manga?
I don’t think the manga has gotten that far yet, but in the novel they only went through one iteration. Basically, the 2nd endless eight episode in the anime would of been the same as the novel, but instead of ending with a bad end, Kyon stops the repeating cycle and all is well.

those bastards extending it by a whole friggin episode, they deserve some sort of punishment after making us wait HOW MANY YEARS for a second season then they pull this crap. So people any punishment ideas, C’mon lets get a brainstorm goin.

I think KyoAni wanted us to feel this way (they’re not retarded)… it’s probably part of some plan (the feeling of boredom, groundhog day Haruhi-style, will probably add more spice to future eps). They’re willing to risk this because they know we’ll stay loyal to the franchise even with this little “unnecessary addition.” Respect, KyoAni… respect…
Such abuse of the fanbase will only be allowed so long as the product is, in fact, superior.
If they screw up, they’re going to get hosed, with no goodwill from fans left.
@WolfXI The manga is actually halfway through Disapearance right now. The manga also only showed one iteration: 15498, where they break the loop. Which means KyoAni is not only abusing fans, it’s screwing with the official canon…

I agree with jbv. When the second season comes on dvd, no one will buy the damn thing since 8-9 episodes are all the same. Who wants to have the same episode 8-9 times? Hell, I’ve seen it enough times I remember every freaking word each character says. Why the hell would I want to buy the DVDs to go through that same boredem? I’ll just buy the ones I like. I hope the jerk that thought it would be fun to show the multiple iterations gets shunned from making this anime. It’s a ballsy, stupid move. Someone tell me when they finally resolve this catastrophe, and maybe I’ll try again. Lastly, Thank you KyoAni for destroying one of my favorite animes!
