I figured that after having watched Pailsen files first I might as well do it chronologically, I am curious as to see if it works or not since I am a rookie. They really never finished with Shining Heresy? That sucks.

The chronological order can be found in the wikipedia article on Votoms. I prefer to have a continuous narrative where ever possible whether or not it works is another story…

If you like hard science fiction and a gritty universe then I recommend it, otherwise it is nothing like the mecha series you see come out today. Certainly it’s on the other end of the spectrum when compared to Macross. Still it is one of the few real robot shows of some renown.

I’ve never even heard of this show, but as a fan of Macross..and the like, is this a recommendation?, or would I have had to have watched it when I was younger to appreciate it.

I am also planning watching votoms, can you tell me what is the chronological order ?(yeah I also prefer watching thing chronologically like after watching the original Gundam skipping to all the OYW OVA’s and Stardust and only after watching Zeta)

You really should have followed the release order for Votoms. Last Red Shoulder was never meant to be an intro to the Votoms universe and it kinda spoils a bit some of the plot points from the main series.

Good luck with finding Shining Heresy. Not only has it not been properly subbed, the story itself was never completed, so it is very much an unfinished product.
