A Call to Arms! – your staves, raise them!

Most of us enjoy a bit of music, or rather, anime music. Though the fact may be apparent: the animusic community is not that large. Yet, more importantly, the animusic community is not solidified by any driving force(s). The aniblogosphere has nano, antennae, and just a generalized perception that it’s there. I do not think animusic has this.

So in an effort to solidify the community, this is just a request to bloggers that have, at one point or another, blogged about their love for animusic, which contains other related topics like seiyuu, j-pop, sheet music, and so forth – post your music feeds! If you have a wordpress blog this is easy, just go to your front page, click on your “music” category (or whatever it’s named), and click on the feed button in the address bar. You should get several options, the bottom one indicating the feed for the specific category.

For bloggers that host their own blogs, this might be readily available (not like I know how to implement this anyway), but Pipes temporally resolves the problem. I’m sure bloggers that hosting know how to use it…

Here is the google reader public aggregate feed I’m constructing. It is lonely! Only 11 feeds, need moar plz.

    11 feeds isn’t all I have, I just took a break from going back to each individual blog to get the feed X_X

    Short and sweet.Lack of sleep is making me imagine things, it seems…Added your feed, but honestly, not a lot of people focus on the music aspect of anime (besides the occasional OP & ED).

    OSHI, I approve.

    Pipes, I dunno. Too lazy to arse around with my blog right now (and in the near future). I also don’t know what’s in your greader feed. Music-wise, there is at least a couple blogs on anano, like the Kanno blogs and Kajiura blogs. There’s also random tie-in with seiyuu blogs (j1m0ne’s come to mind) that deals with pop music. And then there’s the straight-up jpop blogs that deals with anime-related stuff. YMMV.

    Let me know if you actually want a list of my subs.

    More posts than I expected, actually. But I do love music in anime. I don’t talk about it much because either others don’t want to talk about it or I silence myself because of my lack of knowledge of music theory. :P

    I’ve blogged about music. Twice in fact! (Except not in any sort of analytical way, just listed a bunch of songs I liked… in fact, my posts in the music category barely had anything to do with music).

    Hmm… the only music related stuff I’ve really posted about was just liking certain openings or endings. I don’t really know enough about music to analyze it :p I just like or dislike it~

    I’m starting to see a pattern emerge. Unfortunately, the pattern is a catch-22 which is odd given that I’ve yet to see a comment creep into my One Outs OST review. Surely someone out there has an opinion of the music in that series or an opinion of my opinion. щ(ﾟДﾟщ)

    May I suggest pinging the dear folks at Pandora while you’re at it? I’ve emailed them previously with specific songs I’d like added to the service, and I would imagine more folks doing the same might make my dream of listening to a Vangelis number followed by the ending theme from Paranoia Agent come true…

    @zzero: the fact that it’s a SPORTS ANIMU may have something to do with it….though correlation isn’t causation…

    @naweg: hmmm I’m semi-familiar with the site, hopefully they have forums or something? Not sure if it’ll be related to anime though. I’ll give it a shot though, thanks for that recommendation.

    oh, and as per omo’s comment, it’s sort of “impossible” to see the content of the aggregate feed. I don’t know crap about OPML files or anything, if those are even related, but there’s no easy to way let everyone know when I update this feed and with whose blog it contains…
