The manga also wasn’t especially interesting dealing with the Ryuuken arch so I wasn’t really looking forward to this episode but it was alright. Though I thought Mariya’s threat about raping Kanako was in very bad form on his part.

Mariya really won this episode in terms of good looking, but voice acting Kawaii winner is still Dorm Mistress. Whoever the hell that VA is must make those Moe-lovers splatter with joy every week.

anyone else think it was hilarious when ryuuken’s cat smacked the dog. there was something outlandish about that in a reserved sort of way.

@marmoset, i think they just need to use their most flamboyant characters more. i’ve sort of gotten used to kanako’s fantasy’s by now, but i think i have an endless tolerance for more mariya’s and matsurika’s sadism. even better in maid outfits =D

I remain unimpressed by this so far, it’s watchable but it feels stale already. Shinbo needs to learn that you need more than flamboyant characters to keep something fresh, and I don’t mean add more flamboyant characters!

I also had Chihiro vibes when I saw that. I imagine Kanako would have enjoyed Chihiro’s condition of redoing and replaying the same event every morning though. Talk about the nosebleeds we’d see. ^^;

The fanservice was short, but to me, that was the highlight. As for the alaria, it seems California Wakame (Kelp*)has alaria marginata. It’s also called California Nori. I never had it, but it’s meant to be healthy.

Next episode is Friday the 13th. It’s meant to be bad luck, but maybe, Kanako will have some “good luck”, ne? ^^ (and please have Mariya cosplay some more!)

I don’t know if it’s exactly alaria but I’ve had expanded algae before. You soak it, it expands and then you boil it. My mother will swear by its health benefits but it’s tasteless without seasoning and rubbery. ^^;

Maid Mariya is a sight for sore eyes…until he pokes them out.
