They are very nice songs…are either of them on the OST? Is it possible that you can send me the links to download these two songs that you have hosted on here? I tried finding what they are called but to no avail and I just LOVE songs that are sad and lonely sounding. I have a collection of sad bgm songs and I would really like to add this to my collection, especially since Toradora has captured my heart in many ways. Thanks!

“Actually my favorite part of this piece is probably the first measure. The melody hits that lower f# to harmonize the nice emin9. It’s hard to describe the quality of minor ninth chords. They have a similar “suspended” quality like that of perfect fourths, though the only interval of a fourth is with the fifth, B. Hmmm…”

My knowledge of theory is pathetically low so there’s little that I can add, but I agree with your points. The songs sound good alone, but they also fit quite well with the scene, partially in terms of story and partially in terms of the visuals. Then again, I suppose both the visuals and the music aid the story in some sort of invisible way (yet obvious to the keen observer).
