Vampire Knight Guilty Ep 13- Why? WHY? Why does it have to end like this?
Zero comes to Yuki’s rescue. No, he won’t be taking any girls with him.
I swear that this is going to be my very LAST post of 2008 and the FIRST post of 2009. Please bear with it.
Arg…stupid. Baka Zero. Kaname just have to play mastermind and controls Zero like his worthless chess pawn in his favorite game just to kill Rido. And the way they kill Rido was definitely EPIC FAIL. If it was supposed to be easy they would have done it long ago, even before Rido became awake again. If you’re wondering why I’m still here, I only came here only on one condition; it’s to finish writing all my reviews without me getting all guilty there when I go back to school. I wonder why things are so hectic on my first day. *sigh*
Note: Spoilers up ahead the ‘Read More’ button. Read it, at your own risk. You either love it, or hate the last episode.
You need to lose weight, Rido-sama. Too much blood might make you obese and ugly.
Zero unleashes his ultimate weapon: Bloody Rose, Version 5.0 (With plant vines included.) and shoots recklessly with any vampire he comes with contact with (Minus Yuki and the Night Class students). Rido, trying to stall for time, runs away from their sight and without a doubt, Zero goes after him. Oh man, even if I take Yuki out of the last few episodes, things won’t change anyways. She just goes out with Kaname and left Zero all alone in Cross Academy. Poor Zero, he need to open up and make friends.
Emo Zero,
now a hero,
but without his Yuki,
he’s all alone.
I, Zero Kiryuu, will finish you off like stepping on tiny ants.
Desperately to get more blood, Rido goes out to the woods to suck more and more blood until Kaname interrupts with his rushed blood ‘feast’. Kaname blasts him with few of his owned attacks, Rido recovers, Kaname unleashes Zero’s ultimate power before blasting Rido into glass or sand…whatever the material is, fragments.
Haha, owned.
Seiren makes a better liar than you, Idol-senpai.
Ok, we exist to protect Yuki…WHAT? We’re loyal, obedient and most importantly, respectful to you Kaname-sama and you treat us like worthless soldiers? Man, you need a life.
Gay much. Period.
And yes, Rima and Shiki are pretty useless for the final battle. They don’t even seem to move a finger on killing Rido’s army of minions and just take a stroll to see Rido, the Almighty Pureblood and witness Zero pwned him like an insect as if they are taking a walk in the park. Even if I remove them from the final battle, everything would still remain intact and it would be indifferent from anyone else. They should just stay at the Night Class Dorms, have million sticks of Pocky and have a romantic night without realizing that they’re friends are in danger, protecting Yuki the Kuran Princess with all their might. But I still think they are a great pair for the entire 2 seasons duration.
Mmm…blood…taste very sweet? Zero, don’t cry. You’ll get a girlfriend someday.
Yuki packs all her stuff, sharing fluffy moments with Kaname before kissing…no they did not. Of all things, why is the kiss censored/edited/not shown at all. I could hear Kaname X Yuki fangirls screaming angrily from afar…I wish I could be Zero’s girlfriend when the anime ends, but I can’t since he and I are from two different world. He’s in the world of fantasy when everything is 2D in there while I’m in the world of reality, all things 3D.
And Kaname Kuran is also included in my list of ‘10 bishounen fangirls will scream frantically upon not seeing Yuki and Kaname kiss.’
Bye bye, Zero.
So Yuki makes her decision: She decides to leave with Kaname along with the rest of the Night Class students, while Zero stays in Cross Academy all alone and reminds that Yuki will always stay in his mind. For the last time, Rima and Shiki were hanging around the crumbled building and saw Takuma’s katana on the floor. It’s pretty obvious what happened to him with his grandfather when this happen. The Day Class students are allowed to go outside again after the fight with Rido-sama ends. At the same time, Yagari and the vampire hunters who came to Cross Academy under the gay President’s orders came to help up, taking the remaining out of the academy. All ends well. The End.
Impressions and whole review:
KAIEN!!! YOU’RE BACK!!! Yuki, call Kaien your father, now! He can’t bear to part with you.
Finally, they have a mind on their own.
R.I.P: Takuma Ichijou. He’s a great vampire.
So after all those emo-ness whipping around Zero, Yuki having to fit in when she was awaken as a vampire and Kaname’s sister/betrothed/lover, I could consider the ending could be bittersweet, good, bad by what you think of the show so far. Zero, someday you’ll have a girlfriend by not acting so emo and fierce at the Day Class girls.
One thing I found the situations a little out of hand was Kaname not doing anything except watching Zero become powerful enough to swat Rido like a bug. At least he could handle the Level E vampires, and yet he stands at the sideline, doing absolutely nothing AT ALL. Yuki still stands a chance; even though she can’t fight vampires due to her awoken powers, AT LEAST she still tries. Zero should kick his ass to get himself running and saving Yuki form any trouble instead of surrendering himself to Yagari and Kaien when he was confined at the basement level of the school. Are all of them useless or clueless what was going on?
SAMURAI SHIKI! And no, the sword doesn’t suit you one bit.
Zero misses Yuki after all. DAY CLASS STUDENTS: GO BACK TO YOUR DORMS!
Regarding to the animation, story and music itself; the animation in the second season has improved, though it’s not my style of art if you ask me. By looking closely at the animation quality, it’s not very consistent (Zero’s hair length, body proportions etc) but it’s true. Sorry. While the plot in the first season goes too quickly, the speed for the second season was a little slow but still in a good pace. There’s still some questions that left us unanswered but probably fans of this show would hope there will be a movie or an OVA coming out soon if responses are high. Talk about music, using instruments in the baroque and classical era was too dry but I am glad that both the OP and the ED songs for the second season left a decent impact on me. Overall, the second season got most of us intrigued by it’s plotline and animation.
Overall (Sub): 8.5/10 (It’s not bad already. So stop complaining.)
Story: 8.0/10
Animation: 7.5/10
Art Quality: 8.0/10
Music: 7.0/10
Voice-over work: 8.0/10 (Kaname’s seiyuu almost caught me asleep whenever I hear his draggy lines)
So see you 11 months from now!

That’s my interpretation (not a manga reader): by consuming his brother’s blood, Zero became some sort of Ultimate Vampire Hunter, having already absorbed the blood of pureblood vampires Kuran Kaname, Kuran Yuuki and Hyou Shizuka. This was all a plot by Kaname to make Zero strong enough to kill Rido, a task which he himself could not complete.
That’s where things get tricky. From what I understood, Kaname was actually the first ancestor of the Kuran family, revived by Rido’s blood (why?). Thus he was unable to kill his master once and forever. I probably lack some information from the manga to fully understand the whole picture. I don’t get the Council’s role in all of this.

Egads, this eps made me cringe moar than smiling/sad/or whatever feelings it was supposed to evoke-I mean, what’s up with ‘if u are a vampire bite me’ thingy?(-_-¤) such a flimsy excuse to create ZeroxYuki ship. Now i’m pretty sure romansu is dead </3 at least if there’s no ZxY or KxY, give us RimaxShiki :-* and pocky is very, very overestimated (-_-)
“I wish I could be Zero’s girlfriend when the anime ends”
indeed, I share the same sentiments ^n_n^
that aside,
glad u are still here and posting, RV <(^^<)
and good luck for u school! \,,/(^_^)\,,/
to be honest, this final ep really pissed me off. i wish i didn’t see it and be happy with what ending i’ve concocted on my own. piss, piss and more piss for vampire knight guilty. same goes for crunchyroll for dying today. so much for a great new year.
I guess I should really move away from reading the manga when there’s already the anime adaptation.
Seeing as how the anime ended by catching up with the manga (and remaining mostly a faithful adaptation despite some changes here and there), I doubt we’ll be seeing another installment of it for at least two years.
The Kanayuuki kiss being cut made me a sad puppy, but so did the missing Zeki kiss scene. I’m also not sold on Yuuki biting Zero, for reasons that are more apparent in the manga. And why is Yuuki still calling Kaname sempai? Whatever happened to Kaname-oniisama?
Great ending; Zero is still a vampire knight, Ruka is still alive (yay!), and the vampires are off…to find their own place in this world, I suppose. I don’t really see how a better conclusion could have been made, but that’s just me.
so in the end, yuuki choose kaname over zero???
can sumbody re confirm it for me???
thanx
so in the end, yuuki choose kaname over zero???
is it??
Yuuki did go with Kaname. Whether this means that the triangle is resolved is up to your interpretation. There is still the promise of waiting for Zero to come kill her (a bit different from the manga, which had a promise of running away from Zero so that he would stay alive by still having enemies to go after).
Although things are looking a bit grim for Zeki fans right now, the manga is not over (and the anime stayed mostly faithful), so I don’t think there’s any reason to give up hope yet (although I prefer Kaname over Zero so I don’t really care - I’m more interested in what Yuuki does from now on and how she will cope with her newfound powers and status. And also in where things are going now that the council is mostly taken care of).
I think its sad that they not have made the ”kiss” between Zero and Yuuki.
In the Manga, Zero points with bloody rose, on Yuuki, and Kaname comes to safe Yuuki, but Yuuki tells Kaname to go, so Zero and Yuuki can ‘’say” goodbye, and thats when the kiss between Yuuki and Zero comes..
This series is, and always will be, hilarious.
The series isn’t that funny lol….,it’s more scary than anything….
I was also very disappointed how easy the fight with Riido was. The ending was very nice though. I would like to see a continuation or ova. I haven’t read the manga yet, so I’ve no idea if there may be more to the story in there.
I hope there’s an ova or anything.. I want to know what happens to Ichijou!!
Rido’s death = FAIL
Yuki leaving with Kaname = FAIL
Second season > First Season
Is this show worth seeing it? No, unless you’re bored and seen everything else there’s to see. The show is still entertaining, but sometimes you’ll wonder what the heck is happening to the plot, and be confused. Overall, nice plot, horrible character design in my opinion, very nice openings.
The ending of this anime is nothing short of EPIC FAIL. The most anticlimatic black hole of an ending ever. Zero killed Rido and all I could think was, “That’s it?! 20+ episodes and THAT’S IT?!!?!?!” Ugh, I want my 23 minutes back.
I’m sort of disappointed with the ending. I’ve been a faithful reader of the manga, and they’ve been fairly true to it up until the end. The anime caught up with the manga so they rushed it and changed the ending. **SPOILER** In the manga there is an epic battle between Rido, Yuuki, and Zero. Ultimately Yuki and Zero destroy Rido together. Zero then turns his gun on Yuuki, and Kaname intercepts. Yuuki stops them from fighting, and tells Kaname that she wants to say goodbye to Zero. There is a kissing scene between them, and Zero swears that he will hunt her until the end now that she has become a vampire. Yuuki says that she’s okay with this because he’ll have a reason to continue living. The manga is a lot more tragic than the anime. You might say it is a lot darker. Oh, before the Zero x Yuuki fans get too excited about that kissing scene I mentioned Yuuki also kissed Kaname saying, “I’ll come back to Onni-sama.” It’s pretty clear that she loves both of them; it’s just not meant to be with Zero it seems. **END SPOILER** The manga is not over yet; a new issue is out this month. How it ended though makes me question what is going to happen next. As for the anime it ended similar enough that they could continue the series, but like most they probably won’t. I would hope that they would continue it and follow the manga closely again, but that may be a fools dream. For those of you that enjoyed the anime I strongly encourage you to read the manga. Just keep in mind it’s a bit of a darker story line, and it didn’t end as nicely as the anime did.
Hi all ,I missed you guys soooooo much.
Ok, that been told now back to the topic: OMG ? That’s it? That was the famous ending? I am very, very, very disappointed. From my point of view it’s an EPIC FAIL , too.The whole series was rushed , it’s hard to tell if the first season or the 2nd season won the 1st place for ‘ running to the finish’.
I guess I was expecting too much. The manga is so much better.*SPOILERS*Where’s the scene of Yuki kissing Kaname? Where is the awesome battle between Yuuki( a strong Yuuki) , Zero ( a very determined Zero) and Rido? Where is the flashing of the weapons? What happened with the part when Kaname and Zero have a short but breathtaking fight? Why didn’t they show how Kaname ‘tames’ Zero (muhhahaa, I’m just bitchy now, I actually love Zero)?
And the last but not the least :Where is the heavy and passionate Zero X Yuuki kiss scene? These were all extreme and delightful (ku ku ku) moments of the manga.
O my ,I forgot :Cross Kaine had an awesome battle scene in the manga ,what they showed in the anime was nothing. And there is also a part when they show a slide of his memories (Kaine’s) with Juli sama that shows us the similitude between him and Zero and the story of Yuuki’s parents and her own life.
I loved them and I was patiently waiting for them and now …NOTHING.*END OF SPOILER*
I’m a triangle fan so I wasn’t rooting for any of the guys (my gorgeous ones <3).
Even if I don’t count the manga (like someone who hasn’t read it) the ending of the anime is lame (the last 2 eps).I didn’t like the fact that Yuuki was so fragile and pretty much helpless and others had to protect her-again.And Zero’s excuse for Yuuki to drink his blood was ….funny and odd?So mr.Emo couldn’t confess properly (like I said:even if we don’t count the manga)? Was it so hard to say:”Hey,I always liked you and not long ago I realized that I also love you”?Yeah, I guess it was,it’s much easier to let the blood do the job :)) .
O yeah, and he needed a proof that Yuuki is a vampire = in order to have a reason to kill her because he needs a reason to live (he knows that she won’t stay by his side).
I didn’t get in the end:
-Yuuki loves Zero and goes with Kaname out of pity?Or Yuki loves them both but didn’t want to upset and lose Kaname?
Unlike in the manga she acts cooler towards Kaname (calling him ’sempai’,saying that she’s sorry etc).
It was also strange to see a Zero that only wants to kill Rido ,in order to protect Yuki.
The animation (8/10) was slightly better but I like the art quality of the first season more (7/10).Music 7/10 ,Overall 8.9/10.Story …9/10 , I won’t give a smaller grade just because the last epi sucked.
That’s all folks.:D
I can only say:poor , poor Zero .Can I sweeten your bitterness ?
