@Calaveth and tommykn: Well maybe not necessarily the “pacing” but it did certainly feel weird when the episodes were filled with fun and comedy and then all of a sudden it becomes “serious time”.

@sdfxrpl: It’s possible that they’re setting up for another season. I can’t see why they wouldn’t given how popular the series has become.

@skoll: Indeed.

@Bublifuk: Takako would be giving all the members a hard time with her teasing and possibly clash with Saki a bit. Akiba would probably keep his distance since it seems that he’s not too friendly with other otakus.

@man0warr: Yeah hopefully.

@Myssa Rei: That’s very good news. Don’t forget that the author for the manga is recovering from surgery and hopes to continue the manga which is also good news.

Poor, POOR Tsugumi. My heart goes out to you, girl.

That said, Kannagi has certainly been come of the better offerings to have come from the last season. And despite the FANBOY RAGE going about in the Japanese forums, the DVDs are actually selling well (more than 10,000 units sold at this point), which is a good indicator that a sequel might be greenlit in the future.

I was hoping the series would span a bit longer, or something; I mean they could have done more with the love story with Tsugumi and I was expecting another episode for the school thing the next day, until I saw the staff roll in the subs.

great anime!

two episodes for the ending is enough, no need to drag something out !!! pacing was nice, there was nearly nothing unnessecary.

dear tsugumi, i feel very bad for you, poor girl cried, too. =(

I must say I loved Kannagi. It has some competition, but it’s certainly one of my favorite shows of 2008. The pacing didn’t bother me – after all the build up, the tension had to go somewhere. Maybe they should have given the end a little more time than just two episodes, but I feel that’s nit picking.
