I don’t think Bobby got to hime this time…I suspect Seryl had a drinking contest and won…perhaps alcohol removes much more inhibitions in Alto-hime than we thought…

I also see that Sheryl and Alto-hime have split Miyo-sama’s clothes. Also it seems Sheryl figured her earring looked better on Alto-hime anyway.

And I have no clue why Alto’s dressed like that, or how much booze they had to put into him before Bobby got to him with the makeup kit again.

Newtype is not where one ought to go for a gauge on what’s worth watching, but yes Koreans seems to suffer the worst in Japan.

I have plenty of RAGE for episode 11, but that will be for later. As for Alto-hime’s new get up, well I have something special planned for that…oddly enough the earring says it all along with Sheryl’s borrowed kimono.

Mind you, this is the same Japan which tends to isolate people who aren’t pure Japanese (STILL); if you grew up overseas, you’re treated differently even if you are 100% Japanese as far as ethnic origins go. Chinese people get looks on occasion, and Koreans just get STARES. Hell, the easiest way to start a fight there (STILL) is to call someone a Korean. They don’t ‘accept’ as well as you think they do… or else you’re deluding yourself.

@Crusader, I believe somewhere I’ve read before that Jihad-kun was ranked #1 on the Newtype pilot list or some crap. Japan’s viewers are totally different than the elitist anime peepz of North America and more importantly the western world. People are more like that kid from Chaos Head. Anyone who’s visited Japan can automatically tell you their culture would welcome people like Jihad-kun, Saji, and Poverty Princess. Maybe not love, but definitely accept. It’s really hard for me to explain, it’s more like a gut feeling. If anything, just visit Disneyland in Japan and that should tell you everything.

But, as far as I can see, Jihad-kun is like the new pro wrestling baby faces, who lose like every fight until Gundamania XXV where the title is on the line and he magically whoops the other guy. See, back then, when wrestling was “real” you had guys who’d just RAPE the heel, kinda like how Seed had Kira Yamato go RAWR and people shat their pants.

Not that those kills were ace pilots too, anyway. They were glorified grunts at best. Chris was just a test pilot who won because her suit was vastly superior to the enemy. Your point still stands, however.

You’d be right, but considering how much airtime the losers like Jihad-kun, Princess Poverty, and Saji get it felt like gouging my eyes more often in Gundam 00 than Macross Frontier. So very sad that Bob did not show up last time…

Sheryl proved herself worthy of my Alto-hime’s hand where as Ranka kept letting Brera heap abuse upon my Alto-hime, this to me is unforgivable.

Yeah I hope in the Movie we will get a more tolerable Ranka, like we did with Minmei. It’s just impossible to forgive her for mistreating my Alto-hime like that. I never wanted to hate her but by the end Ranka never showed much love for my Alto-hime by letting Brera beat hime up and then run off with some one else.

Yeah it seems that Kawamori is keen on letting hime keep Sheryl’s earring, not to mention hime is letting Sheryl go through the Saotome wardrobe. Still I like how Sheryl did hime’s hair.

Like Haesslich said I wanted Ranka to do something other than be a damsel in distress, as a part of the triangle she was the weakest because she got waylaid by Brera…sad thing is she treated Brera better than she treated my Alto-hime. Please understand this blog had up until now never felt such disappointment in a green haired loli, we loved her right up until she put herself before everyone else. Suffice to say Ranka gives green haired lolis a bad rep, may the movie change things, but I had very high hopes for Ranka, and I feel very much betrayed.

Ranka’s association with Brera was almost as insipid as the one Minmei had with Kaifun only Ranka never told Brera off, and she even let him beat up Alto-hime on more than one occasion. Her passivity remained almost constant and total through out and when she finally did do something for the better, she got kicked to the curb for Battle Frontier, and got a recycle shot for her dance number. Overall she was a disappointment since even Minmei was more proactive in after the money was gone. By the end even the qualities I liked about her at the start became insipid once she just sat there doing nothing.

But she was a huge disappointment as far as being the second arm of the love triangle… among other things.

it just sucks when you get high expectations only to see it all blow up in your face.

And that’s why you try not to make them they almost never come out the way you want them.

But geez, crush pile on Ranka much? I can’t abide some of the stuff she does either, but I don’t think she deserves that much rage. What did you want her to do?
