So much love for Takako. Especially her dancing along to the song, which made me think of her being the dance coach in the OP. Nice touch there. Moar Takako please!

Nagi singing a CM song was particularly hilarious too, since me and my mates actually spontaneously sing silly ad jingles together sometimes. It’s a shame none of the karaoke places we’ve been to have ad jingles…

Shokkeru: I know a lot of folks who might have preferred Seikan Hikou actually.

On other news, it looks like we’re going back to the plot somewhat next week. Which could be jarring given the hijinks we’ve seen so far.

Also, this means we won’t see Nagi and Zange’s cosplay at the con.

Shokkeru: If I remember right, the song Takako sang in the manga was actually “Seikan Hikou” from Macross Frontier. Yeah, changed in the adaptation for copyright reasons.

And Shino is apparently only *squinting* in the manga.

I think Takako insists that Akiba sing animu songs because she’s enamored with anime stereotype, from the otaku, to all the various derivatives of moe.

And my expression largely mirrored Jin/Akiba’s on her performance.

Yes, I was also thinking that Nagi’s outfit totally went along with her song while she was singing this. Oh man this episode was fun, obviously with Takako’s surprise performance and the sheer blunt to-your-face Nagi bean song.

Can’t get enough of that ED song…

I personally think that Akiba was supposed to live up to his reputation of being a typical otaku who likes to sing but cannot sing for nuts. I bet she thought that Akiba will be singing some typical fanservice anime song that all horny guys would like. Hah hah.

@Soso: I am just a bit sympathetic to Jin because Daitetsu is just so good at everything he does.

@crusader: Cosplay Takako is very good stuff for sure!
