Those dirty Thebans! How dare their leader, Epaminondas, use superior strategic and tactical insight to defeat the uncreative Spartans!

I think it's high time that Alexander the Great taught them a lesson, yup-yup.

@Myssa Rei
Well at the very least we know who everyone is...In LOGH it was fully justified though I wonder how big this cast is going to inflate. Perhaps its because we leave people behind from time to time, except Lydia she always gets a cameo.

@Zentari
I recall hearing it mentioned on the History channel when they had a week dedicated to the Spartans. They said that during Roman Times Sparta was a shadow of its former glory but that did not stop the Romans from visiting to admire their quaint ways. Sparta soldiered on after the Thebans beat them, but never again would they be a great power. It was not a ruined city during Roman Times, that much is certain.

@Crusader: I'm Greek and while what you say might be true (Sparta did decay a lot, what did you expect from a city state that is depends absolutely on slaves to keep it's infrastructure up ? ) it wasn't a tourist attraction ; it is now, but then again, what isn't ?

It's funny to note that, this early in the show, we're seeing the abuse of character name tags, as if we'd forget who the characters were (if not for the obvious fact that, y'know, we saw them last episode). I think in LoGH, it took a while before that even happened, and even then it was a necessity, seeing the cast inflation of the latter chapters.

Indeed you Spartans ended up with such a small population that by Roman times Sparta became a tourist attraction for many Romans who wanted to witness your quaint ways and habits.

@Wargamer234
Indeed it is a great game.

@Ratwedge
Yeah even if he is a lazy lout Fan has a better grasp of what it means to rebel than most 'rebels' in anime. Still if he is to be the next Han Solo, he better shoot first. ;)

@elvadrieng
Well it certainly is different as there is no righteousness here, just some shady real motivations that prompt characters to do things. If nothing else there is not Trans-AM only adept maneuvering and flanking.

@lubczyk
Correction only CB and Kataron make emotion based decisions, do not lump the A-Laws and Feddies with those rebel losers. 00bama is much more intelligent than Jihad-kun.

@SoSo/Karin
It's time to accept the fact that Sparta is no more and that those Thebans won out in the end.

@Zentari
Hopefully Ariabart will redeem himself after his last failure, otherwise Ajman might be setting him up the bomb.

@ghostlightning
The Four Dukes represent aspects of Tytania's rule but it seems that Jouslain is the most capable of striking a better balance. With Jouslain it seems that the Tyrandians will not have teh moral high ground as they not only killed the Duchess, but also tried to take Jouslain hostage without provocation. Right now it seems that Ajman is giving more important jobs to Blue and Red while Green and Brown don't get anything.

Laetitia is dead, and at least she died for her beliefs that the war faction was going to bring ruin to them all. Perhaps that was why the late Duke made her his heir.

Very good ep IMO. After this episode we have a much broader view of the character and behavior of Tytania and its rule. I don't believe that there is one Tytania characteristic though. Zalisch's and Idris' behavior is as much Tytania as Jouslain's. And all three idealize Tytania in their own way.

It's also interesting how Ariabart gets his command so soon. The others keep getting non-combat work and Ariabart gets to be the warrior. I'm actually glad that he gets a chance to vindicate himself. I'm rooting for this guy.

Yes, Laetitia is a dead ringer for Sheryl Nome. NOT SURE IF WANT.
