What kind of mascot should THAT have? We need your help!
Thanks to Mellow Bunny, THAT will soon have a new spanking professional blog design that will be hopefully completed by the end of the year (just in time for the winter season). This was the conversation that went on after he agreed to design the blog for us.

Due to our stumped discussion, we need your creativity to describe the type of mascot THAT should have. If I have my way (according to Crusader), I will make it a green haired loli which makes it kind of ordinary and boring. Hence, I prefer to borrow your brains to decide. Thanks!

Impz is quoting out of context to be a drama queen again, so to set the record straight Ranka is Shin’s waifu former waifu who parted after a bitter divorce and as such it would not be in our best interests to go and try and accept Ranka. While I am sure the jealous Malaysian commando is no threat to me, Shin’s proximity to Impz coupled with Impz’s lackluster combat prowess well… In any case I motion for something unique and mecha.

I’m sure you would all love something MOE and AWESOME and EXCITING, and if Crusader is to have his way, MECHANICAL. But dear sirs and madams, I beg you to listen to my plea. Impz plans on making me draw this mascot. ME! I suck at drawing, I don’t know where Impz got the idea that I can draw anything you guys can come up with. I can’t. I can probably draw a quadrilateral. Or a circle, if you give me a compass.
So, I implore you, ladies and gentlemen, to choose this: O. That’s right. A circle. The mascot of T.H.A.T. is to be a simple, rounded circle.
Failing that, I could draw Mahou Shoujo Impz with his magical staff Raising Rake.

Mecha Musume for each member (this way Ranka sneaks back in, Crusader gets Sheryl… or Alto whichever is really preferred, moe lolis for the rest if that’s how they like it), then they all GATTAI into KLAN MUSUME with BATTLE GALAXY as the frame.

First thing to spring to mind is “a trap” (of course) but I guess green-haired lolis have played a significant enough part in this blog’s existence to become an official mascot.
@Crusader: What was the manga Extrange mentioned in his introduction post? Battle Angel Alita? There’s a mecha musume for ya, now all you need is to dye her hair green.
Mecha musume is a great idea that easily segues between what Impz wants and what Crusader wants. The question is, will Lupus get it RIGHT?

IDK, green haired trap loli seems unique, and it’s kind of already the mascot. Now it just needs a name – how about this: so that Lupus doesn’t have to draw anything, we just take a picture of Impz and photoshop his hair green? He can be the mascot! (I wonder if Impz’s hair is green in RL…)
how about a compromise? I propose a Green haired trap ,not loli, with a mechanical arm riding a motorcycle, or perhaps standing next to a military vehicle.

Are you kidding me? I have always thought THAT’s mascot has always been no other than IMPZ yourself.
Why go with anything else when the icon of THAT already has such effect?
My brain? Are you sure? Oook… I think that must to be a……. green hair, Loli, nekomimi, secret militar robot with a multibarrel machinegun and a chainsaw katana. Also it must to wear a full combat-maid cosplay. Imagine Rompomatsu of Exel Saga or Koboshi of Let’s Meow Meow! but with cool guns. Cute and genocide like the Eupheminator. I think that a mix of cute and cool is the ultimate.

Perhaps a green-haired loli (possibly trap) riding a mecha, that is possibly the form of an artillery piece that walks like a man. A “cannon” that is a “gun”, we could say.

If we have to go mecha, I’d say we combine the mecha with the green haired loli trap…hmm, this sounds like some familiar anime that flopped…

Also, it should be easy to draw!
In my humble opinion, it should be at least a little cute with one or more mechanical weapons (read: weapons that grow and form themselves but are metal and explosive? or bladed.), obviously green hair and a uniform. Keep the mascot as simple as possible.. that allows you to dress her up for different occasions such as xmas, easter and mellow_bunny day (March 5th).
Something like the Dango might be a good idea (didn’t someone make a drawing of THAT as Dango’s before?) Going off of mellow’s idea of dressing it up, if it’s something as plain and anonymous as a Dango, we could also “personalize” the mascot for specific bloggers. For example, (let’s use the Dango as an example for simplicity) you can dress the Dango up for Xmas, Halloween, mellow_bunny day, etc with relative ease. You can also dress it up to a specific blogger’s taste such as Crusader’s would have gun or something like that. Anyways that’s just my opinion on that.
I guess most of you mother fuckers didn’t read or understand what I wrote.
I hate all of you so much.
(Having said that, I love DKellis’ idea. Maybe I’ll go with that.)

Ok, some thing a little more in realm of the possible.
1 – A big dango family with one member representing every blogger. Ie. vampir-dango, mecha-dango, loli-dango, lupus-dango, etc… It sounds more like an avatar is in it?
2 – A T-1000 Dango that look cute but can metamorph in to a blade capable of slash cars in two halfs.

well, I like Shokkeru’s idea. It’d be interesting to see each Danco personalized by each blogger’s personality, and he/she is free to change them in any occation they want, or Danco cosplays series they’re blogging, lol. (though that’ll be more work for Lupus)

Well it doesn’t have to be a freakin’ Dango. I was just using it as an example. It could be similar to something like maybe that cat head thingy from Lucky Star or that “Metapod” from Hidamari Sketch.
That “metapod”, as you call it, is the avatar of Aoki Ume, the mangaka of Hidamari Sketch. She voices it too.

I hope you did not arrive at that conjecture solely from me modifying the blog’s theme ;P But yes, I admit to being a weak willed male, but I am not an unfaithful one. Well considering polygamy is legal in Malaysia, I see no harm in having another waifu or two, har har.
That aside, I agree with some of posters above that that mascot should be based on Impz, an original design that has green hair and all that, with whatever fanservice elements you can come up with. Hopefully once the final design is ready, you guys would put up a poll or something.
