@Blist: Ya, it’s quite sad at the start because it is clear that Ren is already falling in love with Kyoko (with Kyoko oblivious as usual) but she is still fixated with Dicktaro. Even worse, she always get riled up so easily by the mere mention of his name, which can be seen as contempt but also the fact that Dicktaro is still very deep in her life.

@Twilight: Ya, this is in fact just an average sparkle. I cannot wait for him to go into full sparkle mode. I really hope that they will do it well. From what I heard from gf, Chihiro picked this up.

Go Kyoko! You’re amazing!
Really, she’s so strong too. I mean, after basically devoting her whole life to a guy only to find out he was totally using her, she stayed strong and even decided to go as far as taking revenge on him. I wouldn’t have been surprised if it was like the usual shoujo who would break down and cry.
And I agree with you about Ren’s cool remarks. He was actually being pretty nice about it, but that’s the kind of gentleman he is.
@ Impz and L-chan: Actually, rereading that part of the manga, this is not one of his majorly sparkling sarcastic smile moments, so I’m sure they will emphasize that more in another episode. I can’t wait for that dazzling smile!
And despite being licensed, there are some groups who are still planning to sub this and someone on youtube doing so too… so we’ll see what happens.

Finally many nice characters show up! Ren and Moko-chan is love <3
I feel sorry for Ren though. He’s nice (hmm, ok, very nice) guy but everything Kyoko does in her life up until now is still always about Shoutaro = = Hope she’ll forget him and live her life for her own sake soon - becoming a No.1 star!!

@L-chan: I can’t wait for him to make those extremely sarcastic sparkling smiles. They better make sure he sparkles as hard as possible because that to me is a key feature of Ren that has to be kept in. I think that being a hard ass is part of Ren too when someone does not take acting seriously.

Ya, I felt that it could have been better. A more serious feel with silence might make it more deathly than the effect they did.

@Elva: Why do you hate Ren so much? EXPLAIN NOW!

@Kreb: No no, she is still watching it. The issue is that she does not like it as much as I do. She does not read the manga, and she is pretty ambivalent with the below-par animation for the series *which i cannot deny*. In general, she does not really like any of the characters right now.

In fact, we had a massive discussion about how she felt that Kyoko is way too obsessed with Dicktaro, and she does not like that plot. She finds that Kyoko cannot let go, and I told her that it’s meant to be so. She doesn’t like it that way.

@Kreb: Oh, strangely enough, 13sugars doesn’t like Skip Beat too much. She seems to dislike the fact that Kyoko-sama is still obsessed over Shotaro despite breaking up with him. That, I explain, is part of the plot to show Kyoko’s progression from being obsessed for revenge to truly be an actress in her own right.

@Machi: Oh, I didn’t know that it is licensed. No matter there are no subs. ^^

Eh, I don’t think he’s particularly “less cool” in the anime, it’s just at this point he’s only portrayed as a hard-ass, we haven’t gotten to his really cool moments.

Although I do think his “glare of death” scene was a little underdone.

Don’t think that people know much that the anime is licensed (actually pre-licensed). But it does pose a problem for groups that will plan to pick this up. ALAS even Kyouko’s anime debut is off to a rough road much like the heroine!

@Kreb: Why does your comment about radish remind of this show about another show. Never mind that, I think the radish should be happy that it can be touched by the great kyoko-sama.

@Lucky: Well, the thing about Kyoko is that she is not likely to take lessons from someone who is less passionate than her. She is one who trusts almost everyone easily, but will lose trust in you if you show that you do not really care about what you do.

Moreover, Kyoko is perhaps the most straightforward and honest person you will never meet. It’s obviously a double-edged sword that gets her into trouble many times, but at least you know she does not lie at all. She admits what she does not know, she tries to ask to know how to do it. That is the sign of a person willing to learn, and eventually ready to excel. It’s mere stupidity for anyone to think they know everything when they do not.

Yes, Ren is definitely the one. In fact, I will say that only a warm yet omnipotent actor like Ren can bring up Kyoko spiritually, mentally and emotionally. That’s how far I will go.

haha i am so happy mooar girl power!!! i have to said it but she is gar, she has the guts to work with what she has, instead of pretending to have what she don’t, i can’t wait to see more of ren and her, if some body has actually help kyoko to grow as a person it’s him and to the lights of today continue to do so!!! >:)
