[...] Macross Frontier 25 (END): Were it so easy… As epic as the ending itself, a lot of flash and torrid writing. I thoroughly enjoyed how we reclaimed the show from the shippers who were the loudest demographic of those who watched it. The said shippers were/are whining at the alleged lack of resolution of the love triangle which to them was the main draw of the show. [...]

D.J cried tears of pure unadulterated joy at all the awesome sauce on screen.

Shiny pretty mecha's with weapons a blazing!

Alto channeling his inner Sakura-Hime was glorious.

Sheryl was absolute utter WIN SAUCE!

There was a beautiful tribute to my dear beloved Michel-kun. (sniff)

We were promised a celebration of Macross and they certainly delivered on their promise!

Crusader, I'm glad you agree that Ranka's slap was out of reason. People think that she had to slap Sheryl as a return for Sheryl slapping her way back then. But let's analyze the circumstances of both slaps.

Sheryl's slap given to Ranka:
1. Was given to a girl who refuses to sing for the sake of other people because she saw her crush hugging someone else.
2. Was given to a girl <b>who wants to die</b> because she saw her crush hugging someone else.
3. Was given as a wake-up call to a girl to become mature and professional.
4. Was given to a girl who refused to be consoled by words, hence the slap was a wake-up call.

Ranka's slap given to Sheryl:
1. Was given to a girl who wants to give up because there are so many people dying around her even with all her efforts.
2. Was given to a girl who is to the brink of dying (against her wishes).
3. Was given as a wake-up call to remind a dying person that she just said before that she'll never give up.
4. Was given to a girl who would most likely be consoled by the words, "I can cure you and give you power to protect everyone".

That slap given by Ranka was generally uncalled for. Given Sheryl's attitude, she wouldn't have even dared to say "I'm giving up", if she wasn't weak, dying, and has given her all in the first place, only to see people on her side get killed! It seems to me that Ranka delayed giving the cure to Sheryl just to have a reason to slap her. Although if I were in the shoes of both girls, I wouldn't throw a slap at all, regardless of the situation :\

I can't believe I posted my first "I hate Ranka for doing that" post. She's always been so-so for me. Sheryl, regardless of winning the love triangle or not, I'm with you all the way (to the movie)!

Forgive me for asking but what do people mean by shippers??

Were can I read that Lynn Kaifun is in Macross 11??

The series left a lot of open questions but I want to know more what it changed from UN SPACY to NEW UN SPACY.

Why was the VF-171 put into mass production rather than VF-19 (I know why Mr. Kawamori didnt incluse the VF-19 but I want to know the Macross version, they should of kept the good ol VF-11 Thunderbolt ;) )

I wonder what will be the name of the new colonized planet and how the city will be.

> the Vajra decide to go for the one constant between them: Alto-hime.

Oh yea, I forgot about the Little Hime with his Fold earring. Now the Vajra are *really* confused. :)

On the other hand, I think Brera's concert will only find success with the Yaoi or the incest crowd. In another word, Bobby and Ai-kun will be there.

@Di Gi Kazune
I've been thinking though, if Alto-hime and Sheryl-oujo have kids (twins in your scenario) won't those kids not only have the V-type infection in their stomachs, but they'll have the Alto's (and Miyo-sama's) looks and Mayan priestess blood as well. Wouldn't this make any children of theirs possibly the most DECULTURE kids in the galaxy, able to break unknown alien races at the flutter of a folding fan.

@skoll

I kinda agree with Crusader about the love triangle. From all the development shown in these last episodes, Alto pretty much chose Sheryl in the end. But Kawamori/Alto, being the cool guys they are, didn’t want to give whoever the loser was the shaft everyone was predicting (epic dump/death). In the tradition of the original Macross and DYRL?, Kawamori made it so that things were relatively okay between the three of them when the dust settled. And after what they went through throughout the series, this was probably the best way to end things. Kawamori teases us just a little to keep the whole thing open ended, leaving room for something else if he decides to come back for another round.

Kawamori may be a great troll, but he’s not an ass when it comes to relationships.

@Crusader

Looks like hardcore Robotech fans are severely nitpicking the series. I would’ve taken them seriously if not for four simple words, “Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles.”

Yeah, like they can do better.

@bakaneko
With all the confusion between Sheryl-oujo and Ranka-oujo, the Vajra decide to go for the one constant between them: Alto-hime. As such, our Hime-sama's special one night only performance of Sakura-hime breaks records for the having the largest non-human/zentran audience in galactic history. Reports from Macross 7 fleet indicate that Basara-sama is jealous enough that he's planning a special comeback Fire Bomber concert just to try to top it.

@Di Gi Kazune
Howabout option <b>4)</b> for our hime-sama: <strike>s</strike>he goes on to found a new school of aerial-kabuki (<i>YAKK, DECULTURE!!!</i>) and is currently entertaining human/zentran and vajra alike.
