This week’s episode is very interesting. Very. Interesting. And I’m serious about it.

So far there aren’t as much comedic part as the previous episodes, I think it’s one of the best we’ve seen so far. Probably one of the most intriguing episodes in the series before it ends next week (I really wish that it’ll continue soon to explain certain plot holes, and the game will be coming out in Japan tomorrow.). Sob! Though the trailer of World Destruction tricked us all, I still think that this is better than Vampire Knight (Anime series), in both animation and content. Furthermore, it’s more light-hearted but I won’t explain further before I wrap everything up in the last post of World Destruction. I’ll try not to be funny in this week’s post, but the beginning (And Toppi’s dream) was hilarious (I can’t help it.)

As we left off from the previous episode when Dr. Alligator took the Destruct Code away from our destroyers (And Naja acting hero to rescue his helpless Ri A, which we won’t be seeing in this episode), the World Destruction Committee are stuck in the snow valley to fend themselves to find a way out. Snowfall got our destroyers into a problem, Kirie and Morte having a hard time finding Toppi. They found Toppi, but he was mumbling nonsense about beating Morte up in a village in his sleep. Morte, who was in a psychopathic fury rage threw him into somewhere and ended up finding a cave.

So they entered the cave as the only way out of the chilly valley, but unfortunately they didn’t realize that they are about to see their own pasts (Only their own pasts, and just theirs). Morte goes first, then Kirie and lastly Toppi (Which will include bear bashing, cheers of the Chibi Bear Heroes Guild and fantasies of becoming a true hero.) and while exploring the cave, Kirie accidentally tripped and screams like a sissy saw countless corpses lying around the cave.

Big. Fat. Liar.

While I get into their pasts later, we’ll being dragged into the mechanical town (Again) with Eagleman and Dr. Alligator discussing about the World Destruction Committee and the Destruct Code. He lied about the Destruct Code, keeping it a secret to the Eagleman and decides to keep it for his own personal selfish use. He guaranteed that the World Destruction Committee (And ‘Destruct Code’) will die in the Valley. So arguing about the Destruct Code, Dr. Alligator manages to kick Eagleman out of the way and get the powers of the Destruct Code and keep it to himself.

And now the serious parts (I’ll be dividing to different arcs):

Morte: (Prepare for a very sad and long background from Morte)

She first saw the graveyard (Seen in the opening where Morte was walking to Kirie) with her past self crying at the death of her younger brother, Reiben. She doesn’t believe what she saw and runs away on her own, leaving Kirie and Toppi (Who are not in their pasts yet) behind. Next, she saw her hut, still mournful on Reiben’s death and the Destruct Code was passed on to her by someone from her village. As it was the only thing left behind by her brother, she accepts the orb. She was revisited into the temple again and met a person from the Golden Lions (In the official website of the game, that guy looked wayyyy younger before but I’m not sure if he was the same guy in the website when you click on the ‘Characters’ button.) and asked if she knew about the rumors of the Destruct Code. She didn’t disclose the whereabouts of the Destruct Code to that squad member. She was shifted to another scene before Reiben was killed in the explosion, talking happily about school and Reiben’s decision of joining the Golden Lions to rebel against the beastmen. She initially rejects the decision and shocked to hear that, until the real Morte comes in with the time stop in that scene, calling her brother not to join the Golden Lions (And notice the drastic change of personality from the previous episodes.)

Going back further into the past, she saw humans carrying pails of water to water the trees in a dreaded hot place and revealed that her family was living in a beastmen-ruled environment and were often too poor to get three square meals. Her father was taken away by beastmen soldiers, her mother died of an illness, leaving Morte and Reiben to carry on with their lives. Seeing her parents died, she becomes emo, cries when the scene takes place as she mumbled to herself to tell time to stop. This could be the reason why she desperately wants to destroy the world using the Destruct Code after Reiben’s death, until she met Kirie and Toppi…

As she was drove into madness at looking at her parents died, she was taken to a scene where her parents and Reiben are still alive, having a feast together. So she happily have dinner with her family together (And probably what Morte has wished for, a happy family.) So while Kirie and Toppi finds her, she was still stuck in the illusions of the image of a happy family, laughing and enjoying non-stop. She then soon realize that it was a dream after all when Kirie and Toppi are calling out for her as she gets conscious. Her parents and Reiben drifted away from her and the dream ends this way. Take pity for the girl…

Kirie:

Lots of plot holes for this one and there are more questions than answers in his past. He saw his past self, wearing the fake cat ears who finally found a job in a restaurant (Which is the same restaurant in the very first episode.) after jumping for joy as he got hold on the notice being pasted outside. His past self went into the restaurant, asked for a job in the restaurant and was being interviewed by the chef we saw in the restaurant in the first episode. And Kirie’s best dish: Sand-whale. (Don’t even have to ask). So hearing himself in the past listening to endless lectures by his then-boss, Kirie shifted into another scene where he saw Reiben and Agan talking among themselves (But he wasn’t in that scene and he didn’t even know Agan until he saved our destroyers by pirates in Episode 2, hmm). But all was lost when the World Salvation Committee attacked the resistance team with an army of soldiers (Led by Dr. Alligator) but while looking at Reiben fanning the fire away from the gunpower barrels, everything came too late when an explosion occurred and Kirie was unable to stop Reiben from being killed. Right after the explosion, he saw himself (Except that his hair is peach instead of blond), lying down on the ground with the Destruct Code stopping right beside him. Before finding more answers, Toppi, who was awoken from his sleep woke him up before going further into the cave to save Morte.

Toppi:

There are more comedic parts than serious ones in Toppi’s past. He was being dragged to his village before wearing his eye patch (and younger, before his personality gets haywire by Morte’s act of evilness), who dream of being a hero one day. He was seen lying down on a grassy hill until a younger Yappi (Go to Episode 5) calling out for him. He, Yappi and his other two Chibi Bear friends cheered themselves into becoming heroes. Sitting close to them were a group of Chibi bears (Female) and were jeering at their ideas of becoming heroes. Trying to act gentlemen on the pink bear (Who was also shown in the official website in the ‘Characters’ section and Toppi acting gentlemen, uh oh.), the bear punches Toppi and blast him off the space. Toppi woke up just after that scene with a large stone in his head. (I almost choked on my dinner when I watched Toppi being punched away to the depths in space.) Yeah, beg more on that beautiful bear lady, wait till the world is destroyed…

Let’s go back to where Dr. Alligator is at and after complaining that the power of the Destruct Code was weak, checking if it’s going to be true by using his machine. (Has it been fixed by Ri A’s attacks?) The reactions spins faster as Kirie is more determined to stop Reiben from being killed in the fire in the dream and it came to the point where the Destruct Code reacts to the machine at it’s most powerful. Images starts to pour into the screen before it explodes (Back in Kirie’s dream) and found out there’s…2 DESTRUCT CODES? One is already enough, and still make more, so we don’t know if the one Morte is carrying is a fake or not. So to get to the bottom of this, Toppi woke Kirie up and explains to him on the origins of the cave, getting Morte out at the same time. The cave lets one allow to see illusions of the past and Kirie was left to wonder why he gets to see the illusion even though he didn’t get to see Reiben or the ship before.

And the Destruct Code goes BOOOOMMMMMMM!!!

Kirie defends Morte from invasion of rocks and Toppi gets them out of danger while escaping from the crumbling cave. All were rescued in the end but the World Salvation Committee arrives for the Destruct Code…

Next episode

I don’t want it to end!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fuck you, Sega, there are still too many plot holes left unexplained in the story and is this how you end it? I don’t want to do Vampire Knight Guilty, knowing that it will suck like the first season, my TOPPII!!!!

Nothing much is revealed in the preview; most of them were flashbacks of the previous episodes. Except for the Destruct Code floating in the sky and green sparkles from nowhere, I think they would reveal something serious (And somehow exciting) for us. They will surprise us, kill us and tie us up into the sea if the preview is lying to us. Let’s just admit that the trailer before showing us the first episode tricked us, but I would trust this preview. The game will be out tomorrow in Japan, so if you are the impatient type who wants to get your hands on the game first, buy it online (If you have money and sadly, I’m the impatient type but since I’ve spent all my money on food, kuma~). I hope the game doesn’t trick us like in the anime itself, and I don’t want to anime series to end!!!!!!! (I have to much fun writing the series, if you’re wondering.)
