ARIA☆Wahaー2 - Non-H ARIA doujin by Churuya author

I was planning on writing a semi-big rant here about how hard translating and type-setting is, about how much my Japanese improved through scanlating this etc. etc., but now I don’t feel like it anymore. Just have the doujin.

Media Fire
Rapidshare

95% translated from Chinese (Chinese translation courtesy of these guys), 4% translated from Japanese, 1% guesslated, and liberal amount of re-writing when I just couldn’t squeeze the damn Chinese into an understandable English sentence.

Special thanks to Nekosasu, who solved the biggest problem I had in translating this doujin and so allowed me to sleep soundly, and Astrobunny, who was just generally helpful in translation. Can’t forget RunningKid (a.k.a. ScapeKid), who helped me QC and proof-read. If you find any mistakes, blame him! Sorry I didn’t credit you guys in the scanlation itself…
Oh, and of course, Eretto himself, artist of the Utsura Uraraka circle. He’s probably best known in the English community as the guy who drew the Churuya comics, but I’m a huge fan of his work in general. Check him out, and if you can, buy his stuff!

Finally, have my tsundere credit page.

P.S. Since I don’t have any other channel for distribution, I hereby implore that anyone who liked this doujin to spread the word on their own website. The more people that know about it the better! Basically, a license to freely re-post this where-ever you like, even without credit. Link directly to RS and MF! Edit the images and take out my credit! Take credit for the work yourself! Ok, don’t do that last one, but if you were going to do it, me telling you to stop wouldn’t have changed anything.

Basically, I just really want more people to know about Eretto and the work he does, other than the Churuya-san comics. So please help me spread the word!

Huh, never knew he did an Aria doujin. Aria <3

Zeroblade: I think he’s done 3 ARIA doujins. There’s ARIA Waha 1 and 2, and another one called “ARYA?” where he inserted an original character into the world of ARIA.

…Question: where in the Aria continuity does this take place? (i.e. during or in between which of the seasons? Or before or after the OVA or whatever?) ‘Cause I still haven’t finished Aria the Animation, and I don’t want to read this until I get past the point in time in which it takes place for fear of spoilers.

Also, was there a scanlation of the first of his Aria doujinshi?

EDIT: And it’s just kind of a pet peeve of mine, but I get slightly irritated when I see people using the word “doujin” in place of “doujinshi” (even though I myself used to do that before I found out that they do refer to separate things. XD).

Cat: I have no idea, I’m not a fan of ARIA. This is after Alicia retired, so I’m guessing towards the end of the series.

If I’m not mistaken, doujin refers to fan-works in general, and doujinshi refers specifically to comics or books made by fans. Therefore you can have doujin music and doujin games. Since doujin is used widely in English to refer to doujinshi, I followed that convention and used doujin here.

I actually thought about that for a little bit, but I ended up using doujin because, even in it’s more specific meaning, it’s not technically incorrect.
