Neo, the second manga, was based on SHAFT's version of the Negima, not the other way around, so the anime is entirely their fault. Although admitting it can't be expected for everyone to know everything... that being said i checked wiki first and i'm 100% certain that Maho Sensei Negima! came out as a manga first, not anime... aparently the first anime series changed a lot of content so thats why its different (much like FMA) the other, Negima!? anime is a different story/doesn't follow the orginal manga, the manga Negima!? neo, is by another artist (under the guidance of Ken Akamatsu) follows after the Negima!? anime. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negima!%3F i don’t understand why there is so much confusion on what came first?
