You missed the Genshiken reference!!

Any idea though what Haruka's maido was supposed to dress up as? (the guy who handed her the dojinshi she was looking for).

Comiket is really serious business.

Funny thing here is that they reflected the actual rules of Comiket really well. And the fact that most of the Otaku there don't give a rat's ass about them.

@Calawain

Also Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de (aka They Are My Noble Masters) used a lot of anime references, as much as I enjoy the self-referencing I think this year there are too many shows that are relying on that for laughs instead of original content. Though one can wonder what "original content" is anymore since it seems everything has already been done before.

The anime references they do seem fairly limited, and to a degree I would agree with you that the number of shows that should be doing that is limited. It's easy to get tired of the self-referencing. You can also add Hayate no Gotoku to that list.

@LDC

My apoligies, I will take it seriously and take the first train!

@Vin-nii

They had a Shana doujin right in the middle there too, before the Inukami porn.

@Tenser

By far the best ED of this season ^_^

Harem cliches dodged~! I just love how much (Otaku references aside) the main characters (ESPECIALLY Yuuto) avoid the standard harem cliches, and stick with the lovecom.

This show is great. Even if it wasn't I'd still watch it just for the ED.

>>Porn, and lots and lots of music apparently. I mean TT has been flooded with piles of this crap, half of it Touhou it seems, and I find it mildly irritating.

Don't make me hate you. Comiket is not to be taken lightly.

Man, you can already tell from the Opening that Shiina is going to make a play for Yuuto but Yuuto and Haruka are destined to be together.

What I like about this series is that the character make progress (slowly but there's still progress) unlike other series with romantic content like Zero no Tsukaima and Macross Frontier (which at this point is irritating me. 20 episodes in and you STILL can't make a decision? WTF?).

I loved Nobunaga's dire warning in this episode "YOU MUST'NT TAKE COMIKET LIGHTLY!". His reaction on meeting Yuuto at the Comiket was also a high point of the episode for me.

It's weird to see such a light-hearted and warm romantic comedy end an episode on such a serious note with Haruka crying on Yuuto's doorstep. I definitely wasn't prepared for that but this series has also had it's dramatic moments which serve to bring the characters closer together. I'm just a little anxious to see how this "cliffhanger" will be resolved next episode.

As much as I enjoy spotting the little anime references in an episode here and there, I have to say after watching two seasons of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Lucky Star I'm getting a bit burned out on that gimmick. I hope they continue to use it sparingly and not make the focus of the episode one anime parody after another. Once it's funny, twice it's amusing by the third time it just gets predictable and trite.

Not much else to say other than this is still the best series of this season so far for me. I can't wait to see the next episode based on the title alone it promises to be exciting and entertaining.
