Haha, yeah, that’s kind of funny. I wasn’t paying attention and then I usually take ’slife at face value, thinking it’s going to be linear. The dating of each episode makes it more interesting then.

lelangir: How could you NOT know it wasn’t in Chronological order given that they say the date at the start of the story or episode? Going from September to May and then to Christmas is kind of a clue… especially since High School lasts only three years, and with the number of episodes they’ve had and the dates they’ve jumped around, they’d have run out of months of high school by now.

Oh I didn’t know it wasn’t in chronological order. That makes more sense, since I just thought some the time between some episodes was larger rather than the latter being before the former or whatever.

Yeah, I didn’t even pay attention to the school festival thing – I thught it was a “second” or new school festival, although now that I think about it they did do a good job of piecing in that “missing” information.

lelangir: It’s more that you have to remember that this show doesn’t take place in a linear fashion… which means they can revisit things at will. Like, in this case, the school festival which provided everyone with so much amusement last season, especially with Miyako making Yuno the subject of her piece. Which, as you’ll recall, she (Miyako) said she was making good progress with here, and Yuno was polite enough not to ask what it was about. To her later embarassment.

Hidamari is awesome. I’m impressed that you decided to pick it up as its random nature tends to be hard to blog.

I’m currently watching both seasons at once (bits of first season here and there when I have the time). The second season hasn’t changed much from the first and because of that I find myself forgetting which stories came from which season. Not sure if that would happen to anyone or if I’m just losing my mind. @_@

This does seem to be the first half of the story which was told in the first season of Hidamari Sketch: episode 10, IIRC, which featured the school festival. And Yuno depriving herself of sleep here to finish her work led to her acclaimed masterpiece in Episode 10; the sketch of the class hard at work, but missing herself (as she’d fallen asleep before getting to that part).

I love Miyako’s casual approach to life, though. That, and the bath fanservice. But one day, Yuno will be mai waifu…
