I know it’s a cartoon, but I have to object to one thing, and it is the same objection I have from the original Macross Roy Folker death. If your cockpit got damaged enough for shots to enter and hurt you, how the F%$( do you get out of your cockpit, change from space suit to uniform (or civilian cloths) and not bleed all over the place until hours later?

The first time I watched the Roy Folker death as a kid I didn’t understand it, and the Ozma injury makes even less sense. I’ve never had the pleasure of being shot by a bullet, or what ever the Vajra use as bullets, but I have a sneaking suspension that they cause immediate problems, not injury hours later.

Halcyon: You do realize that several episodes of this show qualify as ‘long music videos’, right? Episode 7 was but one example. As for that… they can only show Vajra being taken apart so many ways before it’s recycled footage, so they instead cut to Ozma’s apparent death scene.

I didn’t like this episode. It had way too many insert songs. It felt like a really, really long music video.

It also felt really rushed. They went from the middle of a fight with the Vajra to Ranka’s concert. WTF@that?

The only good thing about this episode is that we get to learn a little more about why Ranka is needed and we get to see LoliKlein pouting and blushing.

Other than that, it was pretty much a throw away episode, imo.

I have to admit, my heart skipped a beat when I saw Ozma almost menstruating himself to death. Damn you Kawamori.
