It’s no secret; I love anime. I mean, if I didn’t love it, I damn sure wouldn’t be here, right? But sometimes I need to take a step back and ask myself why I love it so much. More specifically, why is anime so frigging addictive? What is it about Japanese animation, compared to Chinese animation, or United States animation, or German animation, that compels legions of fans to publicly masquerade as their favorite characters, outfitted in painstakingly constructed cosplay (with accessories to match!) How is it that anime has become a worldwide obsession, spanning countless social demographics and national boundaries? Isn’t ‘anime’ simply the Japanese loanword for ‘animation’?

Wow, now I’ve seen some really great trolls on 4chan and the like but I’m not sure anyone has trolled me as much as Sunrise just did. This is seriously epic-level trolling of everyone who watches this show. That being said this episode had so much awesomeness and hilarity to it that I’m going to have to try really hard to seriously discuss the srs business parts of the show.

What? Delivering a simple love letter to your client this time?

So sorry for the (very) late post on this week’s episode. Damn you subbers, you’re all so slow in publishing the subs to us. And before I forget, all pictures shown here are credited to Crunchyroll. After watching this episode this makes my desire to compare Toppi and Kuma (or Teddie in the NA version) from Persona 4, since they are bear and they end their sentences with ‘kuma’. Oh, the hilarity…but I’ll only do that after WD (Anime series) ends and Persona 4 reaches to NA in December.

And I won’t be able to blog any of the series (with 90% confirm that I’ll be too busy with exams and stuff) when 2009 comes. So just treat Vampire Knight Guilty and Yozakura Quartet as the last anime series I’m going to blog about in 2008/2009. I won’t be leaving the blog anytime soon, and I won’t quit either, because quitters lose in battles.

If only your actions were as beautiful as this picture Ranka…

Much to my joy Ranka finally did do something other than cry, unfortunately in doing so she just shot to pieces whatever hope there was for any development between her and Alto-hime. Getting on the bus did not do Minmay any favors and jumping on the Brera Bus is not going to help Ranka much either. For some reason the more I see Ranka being down and out the more I seem to dislike her because she seems to be only focused on her own pain. Ranka wasn’t doing any one any favors after the successful completion of Luca’s plan, but I guess now that Ranka has confessed and then run away perhaps she thinks that will some how win over Alto-hime, but I have my doubts.

So this post is again late mostly because the DoD ID Card folks were closing earlier than they used to, much to my misfortune I had to make an unplanned over night stay. Before you all ask me why I’m still blogging this series let me say this… While I do think this series has gone down the toilet several episodes ago and has no chance for redemption, I feel that I should stay committed and finish blogging a series that I started. I’ve flaked out and dropped a few series in the past and I feel like that I should make up for it here (although this is probably the one thing I SHOULD flake out on).

So while I’m reluctant to do so, I will be finishing up the series and blogging it as well. I hope anyone who actually reads these episode summaries will join in and continue my journey of joy and pain (mostly pain).
