The Koihime Art of War Page 3 – Ma Chao

null
And this is supposed to be the gallant and proud warrior, Ma Chao. O…kay.

As expected, the attention loli whore Zhang Fei (or Rin rin for all you sick freaks who watch this for the loli fanservice) decided that it is way too much for the huge mammalian creatures to dominate the screen. It is a sad thing that they DO occupy too much space sometimes, which is why Zhang Fei decided to use power against power.

Today, our harem member to capture is Ma Chao from Liangzhou, the north-western part of China. Liangzhou (modern day Wuwei) was famous in the Three Kingdoms Era for their wild horses that gallops in the huge plains and the strong horsemen who were well trained to calm down these beasts. If you know your geography well, Liangzhou borders on Mongolia, a place with huge plains that requires horse-riding to get to anywhere.

Anyway, no one reading this cares about cool history. So let’s go and have some hate love on Episode 3.

null
Hence, since I will be defeated by Cao Cao eventually, I might as well squeeze in some fanservice for anyone who cares. Hey, at least TRY TO LOOK. Damn you faggots who are only interested in “PROPER HEROES.”

Yuan Shao, the northern warlord who led the coalition to attack Dong Zhuo in 190 AD, is portrayed as a blonde (aka bimbo). I am not sure if the directors know what they are doing, but Yuan Shao was known as a pure-blooded noble that was proud of his lineage. I think anything goes, and yes he did not consider Cao Cao to be of noble blood. Anyway, for the story, Cao Cao demanded an audience for kicking some bandit butt with her hot lithe body (I am so brainwashed whenever I talk about Cao Cao), and told Yuan Shao to stop shoving her brain into the bath.

null
We are Wen Chou and Yan Liang, and we are so useless that we look totally generic. Oh, woe to side characters!

Sadly, Wen Chou and Yan Liang, who are rather famed generals, become flower vases in this show. I guess that there must be some random dumb subordinates to make Cao Cao look good. I mean, Cao Cao is the only female bastard offspring of this anime that I approve of.

In the historical text, Cao Cao was one of the minor warlords (he was not of noble birth, not as much as Yuan Shao anyway) that followed Yuan Shao in the inquisition of Dong Zhuo). Cao Cao, on the hand, scoffs at Yuan Shao as he felt that Yuan Shao did not know humility enough to understand the usage of men. Cao Cao believes that a man’s nurture and character is important, but talent is paramount to anything. A virtuous man is useless in a war without having any other talents.

null
Hah, wussies. There’s too many DFC and huge boobs in this series. The small breasted me wins!

null
Oh no! My small role in this anime is over! It’s a oxymoron joke, get it? Sigh, I just cannot get your attention!

Cao Cao simply MOCKED to the feeble comments (not to mention lame) of the obviously-made-to-be-not-important side characters in Koihime and left, adding that she will be clearing out more bandits for the fun of it.

That said, Cao Cao due to his lack of noble blood (not like Yuan Shao and Kong Rong who had the golden platter handed to them) was often involved in pursuing bandits during the Yellow Turban Revolution. That earned him the respect, and I guess Koihime was trying somehow to refer to that. Or perhaps, it’s merely to give Yuan Shao some purpose for non-important fanservice.

null
Oh, nice girls over there. I wonder if I can get them to MY brothel instead.

Cao Cao saw the girls and found Guan Yu interesting, when she passed by them on the streets. Oh, she also complimented on the beautiful dark hair of Guan Yu, aka Aisha as given by the lame creators of the game in order to make them cuter. Sigh.

On serious business, this is somewhat reflective of the admiration of Guan Yu in the historical and novel versions of the Three Kingdoms era. I am probably over-analyzing it too much, but since Koihime is meant to be taken as a total joke, I am fully allowed to over-interpret, over-analyze and over-scrutinize it like a douche bag.

null
Hey Zhao Yun, I know you refused to be a prostitute, but now we are leered at dirty otakus now!

As they need to pay for their uptake, they decided to go to a meido cafe. Nonetheless, what is wrong with the meido cafe when there is no one trying to pull the skirt, leer at the hot chicks at hand or try to at least molest them? This is a freaking brainless ecchi show, so try to fit the bill here!

null
Hey, I am useless and stupid and impulsive. Wanna join Group Loser?

Zhang Fei, due to her inability to do absolutely anything, went away and found Ma Chao who was here to participate in a fighting competition. Zhang Fei said that she would win it in order to get the cash, but Ma Chao added that she would win it.

As usual, some novel tidbits were strangely coincidental in this anime. Ma Chao’s first encounter with the Shu army is actually with Zhang Fei in the battle of Jiameng. The two men fought like tigers for long periods on two occasions with no signs of either one gaining an upper hand. Zhuge Liang then made a ploy to make Liu Zhang distrust Ma Chao, while an envoy was used to persuade him. In fear of his current fragile situation, Ma Chao defected to the Shu faction.

null
And I never expected to see a bigger loser right here. Big is nothing!

null
Wrong, little lady. BIG is everything. See me own this green haired gal (Impz: Noooooo!)

null
See, being big occupies more screen space and time. There is no place for you, little attention whore.

As expected, when the two girls joined the competition, they kicked every single one’s ass. I mean, this is a show with a deus ex machina plot that refuses to surprise you with great complexity. You should be happy when they try to make it feel like there is a plot somehow.

null
Oh yeah? I will show you that small is the new BIG!

So they are finally in the final and started to fight in order to get whatever reward that they are supposed to get.

null
Boring. Boring. Boring. Look at me and focus your attention only on me. (Impz: No joke, she said something like that as well in the anime during the scene here. It’s like she is even worse than the little slut known as Rin Rin)

null
Hah, that’s because ALL THE ATTENTION IS UPON ME. Bestow me the love, people!

null
How many times must I remind you? BIG IS ALWAYS BETTER.

null
You… you didn’t tell me we have an audience listening to what I am saying! Hazukashii~

Honestly, while they fought, Zhang Fei suddenly had a growl in her stomach. Zhao Yun also growled as it was clear both of them were quite hungry. Yuan Shao called this duel to be a draw and proclaimed them winners. While she tried valiantly to get some attention, the crowd simply disappeared. That will teach the side character a lesson in anime: When you are a side character in a harem show, NO ONE FRICKING CARES.

null
No, I cannot join your harem. I am a main character, you side character bitch.

Yuan Shao invited our heroes to her squad, shocking her close aides. They decided to device a plan to get rid of the two new ones. They wanted to plan a very hard mission for them, but Yuan Shao decided to have an internal competition to see who would be better fit as the aides beside her. Obviously, we know who would be the winner. If you still cannot tell, your intelligence level is lower than 34 points. Yes, lower than Wen Chou.

null
Oh, what huge bananas you have, Grandma.

They have some really stupid competitions. It’s divided into intelligence, looks and martial arts. I like the funny reference about Wen Chou having 34 intelligence points. If you do not catch that reference, I think it is likely to be a comment on his intelligence on the Koei strategy game, Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Ma Chao, Zhang Fei, Wen Chou, Yan Liang were very low intelligence warriors in that game.

null
The ugliest Megane Loli ever in an anime harem show. Where’s our Megane fetish girl?

null
I don’t know. I prefer the attention to me, *blush blush*

Wen Chou’s group won the intelligence part due to the fact that Zhang Fei and Ma Chao were so dumb. I mean it. Even Narutards might possess higher intelligence. Maybe.

null
Why? I saw Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and it was a hot hit with the guys. These people have NO taste.

Honestly, I would choose this outfit to win immediately compared to that lame effort of the dumb team. Well, as expected, the deus ex machina plot rocks on to have a tie. Of course, if you notice clearly, the fanservice quota in this series is surprisingly low for a comedy ecchi show. That is not right, but do not fret. They are leaving the best (aka the most blatant fanservice) for the last.

null
We are naked now. Hear us roar with GREAT FANSERVICE!

Now, this is why Koihime goes from borderline funny to extreme ridiculous and capricious lameness. I mean, who in the right mind would make the martial arts competition a naked sumo wrestling contest with a swan float? You can either call it very dumb, or very stupid, or very retarded and …I run out of negative words to say. My IQ is not much higher than 34, after all.

null
We won with our bodies… not. I guess being generic means being naked will not get much attention.

Of course, the girls were too embarrassed to have that competition and left.

null
Hah, Guan Yu, see our newest harem member!

New Harem member, Ma Chao, reporting for duty. So, four out of five Tiger generals have already been captured. I guess we should have our MILF Huang Zhong soon as the next capture. Stay tuned up to then!

Ha, you spent more time talking about novel than the actual anime.

I don’t have anything against this show though. It’s still generic and very much geared towards echii fan, but the nods it make to the novel are interesting, including white horse general, Guan Yu/Zhang Fei sibling bow, completely obnoxious character of Yuan Shao (and his two strong but stupid generals), Ma Chao/Zhang Fei rivalry, Cao Cao -> Guan Yu…I think the guy behind this anime adaptation knows a thing or two about the original novel.

God Bless You for covering this.

I was really looking forward to this adaptation and I couldn’t even make it past the first episode. This series is like a yuri pokemon with breasts. I appreciate that it’s adapted from an eroge game but so was Utawarerumono dammit and at least that adaptation was good!

This one just seems trashy and lowbrow. This is the type of series that I can see winding up on 4kids entertainment after being heavily edited to remove or obscure all the ecchi scenes. I’ll keep checking your entries to see if this series ever redeems itself. My bet says no, however. ;/

@Gaguri: Well, I am A NUT for the novel and the historical text. I mean, I actually read the novel when I was 11. Yes, I am a ROTK nut, which is strange since i have hardly shown any interest in it from the various adaptations. However, this version just hits the deck with terrible efficiency. Ya, the fact that they try to link it to ROTK just makes it much more disturbing for me since I feel like wtf is going on.

That said, as a shallow fanservice series, it is actually doing quite well. Just don’t turn on your brain and make sure you have a mentality of a 8 year old kid. You will survive.

@Panther: Right for the yuri? You want Guan Yu, Huang Zhong and Zhao Yun to have a fricking threesome or something? Oh god, what the $@^#$^#$^$ is wrong with you. They are warriors of war, NOT WHORES of war.

@Halcyon: Ya, I usually won’t cover such a series if you visit THAT enough to notice. The problem is that I got annoyed enough by the series and the very fact that they use various links to the original ROTK ticks me off. I do not really care whether anyone will hate me for hating fanservice (amusingly, I hate this fricking show so much that I actually like it), but I just want to rant it out for the sake of it. By the way, I horribly disagree that this is a yuri pokemon with breasts. THIS IS A YURI POKEMON WITH BREASTS OF ALL SORTS AND SIZES.

It’s supposed to be trashy and lowbrow. I mean, when Cao cao commented on Guan Yu’s beautiful hair, she talked about the hair below (hint: yes, you are thinking that). Well, even if it ever redeems itself, you will never see me admit it. EVER.

EVER. Anyway, it’s actually decently perverted and funny in the wrong way. I will think that any woman who ever watches this is very likely to be offended by the many sexist references.

    @Impz

I’m a very big fan of Ro3K and seeing this bastardized version of it makes me want to literally shit a brick and hit the director in the face with it.

It takes a lot for me to switch off a show right in the middle of the first episode. I sat through the entire season of G-On Riders just because of my megane fetish (I was rewarded in the 13th episode with partial nudity and a faux-bukakke scene @_@) but this is just too much for even ME to stomach. Props to you for having the constitution to reign in your gag reflex while watching this godawful series.

You sir, are a scholar and a gentleman!

Well, I haven’t seen anything yet, but perhaps I will. I want to see why this is such a bad anime. But when I hear that it is a yuri pokemon with breasts of all sorts and sizes, then I believe that it will become a huge hit. Pokemon is very popular and guys should be pleased with a lot of ‘movement’ and some of the ‘outfits’shown in the pictures above. But like I said, I haven’t seen it (yet).

  7. Posted July 23, 2008 at 9:29 am | Permalink

@Halcyon: Oh, I do not want to hit the director at all. In fact, I think that the true mastery of his skills (if you consider them to be skills) will be shown when the beautiful, majestic and gorgeous beauty of Diao Chan appears. I will be so bowled over and make a freaking grand entry about her…yeah her.

That said, ROTK in itself is like an over-exaggeration of the historical facts of the Three Kingdoms Era. If anything, there is quite a strong bias toward the Shu faction in order to make them look like the good guys. I do not mind that because a story often needs a protagonist and an antagonist in order to go forth. Without a clear stance on the characters, it’s hard to write a novel about it.

Well, I actually spit out my peach ice tea when I saw Zhang Fei as a freaky loli. Mind you, I am fine with lolis and in fact like an innocent Ichigo Mashimaro anytime. Nonetheless, this just annoys me so much because it plays on the stereotype that Zhang Fei is dumb and artless. If you check my second episode entry, you will know that scholars have often speculated that this faux de pas appearance (due to the popularity of the ROTK) makes it seem so.

The truth is that Zhang Fei is probably skilled with many scholarly aspirations. He might not be a Li Bai, but he is definitely not a bore by any standards. It’s a pity that he’s being stereotyped so often like this.

Haha. I am no gentleman but a masochist perhaps.

Squirm, novel-lovers, squirm. Low-brow? On the surface. The humor is actually funny, which is not always the case with comedy anime. And the way it parallels/perverts the book is part of its charm. The writer is Go Zappa (that’s what he calls himself), and he was the writer of Chokotto Sister (manga and anime) and Myself;Yourself. Those were not very good and did not prepare me for the hilarity of this show. But director Nakanishi Nobuaki did the hilarious (for a while) Sumomo mo Momo mo. And animation director Oshima Miwa was the creator of Cosmopolitan Prayers and Love love, so perhaps a fanservice expert. He is also listed as character designer for Saiunkoku, so he has studied ancient costume, at least for some era.

I wonder how this show will end, if Guan yu’s quest is to finding a worthy master along with her Female Fighting Force and Liu Bei technically doesn’t exist in this anime, who will she serve?

I’m Kinda dissapointed that they made Cao Cao a loli, i dunno but the thought of one of the most powerful warlords as a little girl doesn’t sit well with my heart.

@Impz: Such is the fate of a man in his times, Zhang Fei sadly will probably now and forever be seen as a Drunken brawler, just like how Liu Bei will forever been know as the Righteous People person.

Series like this were created so that you people could blog about it, and I can save my eyeballs by just reading, instead of watching it.

By the way, have you watched Red Cliff? It’s a movie based on the Chronicles of the 3 Kingdoms, not Romance of the 3 Kingdoms, which is more historically accurate. It’s freaking awesome. It IS in Chinese though.

True. Zhang Fei certainly displayed a level of tactics and showed respect to those of wisdom and honour. I still find the parallels funny/amusing but I have to agree that they’re only at the surface level and don’t exploit the things that make RoTK REALLY fascinating. For example, I think it would’ve been more interesting for them to show more of Gongsun Zang, how he pretends to care about the world on appearance but selfish and narrow-minded like Yuan Shao at core (which was Zhao Yun’s observation I believe). People like him, Yuan Shao, Lu Bu makes us realise just how hard it is to find lords like Cao Cao and Liu Bei, who have vision, ambition and resolution to change the world of chaos.

Alas, we just have to accept that from an eroge adaptation, the characters aren’t designed according to fascinating character studies but to the needs to play safe and satisfy fans with stereotypes.

    Like head-strong tsundere…brainless loli…MILF…twin loli…

O well. I guess I should be thankful that this is not a sausage fest between yaoi bishounens trying to do each other.

Wow, I was typing up a reply to everyone, and I dozed off for 4 long hours for a nap.

@Ukyo: Oh yes, there are many scenes that ensures your bouncing balls, and the outfits are made simply for fanboys to swoon over the delicious fanservice. However, I REALLY dislike fanservice for the sake of fanservice, and it disgusts me further that they fully use the name of the characters. They did not japanesed it, but in fact add more insults by giving each warrior a female name for affection. Screw that.

Honestly, Pokemon is popular, but it’s for kids. This is for kids of a different sort.

@Hashihime: One man’s humor is another man’s crap. To me, I find myself laughing at some scenes and yet find some scenes simply appalling and insulting for even remotely linking it back to ROTK notions. I actually do not have prior respect for directors in general, and the series you mention are series that I awfully hate, so I can see why I hardly have any good words for it.

That said, brainless shows never get good words for me, even if it is well done like this show.

@anime Fan: Hah, if you see it from a mere surface view, sure.

@Ex: I bet Guan Yu’s quest is just to form a bloody harem for the fun of it. Honestly, I doubt that there will be any plot at all as it will step into the slippery slope of fanservice for the sake of it. I hope it proves me wrong but basing a series on an eroge series that prides itself for tons of fanservice never reeks of extremely great story telling.

Cao Cao is not a loli. She’s small sized and she does not have completely flat boobs. Well, at least that is what I am trying to convince myself.

@Solunar: And I am not the type of person who will blog this in general. Consider it luck. I still have not watched that show (red Cliff) and I have heard so many good things about it.

@Gaguri: Honestly, Yuan Shao probably has vision but not the vision in the war. Some people are heroes during a time of uncertainty, while some simply disappeared in the face of adversity. Gongsun Zan does not pretend to care about the world. He does. However, he has no strength or the capacity to protect the world. It is one thing to be kind but another thing to be a warmonger or administrator. Different people have different strengths.

Let’s go back to how Cao Cao decides on people that will work for him. There are perhaps many people who respect Cao Cao and are virtuous people. They are pious and all. However, despite that, Cao Cao does not look at just that trait in a war period. Someone like Gongsun Zan will probably be a classic example of a pious and loyal officer. However, Cao Cao will be more interested in someone like Guo Jia. Guo Jia is not an officer with a correct moral ethic, but he does his job well. Think of it as the modern Bill Clinton or something.

@LDC: Oh, when the show uses every single PROPER name of the character (including the official declared and family name) of the historical/novel characters, I think it is highly impossible to separate the show from ROTK. I usually never blog on series that I hate, but saying that I hate something means there is some worth in watching it.

If I do not even bother about it, now this show will really suck.

Hmm I swear Zhao Yun saw Gonsun Zan as the same type as Yuan Shao but ok. I disagree about Yuan Shao though. He lacked vision in everything, not just in war but in internal and external affairs as well. He does not think through and can not see the big picture, does not heed good advice when needed and is easily manipulated by his own people. Despite having the best chance of beating Cao Cao, he was brought down by his short-sighted and indecisive nature.

And as much as I agree that administration of worthy people was one of Cao Cao’s strengths, he had a little bit of Yuan Shao inside him. Remember Xun Yu? He was virtually neglected after he pissed Cao Cao off by going against building the bird pavilion, despite his incredible talents that obviously shined through Cao Cao’s early campaigns. And although Yang Xiu was a dickhead, he was insanely smart and Cao Cao was not able to use him like he was meant to.

  19. Posted July 24, 2008 at 6:47 am | Permalink

@Gaguri: I believe that Zhao Yun saw more of the incompetency of Gongsun Zan. I am sure you know the definition of a well-meaning loser, and that is sadly the legacy of Gongsun Zan. He clearly cared about the country and is not a pretentious person by any chance. In fact, he truly believed in preserving the Han. Yet, ideals are merely ideals that cannot fit the mind or the country.

I don’t think Yuan Shao is manipulated. The thing about Yuan Shao is that he does not listen to advice and believes that he is a proud noble that knows better than anyone. If I read the historical text of Yuan Shao correctly (and a Chinese professor’s conference presentation of the difference between Cao Cao and Yuan Shao), Yuan Shao chose people who will make him look good. He deliberately chose sons of nobles who will be able to make him look like a scholar. Before you scowl and think that this is awfully ridiculous, in ancient China, having some noble blood is considered to be a proud thing and nobles often look down on people of low descent.

Cao Cao, on the other hand, does not really care that your family prestige is low, but concentrates on your talent. Cao Cao considers nobility to be important as he is a minor noble himself, but does not use that as a requirement or yardstick for greatness. Many of his officers were previously bandits or common soldiers that will never be recruited by Yuan Shao. That is one of the key differences in the tactical brilliance of Cao Cao.

Due to that issue of Cao Cao’s arrogance, I think that any man will have that. The difference is that Cao Cao’s merits in choosing talents to his side far outweighs the few blunders that he has made in choosing people. Xun Yu and Yang Xiu are clearly two people that Cao Cao could have used in a better way as they are both extremely talented and intelligent. Nonetheless, they got the bad side of Cao Cao. I think this shows despite the greatness of Cao Cao, he has human flaws just as anyone of us.

I’m not sure if these were from Sanguozhi or Sanguo Yangyi due to my poor brain capacity (and an enthusiasm for RotK several degrees lower than most ardent fans) but two key examples of Yuan Shao being manipulated by his subordinates were,

    1. When feeling ashamed by not listening to Tian Feng’s advice, Peng Ji’s misleading words angered him to execute Tian Feng.

    2. When Guo Tu tried to cover his own ass by re-directing Yuan Shao’s anger towards Zhang He and Gao Lan.

Obviously you’re spot on about his proud nature but that in turn leads to his vulnerability to be manipulated and exploited by his subordinates who can see through him. And I obviously don’t need to go into details about how easy it was for Liu Bei to manipulate Yuan Shao in the novel.

*by the way thanks for the replies, I’m starting to learn more about RoTK than I did before d(0.0)

I think you guys need to remember who it was that Zhao Yun left Gongsun Zan (Even thought Gingsun Zan was Dead by the time Zhao yun Joined Liu Bei) for. I don’t believe that Zhao yun ever thought that Gongsun Zan was incompetent and even if he were i don’t think Zhao Yun really would of cared. I think that if Liu Bei had not existed and didn’t get murdered by Yuan Shao, Zhao Yun would have stayed with Gongsun Zan because really what Zhao Yun was looking for was Someone who cares about the people and country, and boy that surely descrides Liu Bei.

Thus now you need to compare Gongsun Zan with Liu Bei, You can see why Liu Bei was a much Better choice then Gongsun:
    1. Liu Bei was related to the Emperor
    2. Despite being related to the Emperor, Liu Bei grew up in humble beginnings.
    3. He had Guan Yu and Zhang Fei
    4. He had the same views as all the other Warlords at the time but he was probably the most convincing.

How could Zhao Yun not favour Liu Bei over Gongsun Zan?

Moving on, most warlords at the time had vision, ambition and resolution to change the world of chaos. The only difference between Cao Cao, Liu Bei and the rest of them were at they where lucky enough to score a handful of useful people and didn’t have a stick up their arse if they were peasents or not.

Cao Cao, most useful at scoring handfuls of people from the Enemies he defeated such as Zhang Liao and Zhang He.

  22. Posted July 24, 2008 at 8:54 am | Permalink

@Gaguri: Arr. I don’t think Liu Bei did anything to manipulate Yuan Shao that much anyway. They have little contact if any to be honest. The conflict is generally with Cao Cao for Yuan Shao.

@Ex: I think that it is a foregone conclusion for Zhao Yun. The thing is that Zhao Yun was not of noble birth when he was with Gongsun Zan. Liu Bei, despite his heritage, is not stable at all due to the fact that his declaration of power. In fact, in the historical text, Liu Bei was under the protection of Gongsun Zan during the usurping of the throne by Dong Zhuo. I think the story about Lu Bu fighting with Guan Yu and Zhang Fei is a legendary scene in the novel.

In fact (this fact I did not know until I checked out), in 192 Zhao Yun was placed under the authority of Liu Bei, who at the time held only the rank of a major under Gongsun Zan, as a commander of Liu Bei’s cavalry forces. Liu Bei had a contingent of several thousand Wuhuan cavalry and Zhao Yun was put in charge of this force. That is perhaps where Zhao Yun got to know the chivalry and leadership of Liu Bei.

It must be said that there has been no indication that Zhao Yun would have defected to Liu Bei if Gongsun Zan did not die, but I guess we will never know. Nonetheless, it’s amusing how the three major warlords of the era recruited in differing ways. I leave that for a later discussion. =3

Oh, I’m not saying there was conflict between Liu Bei and Yuan Shao. If I remember correctly Impz, Liu Bei was within Yuan Shao’s camp whole time during the his conflict with Cao Cao (when Guan Yu was under Cao Cao’s service). He could’ve lost his head three times but slipped through with his words. My point from the start was that Yuan Shao is too proud and can not think through his decisions, which makes him easy target to be persuaded and manipulated through words by other people, especially his sly subordinates. This is of course…all coming from novel.

Wow. Pretty serious ROTK discussion going on here at an anime blog of all places. Don’t mind me, just your average ROTK novel/game fan and lurker.

@Gaguri: Yep, that only happened in the novel because they want to show the difference of Yuan Shao and Liu Bei. I could be very wrong on this, but I do not remember that much of a focus in the historical text. Hah, I do wonder whether he has any capable officers who are sly enough to do so.

@Yamcha: hahaha, what’s wrong with that. Crusader talks about Prussian military history, and I like my ROTK and the historical text of the three kingdoms era. ^^ join in the conversation, or simply talk about the anime that makes Wen Chou and Yan Liang naked bishoujos with swan floats.

@LDC: nope I enjoy this show as well ,but not this episode. But I imagine that if I knew anything about the 3 kingdoms I would despise the show as well, after all ignorance is bliss as they say.

I can’t blame people for the hatred though. If I imagine someone trying to pull this with something like the Iliad, I … I would fong them till their outsides are in, their insides are out. Until their entrails become their extrails.

@Adoggz: hahaha. I bet with you that one day, there will be this anime.

Achilles is a hot red-haired bishoujo with slender and beautiful legs, with a cleavage showing bodice. Agamemnon, a yellow haired tsundere who is the commander of the Greek forces at Troy, insults Achilles by taking Briseis, a shota that is dear to Achilles as a sex slave.

Achilles decided to get back her beloved shota by slaying Agamemnon. However, what will the soft spoken Megane Hector, the princess of Troy do?

*get ready to run from adoggz*

@Ex: Me. Cao Pi will be so damn hot. Classic tsundere O_O What the $^$#^$#^ am I saying?

Loli is good and you should be ashamed for not liking it. Also Rinrin is awesome, so she deserves her screentime!

  34. Posted July 26, 2008 at 6:57 am | Permalink

@Anoy: Loli is good for sure. However, loli that is as annoying as Rinrin? No thanks, I prefer my cute and sweet loli anytime. Rinrin is just so annoying with her lame rendition. I DEMAND better lolis.

What Rinrin is not cute? You obviously have no idea about moe. Didn’t you notice her cute hairclip that’s like alive and follow her emotions? It’s an accessory of cuteness!
Of course, if you dislike the whole idea of tomboyish loli, sure you’ll hate her. But in the game she was the only character calling the protagonist ‘onii-chan’ while all others girls would call him ‘master’.
Also, you’re right about Cao Cao, she’s not a loli. Only retards would think she is.
