The ABA experience: The best Team blogs of our blogosphere

Sorry to the rest of the guys of THAT, I couldn’t include you ‘cos there was simply too many
The pressure is on. Impz has kindly asked me to write up the review for the best Team blogs of the blogosphere since he didn’t want to boast about his own team’s greatness — instead he got me to do that for him. Even so, I was more than willing to help out and I haven’t exactly been blogging for more than four months, so I might not know as much as some of you do.
In addition, Impz is also here to contribute a little to fill in the space for Sea Slugs Team, since I do have a special word for them.
Gold Award: THAT Animeblog

Surprised? Yeah, I didn’t think so. No doubt, if you’ve seen the Anime Previews for each new season, then you’re bound to see some great teamwork in there. According to Impz, the team holds a conference at a specific time where they decide which anime to blog, and they all have to have yim in order to communicate, and one thing you need to have in order to be a good team blog is contact. You can see each of their individuality collide in this blog very nicely since everyone gets to blog whatever seems to please them in their own way. THAT is also frequently updated and has a large variety of anime blogged each season, from Macross Frontier to Kanokon.
Sometimes, writers of THAT will mention each other’s names in certain posts, which shows that they really do know each other, and they don’t just write stuff and be gone with it. THAT is also a unique blog itself with a beautiful layout modified by Riex. What else is a wonderful aspect of this blog is that they don’t ignore the rest of the blogosphere and remain within their own territory. Besides, can you really say no to a green-loli trapz? Of course not. And what more can I say except THAT loves everyone, everyone loves THAT, THAT loves each other and so they certainly deserved the Gold Medal for the Best Team Blog.
It’s lots of great fun chatting with Impz on the IRC Channel, which is why he’s probably the closest one I know out of all the bloggers of THAT. Riex became busy, but he’s a good fan of my comics, which is why he’s awesome too. itsubun started the All-Girl Round Robin (AGRR), Crusader always links back to my Macross Frontier posts so he’s brilliant as well.
Silver Award: Seal Slugs! Anime Blog

Sea Slugs Team is perhaps the blog that I wish to mention the most. They are perhaps the first blog that I visit, even before I started my own blog in THAT. If you wish to find the inspiration behind the creation of this blog, it will be Sea Slugs. That is why it always has a very special place in my heart, particularly Kabitzin and his merry friends that have generally stopped blogging.
If there is one thing that Sea Slugs! Anime Blog does well, it is its drive to make you feel at home. Kabitzin always focuses on improving the quality of their blog, which is something I always try to emulate in improving the user experience who visits the blog. Cases in note will be the Ajax comment editing plugin, a very important tool to facilitate the anal-retentive bunch of us commentators. I always find it amazing how he finds all these awesome plugins.
Blogging wise, there is perhaps a bit of wanting in terms of collaborations between bloggers in the same team. Nonetheless, Sea Slugs! Anime Blog is a good place to look for if you want to know how to make a team blog work well. They are perhaps one of the oldest team anime blogs out there, and I know their friendship with each other is nothing less than excellent. With my personal association with Kabitzin, I really wish if we can do some collaboration to associate more bloggers, such as their blog review editorials.
Bronze Award: RIUVA

When I first came across this blog, I didn’t really know what it was all about until I kept visiting it, and soon I learned that it was actually a team blog which was, basically, a research institute for unicultural visual arts. RIUVA is a great blog to visit and their teamwork is fantastic — I mean, they even when on a holiday trip together!
They all seem pretty unique (haven’t been around long enough to be certain lols), and their articles are always fun to read, especially because they write about nearly everything you can possibly think of and make it interesting at the same time. So they might not be heavy with episodic posts or anything, but already I can tell that they’re loved by most bloggers of the community.

I really like this blog. You have a true sense of team work and friendly-ness towards each other and the readers that only a few blogs have.
Angry Impz? I wouldn’t belive o_o
Thanks for the kind words! I was wondering how this post would go, considering how ANGRY the last one was (before getting yanked). The other team members of Sea Slugs do still post, as Kungfucius is currently covering Soul Eater and Ender adds an editorial or a review maybe 1-2 times a month. We discuss anime a lot behind the scenes, though, and their thoughts influence my posts.
I noticed you picked a cap with lots of Ranka shots and Blissmo’s comment on top =D. Grats to THAT and RIUVA as well.
Seal Slugs FTW!
Nooo blissmo! You’ve defected to another group of
