@Coaxen
Any picture of Britney is disgusting, i felt that the shotgun might detract a bit from the eye gouging pain.

I still prefer quality over quantity in anime, Gonzo put out quite a lot back in the day, but not all of it was of good quality or worthy of remembrance. Resources are finite, unlike the the US or USSR most studios do not have the vast amount of resources to make thing in quantity to make up for the lack of quality.

Sadly KyoAni has finite resources and seem more keen on making visual novel adaptations than remaking older anime series. Such a pity that they have been delaying Haruhi-sama's second coming.

@jpmeyer
I saw that post many moons ago and my impression of the game remains the same, that it was a lot of moon speak text and menu navigation than the kind of game a FPS junky like me could not endure for long even if I can grind my way through some of the older FF games. Glad you enjoyed the game though.

Besides I still think the Macross Valkyries are some much more sexy. ;)

Seriously, you should have censored that Britney photo. It's disgusting.

About that metaphor 'war-anime_studios'... well, if Il Duce was like a production studio, then Germany, Russia, France were producers. It's quite good: An epic fail of a concept makes it less probable to be used another time...a successful concept makes it more valuable and becomes more popular(like copious amounts of fanservice).

This metaphor however, makes no place for the viewers. Making Anime is a war between people with money over money in our pockets. We are resources :O

And sadly, we're somewhere at WWII now. It's better for an army to have lots of cannon fodder and a humongous army of cheap tanks that will last for only a few battles and that are easy to produce; than to have a small high-quality division.
It's how I see it: lots of cheap anime that last for a few weeks, make some money, and disappear. Some are good enough to deserve a new, improved version - even cheaper, faster in production and equally shitty :D

@Omisyth
It is after all her life to life, and her's to ruin.

@bearzerger
Well such is life, at least it will be a spectacle and the resulting disaster will be more limited in scope.

you think they'd be able to learn? You underestimate the extend of human stupidity. After 7000 years of civilisation or so we still haven't learned not to make war on one another and we even managed two world wars within 30 years. Seriously give it ten years and we'll have half a dozen Britneys who'll all be worse than the original.

@physics152
It was a roller coaster of stupidity, I am sure it would have been more enjoyable had I been able to drink back when it came out.

@bearzerger
I sat through the whole thing waiting for the spark and the charm to show through, but it was all in vain.

@jpmeyer
How do you bug out from an eroge, and by bugging out I assume you threw your controller down in frustration? I was under the impression that this game was a visual novel and not a hardcore mecha game.

Did someone set you up the bomb? ;)

Nothing seedy happened because the whole time I was bugging out because of Haruka hacking into computers and Mitsuki and Akane blowing up space aliens.

I remember thinking what was all the hype about. I had to force myself to watch the episodes and ultimately could only stand them with a lot of use of the FF button.

KgNE was a crappy soap opera of epic fail. It started boring , but watchable and turned interesting with the whole accident, then depression, then healing with Mitsuki s3x. It turned depressing again with the whole going back and forth between the girls. I mean, stick with the girl that gives you love and it's there when you need her the most. So many times I wanted to slap some sense into that guy that I had to constantly remind myself it's all fiction.

Another series is Coyote Ragtime Show. It started great with 12 goth girls going Full Metal Jacket on random cannon fodders's ass, but it degenerated into WTF is this by the second or third episode.

Boys Be follows in the sense of KgNE that I asked myself why did I watch this in the first place
