Yeah, yeah, let’s get this slice-of-life stuff out of the way already
I was kind of dreading an Ashford episode so deep into the season, but they gave us enough regular story parts to make it somewhat acceptable to do that. The hijinks were generally amusing and we got some serious “oh shit” moments in there, especially at the end. It’s been a couple of episodes since we’ve had a nasty cliffhanger.
Sayoko may be an “SP” (by the way, what the hell does that mean? I see she’s some sort of supermaid ninja woman but I’m not sure what that stands for) but she’s hardly intelligent when it comes to impersonation of someone’s personality. Poor Lelouch and his dates with 108 Stars of Destiny…er girls at Ashford.

Mmmmm Anya’s no idiot, but it’s hard to tell what she’s thinking because of her lack of visible emotions. You also have to consider the fact that at the end of the episode she spots both of the Lelouch’s. So how about it guys, shall we start a countdown of episodes until she joins the Black Knights? There are plenty of theories out there, from crazy to sane- she was originally intended to be his Knight/fiancée before he got thrown out, her family got killed along with Marianne, she’s Marianne/Nunally’s clone, Lelouch’s long lost sister, etc. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark…
I could make a lot of yaoi jokes right here but I won’t. I could also say a pouting Rolo looks kind of moe, but I wo…shit. Next, please.
As we figured in the preview from last week, another one of Millay’s silly games had to come into play. And as usual she had to get Lelouch involved extra, which I found kind of amusing but at the same time wishing we could have some real plot here. There’s too much I want to know about more than Millay being sad at having to leave Ashford.
Royal introductions around. And right up front we have the one-eyed monster Bismarck, the Knight of One! (hidden geass or bad haircut incident, you decide!) Next we have Guinevere, one of the older princesses who is a nasty bitch just like her little sister Carine who apparently hates Nunally. How it’s possible to hate a blind and crippled girl who just wants to help everyone is beyond me.
And the man’s man shows up once again, trying to fuck with everyone. Perhaps he’s just messing with his kids telling them to destroy China to see how they react. He seems to be testing his son Schniezel and competing with him, and loving every minute of it. After all he believes in survival of the fittest through such competition.
Also shown in last week’s episode was a blurb of Cornelia v2.0 with her new look, which looks much better than last season’s. She figures to be pretty central to the plot considering what she learns of later, that whatever the Emperor is doing is going to destroy the world according to Bartley, the fat guy. Whether she will stick to her original plan (whatever that involves) or fight against her father remains to be seen as well.
Twitch, snarl, Lloyd wants to violate the Gurren. Looks like Rakshata is going to have to come up with some entirely new stuff if Lloyd is about to jack all of her secrets. Somewhat surprising was Nunally going to visit Kallen, but we aren’t told exactly what they talked about. Probably wants to talk about her onii-sama.
Uh, ok. Totally not gay really, just “in the closet.” I loved how right after some random NPC faceplanted into the locker. Millay and her silly games once again.
I had some Gates flashbacks there, but apparently Miya is important enough to have her own page on the official site. I cringe at introducing random Ashford girls this late in the game, so I really wish they would avoid doing that. Semi-new royalty or Knights of Rounds we already figured existed are one thing, but this is something else.
Faaaaaabulous once again. Ninja Sayoko making everyone go “wtf?” One of the many problems Lelouch has at the moment, she’s now going to have to start doing his PE classes, lol =/
He’s a man, sort of. And wow, new girl is certainly hot looking in that. Something must be in the water at Ashford looking at her rack and the rest of the main Ashford girls. But outside of his sister I’m sorry but Lelocuh wouldn’t have been distracted even if it was the real Lelouch. To the real Lelouch “a woman’s body is pointless” holds true because he is surrounded by specimens such as C.C. and Kallen with curves in all the right places and either boobs or ass, and yet he does nothing with it. Oh the humanity.
No Anya, you can’t, even if you sound cute like that.
This episode was bound to be Shirley heavy, and we got a bit of development on that end, as at this point I really can’t say whether or not she’s going to be important in the overall scheme of things. The end of this episode kind of leads one to believe that she has some part to play, but perhaps it’s like last season with Mao and just kind of on the side.
The Millay sideplot seems to be wrapped up this episode (can we consider this the first real subplot that has been tied up in this show this season?) with sad goodbyes from everyone. Thankfully this means this is really the last of the silly Ashford episodes because the ringleader is gone. Lloyd’s reaction to her ditching their engagement was pretty hilarious, as he seemed to be happy about the whole thing. Cecile had a funny look on her face though…
Here we go again with the SPs, so you guys are free to help me out again. Is he talking about the various agents Brittania has scattered around that may be potentially under Lelouch’s control or something? I suppose if one wanted to infiltrate the Academy he might have to disable any protections Lelouch put up through his geass (which he probably has done without us being shown).
Yandere shot! Watch out for box cutters! Lelouch’s house is about to come tumbling the fuck down if Orange-kun comes in there and breaks all of the geasses out there (maybe even Suzaku’s plot-relevant one?). For one that means everyone’s memories will return and who knows what kind of hell that’s going to cause. My question is, if this is a “Geass Canceller,” does that mean Lelouch can re-apply his geass to those individuals? Opens up some interesting possibilities for what’s coming up, that’s for sure.
Next Episode:
A small amount of combat involving Xing Ke and Toudou, perhaps fighting off Schniezel’s moves against China. Back in Japan Lelouch has to deal with a date with Shirley and Suzaku wearing his really lameass-looking sunglasses. And the big deal is a Lelouch vs. Orange-kun duel!

Well if nothing else the whole episode confirmed that Lulu le Douche is incredibly keen on some Rollo locker action than getting with any hawt nubile girl at Ashford, so wrapped up was le Douche that he completely forgot about Kallen as did number one Kallen fan Calawain. His Kira Kira Kallen membership is here by revoked and he has been sent in as Ri Ri Rollo’s president for life grats comrade…

So it seems that Millay is Lulu le Douche’s greatest rival and Shirley sticks it to both Kallen and C.C. that by presidential decree Lulu is her property. Congratulations Shirley you have given Kaguya a kick in the teeth for failing to Chikane Tianzi. Quite why Lulu needs to work out trade agreements when he has no state is beyond me but okay sure whatever. Shirley is going to cut off le Douche’s tiny member on their honey moon. So Cornelia came back, thus the Sunrise team can rape a dakimakura of C2 for all I care right now. So on to what really matters…

Mein Kommandant ist back and she looks more lovelier than ever before. Unlike her douche bag siblings Cornelia-hime is out to avenge her beloved imouto in a fit of righteous yuri rage. Unlike le Douche and LOL-Li, Cornelia-hime is going to be the savior of the world instead of rebel fag as she will be the one to prevent the destruction of the world while those two maggots go off with little boys into love lockers. Suffice to say I hope mein Kommandant will run her sword through le Douche’s eye and decapitates C2 so Kallen can shit down the green haired witch’s neck and skull fuck her for letting her rot in jail. Cornelia was and still is awesome. If you don’t like her I suggest you cut off your balls right now and offer them to le Douche and Rollo to realize your aspirations of man hood. They will both fail. We all know that Guilford was so thoroughly domesticated that he’s actually being nice to people. All in all MOAR Cornelia-hime!

Anyway, a couple of questions about this episode haunt me.
Sayoko’s response to Milly seems to indicate that Milly had a thing for Lelouch but she never showed it. Possibly out of loyalty to Shirley?
I’m going to miss Milly. I think it was sad that she’s been basically written out of the show. She provided much entertainment as a foil for Lelouch’s academic stoicism. With her gone, who’s going to pick up the slack? Are they going to turn to Anya’s deadpan serious Sousuke Sagara-esque militantcy (See: Using a freaking knightmare on a love-hunt, for example) for lulz?
What’s with the new Ashford student? At this stage of the series do we really need another (seemingly) brainless bimbo vying for Lelouch’s affections? Hasn’t he got enough girls (and guys for that matter) riding his jock?
Orange-kun FINALLY makes his real debut showing off his brand spanking new Geass Canceller. But how useful is it? Lelouch mostly uses his Geass either to
A. Get him out of sticky situations
B. Extract information from unwilling participants
C. Execute his elaborate plans
Since Orange-kun has already admitted to not knowing who’s been Geassed, he’s starting at Ashford Academy, but seeing as how Lelouch has sparingly Geassed anyone there, of what use is this new ability?
Cornelia is back with a vengeance. What an entrance. Holy shit. It seems the reason she’s been away all this time is because she’s been tracking the Geass users but how does she even know about them? Isn’t anyone who’s been Geassed by Lelouch supposed to forget about it? Strange goings-on there.
But I’m glad she’s back in the game. Looks like there might be an insurrectionist subplot with Cornelia and Bartley as Bartley is deathly afraid of the Emperor’s plans and possibly his association with V2.
It looks like this episode wrapped up the most of the introductions as they’ve shown us the remaining Knights of the Rounds and some of the royal family.
The previews for next episode show that Shirley isn’t letting her newly rediscovered knowledge affect her relationship with Lelouch.
It also looks like Kallen gets to be a Britannian captive for at least another episode or two while Shirley takes center stage for this mini-arc. C2 is also taking a backseat whilst Lelouch gets reaquainted with his favorite Orange-kun.

I wasn’t too sure what that was a reference to, the seriousness of her leaving this place or the seriousness of her having a thing for Lelouch. And yes she provided entertainment, but we need to get to the meat of this show, we don’t have any more time to spend on Millay stuff. And he can never have enough girls apparently.
That’s a good point, he hasn’t shown a tendency to make anything long term save Suzaku’s, and that was on accident. So aside from disallowing him the use of it in direct combat against Orange-kun, I don’t think it’s going to hurt too much in that way. What it will do is screw with the memory overrides that the Emperor did to everyone and fuck everything up.
It looks like Cornelia raided a Brittanian lab or cult location, so they should know plenty about geass. Bartley certainly knows all about it.
Shirley had a couple of chances to shoot Lelouch over the death of her father and she didn’t. I think she’s going to figure some way to cope with it but I’m not exactly sure how.

I don’t think Shirley remembering anything is going to be a big deal, unless she remembers something crucial about the emperor before he geassed her and erased her memory. She already shot Viletta to protect Lulu before even though she knew who he was, so I think it will be fine.
I think the biggest things which will be revealed by an un-geass-ing will be absolutely unpredictable Sunrise-style. They can range anywhere from Rolo finding out about his REAL past, Anya finding out about her real past, or some random side character which we’ve never known about suddenly realizing everything and changing the current balance completely.

Its never been shown that well but there have been signs of Milly’s feeling for LuLu but this episodes puts a closure to that as shes basically given up on him.
If Orange-kun’s Un-Geasser makes Lelouch able to Geass the person again, then if they were allies, Un-Geass + Re-Geass = INVINCIBLE

Otto von Bismarck was a great statesman who built a Germany through Iron and Blood. He is not a poncy politician like the hacks of today, certainly he was better at the political game than Lulu le Douche. Bismarck had standards he was polite, efficient, and he had a plan to screw over ever country on the planet. It remains to be seen whether this Knight of the One can live up to the greatness of his namesake, nevertheless Cornelia-hime remains my number one hero of this series.

Seriously, think back about it- she’s the queen of hearts. Don’t view her comedic interludes as taking place in a comedy and they become, well, *pants-wetting scary*. well that was a riot of a ep i just love eps like this but its saddening that this will be the last game that Milly orchestrates in the academy. i must say that Rollo is not someone to mess with especially since it was shown that he could widen the effect of his geass to almost the whole main school building yeah the draw back was he was totally drained but wow. Geass canceller wth but my guess is if a geass was canceled then that means another chance is given to geass the same person again
