Do you remember the lost innocence of youth?

With all the delicious words on hand, we found ourselves with a slightly more common word (if a name is a word). An accurate portrayal of the word Britney will be a train wreck. However, since I have never watched more than a single episode of School Days, I am unable to use that as material. Due to my generosity/stupidity, I also allowed our new blogger, Maipetsu my original idea for blogging.

So, let’s go on a random brainstorming while I blog. I will just write what comes to my mind and see where I will be going with the word “Britney”. Good luck with the brain freeze that comes from a spontaneous spark in my quirky mind. Either that or be bored to death with my random writing behavior.

As all you have remembered in Britney’s early career, she used to give an innocent portrayal of herself, trying to maintain that she will stay a virgin until marriage (Best joke of the century). Her songs such as “Hit me baby, one more time” was a complete hit. However, good things never seem to last as she exposed herself to the drugs, sex and stupidity that caused her to go on a downward spiral.

That, to me, is caused by the loss of innocence. What is this loss of innocence that makes us Britneys? Viewer discretion required after the “break”. I would appeal to our younger audiences that are less than 15 years old to avoid this entry if possible, despite my belief in your maturity and exposure.

So, what is this loss of innocence?

… watching your first hentai of course. Were you expecting a philosophical entry about Britney and the loss of innocence in our life? If you are thinking that I am going close with that, you have given Impz way too much credit for his intelligence, or the lack of it. Go watch this to desensitize and cleanse yourself. Anyway, do you still remember the first time that you are exposed to such indecent material, with no offense to Onii chan no Ecchi or Eroge Review?

As much as we all wish to state that we have never watched a single hentai in our entire life, most guys have to admit that we watched porn before. If you find a man above 21 who says he did not watch any porn in his entire life, I will think he is either lying, blind or a sage in the making. In fact, I will believe that most women would probably break their cherry in pornography before the age of 21. I am a staunch believer that women are equally perverted, just not as outspoken as men. Oh, the pains of society and gender (/sarcasm).

Koihime, the first hentai I watched … The loss of innocence is in me.

I still remember the first time I viewed hentai. It is an accidental occurrence, unlike 99% of the perverted male anime fan population who actively tries to find 2D naked girls (YES FOR BEST SWEEPING STATEMENT EVER!). If I have a good recollection of my memories, the anime is called Koihime. I caught it at Boxtorrents then, without any knowledge of what it is.

Amusingly with a tinge of shame, I actually have no clue what hentai was then. As much as you can scoff at the impossible claim by me, the truth is that I have zero knowledge of Japanese words. I am a late bloomer to Internet, I do not know that there is a place called IRC until 1 year ago and I only knew about anime fansubs around the time I started this anime blog.

Considering my blatant ignorance then, it is rather logical to just grab whatever I can. I also bought the DVDs for Serial Experiment Lain and Boys Be, trying to fulfill my hunger at a new found hobby. Do you still remember the time when you are like a sponge? It is that period of your life where you are willing to just take whatever is there for the taking. That is the innocence of anime viewing, the partaking of anime without any consideration. It can be considered naivety, but let us be a bit more romantic.

It’s a very shell-shocking experience to say the very least. The first ten minutes of the anime went peaceful enough, without having any nudity or any hint that it is in fact a hentai show. The story was rather average but viewable. I mean, I did not even have a clue of the shock that I am going to receive in two to three minutes after the halfway mark.

It happened. My eyes opened to the idea of downright perverse behavior and sex. It’s possibly a huge shock to me since I am watching it right in the living room with my headset on, before turning it off immediately before anyone in my family can notice that I am watching PORN. It will be a serious embarrassment for me if it did, and I probably will not be writing on this anime blog telling you about my tale. It’s perhaps a consolation that this hentai is not the hardcore porn like Bible Black. I might have been ruined for marriage.

After that, I can somewhat understand the mentality of those after me about anime being sexual. With fanservice aplenty in many series such as Green Green!, Kanokon, Rosario + Vampire, is it any wonder that most of us have lost that innocence to appreciate the finer things in life when there are no DFCs, MILFs or some hot fetish-filled bishoujo to stare at in an anime?
