Saki-sama finally arrives at school and is losing all of the attention from the guys by Lala. Despite all her efforts, Saki simply cannot beat Lala’s natural popularity.

Saki’s plans are foiled when Lala’s robotic dog eats up her swimsuit forcing her to run off naked. Later on, Saki and her minion’s attempt to infiltrate Rito’s house in order to find out Lala’s “secret”. After getting caught in a bunch of traps laid by Zastin, Saki finally manages to get into Lala’s room. However, as Saki is about to find out Lala’s secret, she accidentally activates a device which transforms Lala’s room into an escape pod and sends her and Lala off towards space. After a failed attempt to be saved by Zastin, Saki falls out of the escape pod and is saved by Lala. Saki wakes up naked in the middle of the street due to Lala’s robotic dog eating up her clothes again.

Impressions

This episode felt like one of the worst episodes I’ve seen so far. Very few comedic moments were to be found. The portrayal of Saki and her two underlings felt very out of character for me. I’m not sure what it is, but they just didn’t seem like their manga counterparts. Overall, I couldn’t find anything about this episode likable. The fanservice was okay, but I mostly felt sorry for Saki everytime she had he clothes torn up by that robotic dog. I really do hope that the series gets better and that the same thing won’t happen with the introductions to the other characters. With 26 episodes it should have plenty of time to improve… I would hope.

By the way, I’m probably late to notice this but… what happened to the plaid pants? As tacky as they may seem, I thought that was actually pretty cool and unique for a school uniform.

Unplaid vs Plaid uniform… Which one do you prefer?

Unplaid seems more natural…
Actually look like an enjoyable episode,Saki hair is really hot for some reason.
As for more romance and dramatic approach, I’m sure it well come later on.
For now I’m just enjoying the service.

For the “unplaid or plaid” part, I prefer plaid and for the change I would guess it’s because maybe they got lazy drawing in all the plaid patterns on the pants every time.. but yeah, Saki’s hair is awesome :D

@Leviathan: Yes, unplaid would be more natural, but I liked the uniqueness of having plaid pants uniform. Of course, I’d never wear them myself, but I just thought the idea was cool.

@crimson: I was thinking the same thing about the laziness. It would be a bit more work to put plaid on everyone’s uniform.

And Saki’s hair is pretty awesome.

I felt quite unpleasent with the first half of this episode
The laughing of the new character is terrible

@Fabian: Yeah I thought Saki’s laughter was quite annoying to hear. But it is, after all, the overly used type of laughter that is used by many annoying characters.
