haha! "The destination is not important only the journey." - Crusader

THAT is exactly what I studied (in the past THREE months!) for English. What a surprise it was for me to see this phrase pop up here!

@marmot
Pusher propellers aren't unprecedented but they fell out of favor because debris more easily collided with the engine during take off and landing. the other problem was that in single engined fighters a rear facing engine tended to crush the pilot int he even of a crash. There are some modern aircraft that use it but not many.

That plane design certainly is novel, it looks like it's going backwards! Anyway great post, it's really interesting to learn the little historical details I don't know about. I really wonder what's going to happen in this series now because I thought it would mostly be about finding the treasure but next episode they're there it seems.

@Shin
There were military float planes used as fighters during the 1914-1940s and larger flying boats like the Catalina were outfitted with guns. I am sure that our aspiring fighter pilot is keen on downing at least one bogie.

@Dando008
the confession will probably be long in coming but it will be all the more sweeter for it.

@Nagato
What can I say I like it when people do their homework.

@Pawn
It is seems to be a fictitious design though overall it fits into the period as many novel aircraft concepts were tried out during the period.

Haha you gun fanatic you. Most of that gun talk just went straight over my head, but it's nice to know that they're keeping things relatively accurate.

What I would like to see is how the confession between Allison and Wil turn out. Wil seems to be the laid back type, but I am sure he will eventually come to his senses to see how much Allison likes him. Can't wait for next episode!

Question is, are seaplanes normally fitted with machineguns of any kind? I don't want to see her barrel rollin' and fleein' again :(
