Kanokon just strikes that note! It brings back memories of Kazuki from Amaenaideyo-Katsu. All Kanokon needs is that memorable "ooooooh yeeeeaaahhhhh" in the background.
Am I wrong?

[...] Is it just me but Yuuki looks so much cuter in the anime compared to the manga! Yuuki just feels so much cuter than how I remember her in terms of mannerisms, looks and the silly things she does. I am not sure if Studio Deen did anything with it, but whatever it is they did, I am applauding their move. I am fully enjoying this series, even if it feels a bit forced light-hearted. For now, it seems like some kind of calm before the storm, considering you are dealing with vampires, and not foxy spirits. [...]

Well, seeing how this series stands in the center of the triangle formed by ecchi, anime and hentai, possessing all traits and managing to combine them in the most enjoyable way I've seen so far and seeing how it goes for the unconventional in an anime, I mean just in the first episode there was a kiss that would make professional hentai addicts drool, I'm hoping for an unconventional ending. In other words, I sure as hell hope that little Shouta-kun... I mean Kouta-kun... will end up with a harem. Because, let's face it, what man on this planet would be able to choose between a cute, daring and overly boin girl such and Chizuru and a cute, non-talkative, as daring as the previous loli such as Nozomu. I for sure couldn't. And also the girls seem to be getting along just fine, having advanced so quickly to skinship, and even sleeping together :D.
Further more, I sure hope that Shouta-kun... damn, did it again. They sure made his character and name easily confusable... won't remain a human anymore. He was kinda cute with the kitsune mimi and shippo. And I wouldn't mind seeing him in that form playing around with the little loli. But then again, ookami mimi and shippo and playing around with Chizuru works as well. As long as he doesn't have 6 ears and two tails it's all good.
But still, based on previous experience, the fact that the loli and shouta didn't kiss in this episode makes me think that the ending will be conventional enough, Chizuru having the first pick. (Though I hope that they'll stay in touch with the loli for an H-OVA)

Come what may, there are always doujinshi to fill the gaps left by the anime and imagination :D.

I enjoying both ToLoveru and this series I have read a few chapters of Toloveru and this series is different and as very full characters within the first two ep that have aired and both following different paths. We will see if our male hero can pull his socks and slow things down a bit. But Riddle Me This - Why are the sprites after him? Answers await I hope.

I think the enjoyment of this kind of series depends whether you imagine yourself in the male lead's role or you end up envying and hating him. Unfortunately I fall in the latter category. I just can't stand watching these hot girls throwing themselves to a spineless shouta. Sorry, but I'd rather watch a hentai.

@serial

It is definitely different. You can draw a clear distinction between how it is in Kanokon versus another show airing To-Love-Ru. The former has fairly mature, sensual fanservice that is meant to be erotic and exciting. The latter feels so much more gimmicky and just thrown in there to get people to watch it, it seems pretty far from erotic and more like something a 12 year old would get excited about. OMG BOOBIES AND HE FELL INTO THEM WOW. And yes, although half of it may be unintentional, Kanokon definitely qualifies as freaking hilarious.

@Zeroblade

Nobody would watch it without it haha

@Setsuna-san

I understand the charm she has to the fans of lolis out there, even if I'm not of that persuasion myself. I am quite satisfied with my doses of Chizuru, and there's nothing wrong with a little diversity to increase the audience and draw distinctions. I welcome the competition!

Usually I'm not a big fan of fanservice, as weird as that sounds. Most of the time I find it a bit overdone, unjustified, and just plain no-fun.

Kanokon is different. It feels bold, daring, and willing to go to the extremes from the start. And its fanservice feels just right.

Not to mention it's hilarious.

O_O is quite an understatement, but I know how you feel. Thanks for the positive comments!

@Josh

I think it's quite an amazing boon to mankind, because it's wonderful! I think that I enjoy this type of stuff for the reason that I am a young and healthy perverted man. 23 is still young these days right?

@Bearzerger

YES! Plot is the show killer, down with plot!

@Myssa Rei

Ahhhh Inukami brings back fond memories of manservice, I think you saw more of the male leads package then naked girls overall. But this is one stellar performance by Kawasumi-san, she sounds really really sexy delivering all of those lines...it's hard to draw yourself away.

And, my poor brain, I think countless braincells died when I watched this episode. I'm a massive Kawasumi Ayako fangirl, but this, oh darn...

I almost feel like watching this just to see how horrified I would really be, considering that I think shows like Girls Bravo are an abomination to mankind, and it certainly looks like this is gunning to be that type of show.
