I loved this first episode! I think the music and story are fantastic so far. Having not read the novels I can't compare, but so far I am hooked. Moreover the animation is fine. Even the great Miyazaki's first were far less than stunning visually. Not every one has a huge budget to employ the most talented artists for every show. It comes down to story, bottom line, for me at least. If you are looking for an action,"shoot-em-up, beat-em-up," packed anime go watch bleach or something and leave shows like these to people who enjoy a good story. The people who haven't seen it yet might read one's opinion and based on that article alone never watch a great anime. On a side note the Op and Ed most definately do not define a show. The story seems to be promising; it definately grows on you. The most enjoyable part for me was its youthful sense of adventure and justice that appeals to those that are young at heart. We'll just have to wait and see what happens next and hope it lives up to its suspense.

Take it with a grain of salt seeing as it is an opinion and to each his own. To those who haven't seen it at least give it a chance. :]

Cos the graphics are just not great enough for anyone to deal with this. Well, I kinda expected that most people will be interested in moe stuff. It's a pity though, since the graphics are good and this might be just the sleeper hit that most will ignore.
