So the lousy terrorists of CB are dying like flies and it’s about time the Spirit of Tomino stepped in to kill off the rotten sons of bitches. Nevertheless there has been plenty of weeping for the terrorist scum, clearly these people support terrorism that or melonpan… At any rate The Donald has gone to war and like any warlord Corner bought him self some piloting skills along with the legendary mobile armor he bought armed with his new World of Gundam account he was ready to go on his first raid. Of course being the dipshit that he his he joined the Alliance. Besides he had a thing for Night Elf chicks…

Don’t let that stop you from using him as a child fighter, after all those evil warmongering Africans do it all the time…

Your latest Wehrbeitrag (Defense Contribution- bastard child a concious decision to add to the CB manpower pool)
I think Patrick and Ali will come back, after all this is Sunrise and unless you see a corpse or have a long drawn out death scene there is always a chance some one might rise from the dead, just like Mwu and his smashed helmet. I really think that they made mistake by having Ali and Patrick MIA. Ali was a much more fun antagonist than corner and Ali could have easily beaten the shit out the Kurdi Kid and Lassie. Still I really liked how Oberstleutnant Sergei and Oberst Katie came to the right decision in wanting to retreat. It was also sweet to see that Katie was relieved to have her idiot back as well. Though I have to appreciate how tactically sound it was to go for the vulnerable carrier rather than the Gundams. Now that there is no carrier I hope CB will take a long time to recover for their half assed operation. Sadly Patrick ended up MIA as a result of Tieria. I really think that Hal is the only real pilot left in CB after that fourth rate marksman fell to the Wrath of Ali. I cannot help but wonder what the point was in even developing the UN guys if all their only purpose was essentially be cannon fodder for CB and their infinite upgrades. Heck at this point I sort of wished they had just come clean and had mobile dolls again.

Wow vowels is showing more tactical reasoning that Sumeragi’s Melonpan.

Why? You can’t possibly lose…
I still think that Sumeragi should just go suck Billy’s nuts at this point. Sure she slapped Tieria for giving Setsuna a thrashing, but she did not even slap Feldt for crying. Clearly this botch Sumeragi is a sexist whore. The wise decision would have been to retreat given how she only had one unit at 100% health. Nevertheless Tieiria takes command once again and forces an operation that did not even have to take place. Sumeragi also failed to abandon ship when it became clear that the Ptolemy was the primary target. I can’t believe that she kept the container attached rather than going independent to cover her carrier’s retreat. She basically fought a battle with what essentially was a parked aircraft rather than take off and use her maneuverability to bring her guns to bear the moment she got on board. Well if it weren’t for her the unknown hero would not have killed that fucker Tearsy Lichty and that coward Christina.

Oh, but she gets to cry…sexist bitch.

Don’t forget Santa, the Easter Bunny, and Gundam Jesus.
I also find their last minute development of the bridge crew laughable and disgustingly lazy. I do not think any one really buys that Christine was actually in love with Lichty and even it if she was it took a fucking an Hero to force her to like a non bishie. It just seemed so forced to have them try and hurry up their friendship building right before they are to die at the hands of an unknown hero. As for the sad history, old Tearsy was fucking Bionic Commando and he just sat there playing helmsman rather than use his cybernetic strength to lend weight to the war effort. What a yellow bellied coward. Also were we supposed to sympathize with how Christine ran away from home because her memories were bad, she hasn’t written home in fifty yonks and for development she wants Feldt to change clothes more regularly. At least she did not end up in a brothel only to be picked up by a blond loli-con who stuck her in a mobile armor. Funny how she has not changed her own clothing much at all; yet has the gall to tell Feldt what to wear. Even Ms. Wang is wearing the same old dress.

Welcome back Hal we have missed you, Al’s being a n00b and can’t fight without hacking maybe you can help?

Oh thank goodness for a second there I though it was Char Quattro Bajeena.
As for the whole death scene I just found myself smiling and laughing with glee and I felt a bit curious as to when decompression would have shut them up. Seriously, I loved every moment of their long boring monologue because it was just so ridiculous how two dying people have this much strength to fucking fap their gobs and spew words that hardly move emotions. Still melonpan is melonpan. Clearly many here today can mourn the loss of melonpan despite the fact that it was attached to an anorexic bitch that was prone to shitting in her pants at the first sign of trouble. I still remember how she cowered behind her super shield and I still hate her for it melonpan be damned. Still Feldt crying her idiot heart out and watching all of CB weep over their long overdue losses to be music to my ears. I firmly believe that the only good terrorist is a dead terrorist and the only thing better is a dying terrorist who tells you where to find his mates.

Then I entered a brothel and…

Veda was a blond dude with a mask who wanted me to be his mum. He made me pilot a Mobile Armor for…
I wonder if we are really going to care about this series in 6 months time seeing as how they pretty much made Aker irrelevant and pretty much made the UN characters little better than cannon fodder who increasingly only seem to be able to grasp defeat from the jaws of victory. I still love the UN blokes, but they do deserve a victory now and then. Heck the way this has been going the Meisters make the Gundam Wing team look like hey had a really hard time. Its not that the UN is incompetent but rather that those fucking terrorists get the good guy label and upgrades out the ass. So Feldt is going to live and be older and more emo as befits a Gundam pilot in the 21st century. I just hope she looks hawt enough to make otaku blind to her stupidity and idiot writing of letters to the dead. I bet the bitch writes to Santa wondering why she only ever gets a big lump of nothing for Christmas. I bet Setsuna is going to find himself miraculously back in Mariana’s lap. I dearly want Sumeragi to die along with Ian since the former is a lousy commander who failed to improve despite her epic fuck up while under the Union and the latter just for the lulz because I don’t think of him as any way likable.

You mean the last lifeboat…

Yes please just stand in front of the gun…
I just hope that when the second part starts that Aker is going to have some use and Ali and Patrick come back as a masked team mates. I suspect that Saji is fast on his way to being Shin MkII unless Sunrise conveniently brushes him aside. I Hope Oberst Katie, Leutnant Soma, and Oberstleutnant Sergei come back and more victorious next time. Ah well all I can hope now is that Corner fucks up Lassie since Setsuna looks like he’s going to pull an Exia victory out of his ass.

Hola.

Good Night Sweet Terrorist.

Oh Noes! The meth lab has been hit!

Let me guess by Terrorists.

Yes including the crotch.

But you know that little Lichty is always hard and that it is upgradeable. In fact the length, girth, and vibrator mods have already been installed…

You mean vibrator.

And all it took to get this bitch to put out was an Hero.

And you wonder why Feldt never liked the outfits you picked for her…

WTF all Lichty gets is a hug?! How about some oral ***.

Sure how about starting a soup kitchen next time bitch.

Two fans of Little Lichty, and they worked so hard to get those mods too.

Oh fuck, it looks like Corner is going to stick it in after all…

rieuzedx added these pithy words on Mar 27 08 at 10:10 amNow if only that pseudo-pissed-looking-I-am-such-a-sorry-emo-kid dies, I would actually start watching that series past episode 2, instead of only enjoying your awesome hate posts.
But then again, that would probably too much to hope for.
Versus added these pithy words on Mar 27 08 at 11:04 amThe Sumeragislap: 300 times less effective than the Brightslap.
IKnight added these pithy words on Mar 27 08 at 11:12 amI really like the leaderboard, so that I can keep track of everyone. Ali cannot possibly be dead because we need to have an awesome showdown where he faces the unstoppable combination of Setsuna + Haro. I’m calling Setsuna + Haro to be the ultimate trump card at the end of Gundam 00.
I like that you pointed out that the assault container was the only lifeboat. That seemed really shady to me when I was watching it, but I guess Sumeragi is not as bad a tactician as I thought she was.
Speaking of which, what is Sumeragi going to do now?

Thanks comrade, I expected this post to go live this evening so I failed to do a proper check before hand. Thanks.
@rieuzedx
Noe has no need for these bad tears of emo terrorists they are not beautiful enough.
@Versus
Yeah all we can hope for is the second coming of Ali to but that brat back in his place.
@IKnight
Sumeragi Slap - Over 9000 times less powerful that the Katie Punch.
@Kabitzin
Thanks. Ali shall return.
It was a tactical failure IMO. She kept the life boat docked to the carrier thus limiting her arcs of fire and did not even use the full spread of GN Missiles. One has to wonder what Lichty and Chris could have done on an unarmed cap ship that had almost no engine power…still if her goal was to save Sumeragi, Mission Accomplished. In fact she deserves a banner for that too… ![]()
Dammit Crusader. I usually rage silently at your hate-filled posts (I actually enjoy the show) but you actually made me crack a smile at the “Veda was a blond dude with a mask who wanted me to be his mum. He made me pilot a Mobile Armor for…” line. Ah who am I kidding. I lol’d. You’re pretty knowledgeable about Gundam to pull that reference out.
Amuro1X added these pithy words on Mar 28 08 at 7:59 amSo…Sumeragi’s a “sexist whore” for slapping Tieria because he was indispensable to the defense of Ptolemy and getting him out of his immature behaviour at that time? I see~
And you call that poor attempt at development? Geez, can’t the crew act like humans for once instead of tools being used by CB and manipulated by VEDA? So everyone’s going to just clam up or mutter ‘we’re going to die, oh sh**’, get all tensed up, create a depressing atmosphere and not make their own past known to at least a few people, since they realise they might not be able to make it out alive?
If you still can’t understand, use something called ‘Common Sense’.
Anyway, just to prove I’m not here to bash, I’d say your gripes about the scene for Lichty and Christina are valid, because it was a little too drawn out, and Moreno’s death was…a little WTF, I guess. we don’t see him around for even a minute, and you have Ian sprouting some shounen-ish line. Bad move, Mr. Director.
Aside from that, I see you love indulging in making yourself look like someone obssessed with sexual references AGAIN, not that I’m one to advise you to stop, since it looks like a addiction to me right now. Huzzah for tasteless jokes.
Anyway, for some senseless humor, I’d most definitely recommend your blog posts, but frankly, it fails as a blog meant to describe the episodes themselves, because they are all filled up with your own personal opinions and jibes at the series and the characters. I don’t believe we need anymore of that, thank you. How about making some intelligent posts for a change?
If you’re wondering why some people continue to criticise your posts, get this: It’s the same reason as why you’re watching Gundam 00, or at least the impression that you ‘watch to bash/make fun of/criticise’.
Good day.
O.D added these pithy words on Mar 28 08 at 9:50 amIan’s line about Moreno did seem a bit strange, as we never even saw the two interact, but in the 00F manga, you actually find out that they go way back to the days when the 2nd Gen Gundams were being tested. They even worked with Feldt’s parents. In that context, it makes way more sense.
As for Christina and Lichty, Crusader’s somewhat irrational hate for them aside, they weren’t as underdeveloped as a lot of people say. Chris in particular had a very close relationship with Feldt, and even though Feldt was quite at first, she did open up near the end thanks to Lockon and Chris. In that sense, Christina served a purpose in supporting and developing the characters around her. The one question that always seems to bug me the most is “what purpose did X character serve?’ It’s not like everyone has to have some convoluted tie in to the overall plot like in Seed. She was just a normal girl working for CB. Lichty’s condition came out of left field, but his interest in Christina was around the entire series, so no one can say it was random he’d at least try to protect her. And I honestly don’t think they were trying to make us believe they died ‘in love’. In fact, Lichty died happily knowing that he was finally acknowledged.
Amuro1X added these pithy words on Mar 28 08 at 10:15 am@O.D
Sumeragi slapped one guy for crying but gave Feldt free reign to cry, this tome is bad leadership because Sumeragi is only selectively punishing certain members of her crew while giving others a free pass. I think it was totally unfair of her not to slap Feldt and take command of her crew as a real captain ought to. Instead she just slaps Tieria for making the correct assessment. After all what did Setsuna accomplish while he was down there? Nena got away and Ali escaped to kill Lockon. Tell me how Setsuna was fucking vindicated in going off to dick around. What tactical benefit was there in his going off to find himself? If there was a significant tactical benefit in his going I certainly do not see it, care to enlighten me since you seem to have all the answers? I have seen how favoritism can ruin unit cohesion and that right there was a prime example of how COs fuck up their own units by playing favorites.
Perhaps the Sumeragi Slap was not sexist but it certainly was favoritism on her part to only punish one guy, and forgive Setsuna’s contemptible little foray for nothing on Earth.
You would have me believe that in all that time since they have been together that they only decided now to talk to one another? Even if there is a code of secrecy in force it has not been respected given how Feldt told Lockon about her parents and how Lockon went on about his family. I found that their little bonding ceremony was rushed and in all honesty more than a little late. They gave Lichty and Christina a LONG death scene and they wanted us to sympathize. I think that had we gotten to know them better there would be more sympathy for the characters rather than the lost melonpan. I doubt much of the audience actually really knew the bastards, but it hardly matters now that they are dead and their blood and purple fluid now stain the stars as befits such arrogant terrorists.
We hardly see Ian bond with anyone, but then all of a sudden he has a special relationship with Lichty that never really came into play before. I never set myself up as one to not voice my displeasure at the turn of events but sure you want an intelligent post on how tactically inept these bastards are sure. Though please bring your own superb tactician hat to the party.
They did not have to make Lichty a cyborg, and because he was I cannot help but wonder if he could have been more useful as a free agent who broke into bases to blow them up. Since he was a cyborg it stands to reason they could have made him stronger and more durable than the average man. Now that he is not fully organic I am sure there were a spate of mechanical dildo fan arts starring the recently deceased. What they did was basically spawn a good number of robo raped Chris doujins. They I hardly felt sorry for his need to become part machine, I am sure we were supposed to feel sorry. However according to Rule 34 this is going to be more fap fodder than tear jerker.
The thing I do not get on your part for all your “Intelligence” touting is how you can buy into Sumeragi as a good captain. I have served under good officers and bad officers and judging by what she does Sumeragi is captain in name only. She does not give orders, she is merely a glorified babysitter for the meisters given how many times Tieria and Setsuna have forced operations that netted no tangible benefits I can hardly see how Sumeragi has any sense at all.
I remember when Gundam actually had a smattering of tactics and grand strategy. Bright Noa, Char, and General Revil. I cannot help but think that Gundam 00 is less than what it could be and that these terrorists are not the heirs to that legacy. What became of the political intrigue? What happened to having useful mass production suits? You claim I need common sense like some accomplished war hero, but tell me then how was remaining docked to the crippled carrier to fire the assault container’s gun a good example of common sense? The way I see it they should have taken off immediately so that they could use maneuver to bring firepower to bear if they had done that the chance of a blind spot would have been significantly lessened. However you seem to think that it was a brilliant strategy, so tell me how precisely was it brilliant?
I think I have every right to voice an opinion if you don’t want to read then don’t I have never supported the terrorists and unlike you I do not wish to give them aid or comfort like you deign to do. Given that this was a CB centric ep you certainly came to the wrong place if sympathy for terrorists is what you are looking for. Just like how you are entitled to your opinion I am entitled to mine. You seem to presume that your opinion is some how right, and mine is wrong. However comrade there is no right or wrong oinion its just that personal and you do not have to agree with me. You like the terrorist in this show I hate them. they fight not a reasonable goal they fight for a dystopia where they are the military junta that enforces the peace. They are not going for grassroots. They are going for self flattery, that is why I can never like them. You have every right to be sympathetic to their cause, but I remain opposed and that will never change.
@Amuro1X
Lichty’s interest in Chris was plain, however her acknowledgment of him seems less than genuine since it required a dying Lichty. Throughout the show no one has dithered in love as much as Chris. She was vain and cowardly, she chose men based on looks. Remember how she was rather interested in Al, now where is that affection? I think Chris is just another manipulative and scheming bitch who just says nice tings without really meaning them. Maybe she did turn a new leaf when she was killed by shrapnel, but I still believe she is burning in anime hell for the sin of lust. If Christina was just some ordinary douche bag, why the long death scene? Heck Patrick showed more development than they did and all he got was “eh?” we at least know what was important in his life.
So Lichty died knowing that Chris was sorry, if that is how much he values his life then so be it. I still think th e price of acknowledgment was ridiculously high.
Crusader added these pithy words on Mar 28 08 at 2:58 pmHeh, I don’t know where you’re looking, but I’ve actually found a lot of good Chris/Lichty fan art after episode 24, the kind that neither involves robotic dildos or rape with said dildos. I’m not denying it’s out there (i have seen 1 so far, but just 1), but I think you’re exaggerating again.
“So Lichty died knowing that Chris was sorry, if that is how much he values his life then so be it. I still think the price of acknowledgment was ridiculously high.”
Dude, he was going to die regardless of whether he jumped in front of her or not. At least he tried to save her, and he died thinking he did just that. The kicker was that she died anyway. His “sacrifice” was in vain. It was intentional on the part of the director. Say what you will about Christina, but I didn’t think she was as bad as you make her out to be. I don’t think she really had a thing for Al at all. That was more a thing where over eager fans jumped at the chance of any kind of relationship potential. She did show interest in Johan, until he proved that he and his siblings were crazy. Her rejection of Lichty throughout the show never seemed outright, but rather like playful hard to get. Anyway, whatever you think, their death scene looked amazing, and it was well done.
As for Patrick, it’s kind of a Spoiler but
.
.
.
.
Official materials list both Patrick and Ali as MIA. Why is this significant? because Lockon and the other CB members are outright listed as KIA.
Anyway, even if Patrick did die, I think the “eh?” would have been the absolutely perfect way to kill him off. I mean, Patrick has no skill whatsoever and he honestly has survived this entire time on pure luck. Not to mention he was the character with the largest mouth in the entire show. The “eh?” was like the perfect realization of “oh, my luck ran out.” I found it fitting. As for Ali, I never really doubted he survived. He’ll be back eventually.
Also, about Sumeragi slapping Tieria, he was actively ‘attacking’ another crew member. What he was doing was beyond crying, especially when they were on alert. Feldt’s crying wasn’t harming anyone. I think your making a big deal out of nothing.
Amuro1X added these pithy words on Mar 28 08 at 4:45 pm@Amuro1X
I think you grossly underestimate the depravity of the internet and Rule 34. The Internet is scarier than you realize. Besides once is already more than enough, and I honestly believe that since Lichty was so forgettable that he will be known for having a bionic member rather than being a good helmsman or anything else. It was so unexpected and not even hinted at that it felt disingenuous as they could have but never did hint at his need to maintain his bionics.
I have no love for cowards, and Christina was a coward. I will never sympathize with a coward and will always celebrate the death of one a a glorious occasion. I found it uproariously entertaining to hear her dying words. So many wonderful words that would make for a great epitaph…
If they were on high alert Feldt and the crew seemed awfully relaxed enough to banter and for Christina to abandon her console while Feldt wrote her letter. That is not “high alert” in my book. I had hopped that the Sumeragi slap would mean that she had turned a new leaf, she failed and moments later gives in to another ill conceived operation. There was no need to force a battle, the correct decision would have been to disengage. Both sides were heavily mauled and fighting with less than 100% combat strength is never an ideal situation.
Patrick is the kind of guy who is brash and young and joined the military during peace time because he liked big guns. Yes he is less than skilled, but honestly most veterans rather be lucky than good. Luck is still a part of war, and being lucky can sometimes make all the difference in the world. After all the Germans were the most skilled soldiers in the world at the time of WWII, but they were most unlucky to have a corporal telling their generals what to do.
Crusader added these pithy words on Mar 28 08 at 6:06 pmMy friend, I think you grossly misunderstand my understanding of the internet. But let’s not get into my personal surfing habits, and I won’t get into yours. Agreed?
Anyhow, regardless of high alert or not, Tieria had better things to be doing. But i guess I’ll leave it at that.
As for Patrick, luck is sure a good thing, but when it runs out and you don’t have anything to fall back on, you’re pretty much done, which is why I loved that scene so much. It was like a sudden realization mixed with disbelief. Perfect.
Amuro1X added these pithy words on Mar 28 08 at 8:29 pmThis is a series where I strongly support the antagonists. Thank you Crusader for your posts, you echo my exact sentiments except with more eloquence. Cheers
Tomino added these pithy words on Mar 28 08 at 11:54 pmApparently you still have something stuck in your ass. Where was it explicitly stated that I thought my opinion to be right?
I wouldn’t say Setsuna was vindicated, since he’s rushing off could ultimately lead to Lockon’s demise. However, considering how Sumeragi seems to ‘bend over to Tieria’ for you, your statement about her showing favoritism seem a little ambiguous. What would slapping Feldt accomplish in comparison to making sure the main fighting force break it up among themselves before Setsuna starts to lose it as well? Tieria’s not the only one affected by Lockon’s death, you know.
I can take back my comment about common sense, since apparently you can bash others yet be unable to take a joke. I’m not pushing the fact that Sumeragi was a “brilliant” tactician, or that she’s a great captain. Your comments are testimony of a terribly biased hatred, admittingly well-justified, I’d say. However, you seem to assume too much about others, something I think I never did (or at least show in my earlier comment). Either you’re too eager to state your own knowledge of the real world for military tactics and the like, or you’re simply too blindsided by them to take a necessary pinch of salt. WAKE UP, CALM DOWN. This is not reality, so don’t get so agitated over proving your point.
I don’t necessarily like the terrorists in this sense, but things are interesting in that we take a real third-person POV, being able to see things on both sides (except to your chagrin, that we see more of these terrorists). Neither am I specifically against the three blocs. Terrorism should never exist in the first place, of course, and the bonds we see being formed amongst them might even seem like the worst joke for a real terrorist. That being said, take the sodium.
Damn. Looks like my first comment got stomped by the spam filter sometime yesterday afternoon.
The pure naivete required to devise and implement such a breath-takingly stupid “intervention” plan precludes me from ever sympathizing with CB.
