As a fellow novel reader, I know what you mean about the change brought about by Chloe’s addition to the story. I still really wonder what kind of role they plan to use her for. I’m hoping that from here on out they’ll stick closely to the novel’s story, which is nothing short of fantastic.

That said, I still feel that Horo was well introduced in this episode, and that her mischievous “all bark and no bite” attitude still comes through just fine.At this point it’s Lawrence’s character that I’m more concerned about. Again, I still have very high hopes, but he definitely has kind of a different feel to him, much “lighter” of a character, I guess.

Ah well, time will tell how this show will turn out. I’m on the optimistic side, for the time being.

As I’ve pointed out elsewhere, complete nudity is less arousing than judicious concealment, though I’m no naturist. If you’re male you should be able to empirically test this yourself, with the aid of Google.

The anime? Oh, yeah, seemed ok for a first episode. As you all say, best to reserve judgement. Would be interesting to read the novel.

Lawrence was more ‘affected’ by Chloe lying in the hay than the naked Horo, I think It’s because of him first impression that the latter is a human possessed by a demon.

Who among us here will ‘get it on!’ with a possessed human female? >.
