Yawaraka Sangokushi Tsukisase!! Ryofuko-chan (OAV) – “What in the world did I just watch?”

snapshot20080101125634.jpg

nullI remember I mention once in the blog that I will no longer watch anything that I have no clue about (the last being Angel Feather, a bloody yaoi anime that got me all sick). For some reason, I never have the resolve to control my appetite to try something unknown, and the fact that the splash page of this OVA are some rather cute looking lolis has a good draw to it.

Never will I realize how scary an experience it is for me if you even turn on your brain a second in this anime OAV.

The concept is a sub story of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms like Ikkitousen, but concentrates on Lu Bu, considered to be the most strongest warriors in that era. By some freak accident, Lu Bun on his hunt of the dragon, came to Earth and transfered into a loli body (Ryofuko-chan). Along with Chin Kyuu (who turned into a delicious green hair loli) and Kou Jun (a plushie), they try to find a way back into their manly bodies while studying in an elementary school.

The first part had the lolis trying to get to school in time, while Ryofuko is distracted by the smell of food. As they reached the shipyard, they found Cao Cao and Xiahou Dun and had some simple talk. After that, they traveled using a ship so that they can get wet and have more ecchi scenes with wet clothing.

The second part of the episode is the dreaded body examination that all elementary students have to do every year to check their height, weight and other random things. We have the villain squirting some acidic liquid onto the huge F-cup female teacher, causing her to lose her clothes conveniently. Eventually, Ryofuko transformed like a mahou loli into Lu Bu (with the naked transformation of course) and defeated the opponent.

Yes, it is that ridiculous, and it has such a huge number of ecchi loli scenes that might make Kodoma no Jikan seem decent. The thing is that I have been a firm supporter of a more historical representation of ROTK. When a series come and butcher the hell out of the series I like, I tend to go totally bullocks even if it is really nothing close to ROTK at all and simply used it for humor sake. Like now.

If anything, the show has such a huge amount of undress from the lolis (no frontal at least) that makes it rather disturbing for viewing already. One thing though is that all the lolis are pretty cute and they are nice to look at, especially when there is a green hair loli as one of the main characters. Still, I really find it hard to recommend it to anyone. When the subbed version of this series comes out, watch it only if you are fine with loli ecchi scenes or you want to watch some really brainless slapstick comedy.

If not, stay away.

Wow, this sounds even more perverted than Koharubiyori. AWESOME.

@Nosgoroth: Just be careful that you know what you are watching and you will be fine.

@Zeroblade: Well, I actually enjoy Koharu Biyori because it is quite funny. When the ecchi scenes are about lolis, it makes it extremely disturbing to watch, so ya. Yes, it can be perverted, very much worse so.

OK, so this post wasn’t disturbing in the least.

Translation: if you’re gay, don’t watch it.

Arg! Am I watching lolis crossdressing and all that? I don’t really like ecchi (And because I’m a girl)but I think that if the story is more serious enough it might work. I’ll be posting a review of the Tales of Symphonia OAV after I get things done in school (Still wining that my legs and throat continue to hurt after a long day in school doing school activies)

Since when The Return of the King is ever considered “historical”? [/joke]

So now, are you expecting me to leave my brain out behind me, as I watched this mangled piece of horror?

I’m very familiar with RTK, but I always get confused when people are talking about Yu fei or Cao Cao, because I’ve read it in Korean. Yu fei used to be Yu Bi, and Cao Cao used to be Jo Jo (yes, read like mojo jojo in powerpuff girls). I’m guessing Lu Bun is the guy who killed his mentor twice (first for power, second for the girl) and later got his head chopped off by Cao Cao, simply because you labeled him as the strongest warrior in RTK. He’s called Yu Po in Korean :(

Sigh I knew I should have read it in English instead…
