@DKellis

Yeah I'm glad the subs worked out in the end though, recently Spoonsubs partnered up with the group that did the first 9 episodes and released the final three. The group that did 10-12 originally was kinda mediocre in comparison. And the face style is certainly different, adds even more to the unique feel of the show.

@0rion

Yeah Asa is another amazing genki moe character, and she even has green hair to boot. She isn't quite as genki as Miyako (she does get sick) and not quite as crazy, but still fun to watch.

Oh man, you just highlighted everything that was amazing and hilarious about Hidamari Sketch - Miyako, Yuuno tripping balls, and "oh god yoshinoya is hot". xD

Man, I love this show.

And yes, Miyako is the perfect example of genki done right. Kind of like Asa-sempai. :D

Hidamari Sketch was one of my favourites of 2007. (Actually, I wasn't sure if it was 2007 or 2006, but I know I loved it.) It's a fun, happy little show that is pretty much the characters having fun, and the producers having fun. I remember being somewhat worried that the subs came out in fits and starts, always apparently on the brink of cancellation, since there was no way I could have understood much of the show without some explanations.

Also, I like the puni-puni wide face art style.
