The "tragedy" behind Maya and how the people who become her friends die horrible deaths was a morbidly humorous theme to me. The plot was simple (almost ridiculously so), but it was fairly entertaining and the way they chose to present the "battle system" was enjoyable to me as I happen to like it (being a fan of CRPGs). It won't win awards anytime soon, but in my opinion, it is definitely not "The Suck".
