Yeah, only Lockon, Shirin, and Soma are worth caring about. Still on the fence about Graham. You know the Ali al Serges is the 2307’s Osama Bin Laden all they need to do is add a Turban and a camo-jacket…afterall since when did the Japanese stop racial profiling for gaijin trouble makers who steal their jobs and commit crimes?

Truly the slapping was epic.

We must have had different translations for the episode, because I didn’t pick up on Ali Serges being behind the worldwide bombings at all. At first I thought, ‘oh damn the Big Three teamed up to pin random terrorist attacks on Team CB’, but the series’ determination that there should be one worldwide entity behind terrorist attacks across the globe reminded me of the simpleminded ambitions Sunrise had for the show.

Furthermore, I find it laughable that the four Gundam Meisters still think they’re the ‘good guys’ in reaction to the terrorist bombings. Revolutions cost blood, yet they act surprised. Again, I thought their first reaction would be, ‘the Big Three are conspiring against us by bombing their own people’; but their response, being ‘there is a second CB and we have to stop them because they’re playing naught’, was full of UGHH.

Lastly, what is up with the ‘lets see what everyone around the world thinks’ scene changes? They have these things at least once an episode where we see what the Big Three + their militaries + big breasted women + closet teenage stalking fag thinks about major world events. Yet, nobody cares. At least in Gundam Wing Treize Kusherenada (sp?) appeared once every few episodes. Perhaps that’s the problem behind this approach – we don’t care about any of these secondary or tertiary personalities that are standing behind the scenes.

Every Zeonic leader in the Gundam UC era, from First Gundam to Char’s Counterattack, had a unique, standout personality all of us could, for the most part, understand. Yet when it comes to Gundam00 international diplomacy (say that ten times fast) Foreign Policy Advisor Shirin seems to be the only professional that is identifiable firstly by her competency (whereas all these other jokers just appear to provide background information for what the Gundams are about to destroy a few minutes later). Perhaps its because Shirin also has big breasts.

Perhaps big breasts are meant to save the world.

Childhood memories are often a real killer for that kind of people. Look at Allelujah… and now Setsuna, probably we´ll learn that Lockon had his own problems as a kid, something with terrorism I guess…

and where are the battles? Grand battles, not just 5sec worth of fighting? It´s boring to watch oh new battle!! Woopie!!
