The battle was a joke, just lots of pretty fireworks and shiny stuff. So CB has destroyed lots of mobile suits and killed over 500, and the point was to get an unconditional surrender. Okay now what? Sumeragi is worse than I thought she worships Veda. Veda must be Skynet in disguise, I bet Veda’s solution to end all war is to kill all humans. After all did Moralia renounce war and submit to a CB occupation? I think not. All it ended up being was a nice tech demo to win a “war” in five hours. Congratulations, the AEU still gets to annex Moralia and gain the PMC as an ally. Really nary a factory was destroyed and they can always build more Enacts. Besides they only lost a whole lot of Hellions their soon to be retired MS. As for 527 some odd deaths I am sure that more than enough babies were pushed out in the AEU every hour to make up for it. Just because Japan has a low birth rate does not mean that the West follows suit. I doubt Catholicism has died out in 2307 since Ali was still talking of Allah. Not all men are as emo and useless as those in Japan Sunrise.

I applaud the terrorist activities master minded by Ali al Serges. He almost killed Saji and Lousise, damn was he close to getting rid of the useless characters. Louise grows more contemptible by the day, shopping is all she cares about. Really, does she buy the same outfit many times? She hasn’t changed clothes since episode 1 for bloody sake. Less stupid blond cameos please, and more Soma. All Soma got was less than a second. CB also gets more shady with the addition of Alejandro, what does he do? Is he Ms. Wang’s best customer? Honestly what the fuck does he do besides drink with underage women? Speaking of Ms. Wang she obviously is not a really good spy because Ali was able to sneak behind her back and pwn 100 people. I must say Ali kicks ass. He can get shit done and show how impotent CB can be.

Ah well next episode is going to be a Setsuna and Mariana dayto. Wow, what subtlety has Sunrise shown… No doubt Setsuna is going to point a gun at her over the course of the show. Honestly its not so much the age gap, but really Setsuna’s emo-boy role that kills it. I will never accept this couple, no I won’t accept it Shirin deserves her lesbian life partner Mariana more than emo-boy needs to screw his new sister/mother. Setsuna sucks so bad that Setsuna the kinslayer hardly sounds intimidating or ominous.

BREASTS!!! About Sumeragi, I thought at first she was supposed to be some sort of homage to Misato from EVA – but her ‘elitist’ style of living starkly contrasts with Misato’s beer chugging and skimpy outfits.
We must have had different translations for the episode, because I didn’t pick up on Ali Serges being behind the worldwide bombings at all. At first I thought, ‘oh damn the Big Three teamed up to pin random terrorist attacks on Team CB’, but the series’ determination that there should be one worldwide entity behind terrorist attacks across the globe reminded me of the simpleminded ambitions Sunrise had for the show.
Furthermore, I find it laughable that the four Gundam Meisters still think they’re the ‘good guys’ in reaction to the terrorist bombings. Revolutions cost blood, yet they act surprised. Again, I thought their first reaction would be, ‘the Big Three are conspiring against us by bombing their own people’; but their response, being ‘there is a second CB and we have to stop them because they’re playing naught’, was full of UGHH.
Lastly, what is up with the ‘lets see what everyone around the world thinks’ scene changes? They have these things at least once an episode where we see what the Big Three + their militaries + big breasted women + closet teenage stalking fag thinks about major world events. Yet, nobody cares. At least in Gundam Wing Treize Kusherenada (sp?) appeared once every few episodes. Perhaps that’s the problem behind this approach – we don’t care about any of these secondary or tertiary personalities that are standing behind the scenes.
Every Zeonic leader in the Gundam UC era, from First Gundam to Char’s Counterattack, had a unique, standout personality all of us could, for the most part, understand. Yet when it comes to Gundam00 international diplomacy (say that ten times fast) Foreign Policy Advisor Shirin seems to be the only professional that is identifiable firstly by her competency (whereas all these other jokers just appear to provide background information for what the Gundams are about to destroy a few minutes later). Perhaps its because Shirin also has big breasts.
