Gundam 00 – 04: Spreading the Gundam Gospel

snapshot20071030181027.jpg
Whoa you did not invest in big energy? Dorthy and Relena you both disappoint me. Let me guess you sold off your Nintendo stock after the announcement of the PSP too didn’t you?

I really wish that I could interrogate the Sunrise team and discern if they have any logic at all. So we open up in the Middle East or central Asia as Sunrise has willed the existence of another -stan. Its seems that these people don’t believe in check points and by Jove it seems that the Judean People’s Front is making Baghdad look like a bonfire. I demand that a corresponding gaggle of terrorist groups to be named if these bombing continue, and yes even the Popular People’s Front of Judea. Oh and the People’s Front of Judea…

What is the purpose of anime bloggers? What is our goal?

gunslinger-girl-wall.jpg
Were we too quick at times to slam slow starting series such as the classic Gunslinger girl?

This post is by full part inspired by Jeff Lawson, who has managed to strike a chord in me on the very realistic narration of “giving anime a chance”. This entry is not meant to be structured since I feel that I have somewhat forgotten the roots of why I actually started blogging: To spread the love of anime to fans all around the world. As much as that sounds really silly and idealistic, I started off with that idea, and decided to prowl on every single opportunity to spread love to series that are left untouched by the general public.

However, after a while, I seem to lose my way in terms of merely trying to be different and create some silly hatred of things that I dislike. From the “read more” click, do not expect a very structured comment about what I believe should be the purpose of anime bloggers and why I feel that way. Nevertheless, these are my thoughts after reading what Jeff said. Give anime a chance.

An interview with the Impz – I do not bite lolis…

sagubooru-345352bd4c7694201ce365471ed5d176.jpg

For those who have not noticed, Sea Slug Team, one of the brilliant veteran anime blog that inspired Impz to start blogging interviewed me as their editorial piece. I must say that it is definitely a honor to be interviewed by a blog that I have long admired since it is always trying to improve. Who ever said old means boring?

I hope you can find out a bit more about the cool and wonderful Impz if you are interested. Save your vomit til the end of the show.

Thanks!

Autumn 2007 Season: Top 12 ED’s

musicsheet.jpg

Well, since we had a Top 12 OP post, the logical step was doing the Top 12 ED version. Endings are harder to analyze since they usually involve slower songs, making most of them similar to each other. Also since it involves the show credit roll, the animations sometimes is crappier. But this season is surprisingly good, which made me harder to compare ED’s which have very few defects.

That poll analysis: When is your next trip to buy anime merchandise?

graphsforlastpoll.jpg

We all know when poll participants say that their next trip to buy anime merchandise is soon, it means “ya, I cannot say I want to spend a single cent on merchandise, but I want to be seen as supportive”. Hence, it results in 142 people being the majority of the pack. 31 of you will have your friends, fathers and family dead due to Lupus’s prophesy that anime merchandise kill your family.

For the 130 of you, thank you for being honest. I have to add that I am one of the voters in this category. It’s always a good thing to be honest in life, and being a ARGGH is not that bad after all. You have fun going ARR ARRR ARRRR. 43 of you require immediate attention to the AVPAS (Anime Vile Purchasing Addictive Society). Please call 1800-NOARMPIT right now to get your advice on how to get rid of your addiction in order to stop servicing more stupid shows like this.

Lastly, for the 55 people who chose “anime merchandise kills your father”, lay off the crack for a while. It will be good for you.

P/s: New poll on DANGO!

Ghost Hound Episode 2 – “Out of body experiences…”

ghosthound2cover.jpg

Well, it took me quite a while before I finished this episode due to the massive backlog brought by tons of work. However, the second episode seems to provide a foundation on the mystery, as well as introducing the possible key characters of this series. The events are slowly explaining themselves, and the connection of Ogami and Tarou were getting close. Why is Tarou unable to remember anything of the past?

Who is behind the kidnapping? Who is the mastermind? Why do Tarou experience out of body experiences?
