T.H.A.T Anime Blog – One year older, one year dumber, one year contest!
Yes, on this day, this time, THAT Anime Blog is finally one year old. Rather than thanking the readers, which is definitely paramount to how much love the blog gets, I prefer to thank the quiet writers (and some not so quiet people) of the blog. I am of course very glad that the blog somehow survived for such a long time, and we are already at the point where we are getting so old, we might soon be rusty.
Hence, we prefer to hear you, lurkers and commentators alike. Tell us what you want to see more in the blog, or perhaps things that we have done well during the past year. To add on to Crusader’s contest, I am also adding a commission-based post card to the contest. Yes, if you are wondering, it is a Tsuruya postcard that is hand drawn so do join up with his contest for the additional prize. The job is simple yet tough: identify all those bloody tanks in the picture.. It is not enough since the evil Jihader wants more.
Instead you are going to have to dig deeper into why your favorite AFV is the best or your most hated AFV is the worst, like going into the quality of the average crew. Perhaps you can go so far as to cite ease or difficulty of manufacture or overall wartime performance in light of doctrine, tactics, etc. Surprise me with your passion and knowledge for your favorite or most hated AFV.
Of course, he will be making your effort worthwhile. From the mouth of Crusader (if you went to the TL;DR part).
First prize will be 5 manga volumes of the winners choice. I will bump it up to a maximum of seven volumes if you exceed my expectations. However if you hate manga with a passion a substitute prize of the winner’s choice worth roughly 50 USD (70 USD if you go above and beyond) will be provided… I am also paying for shipping, international if need be.

For the character portrait, you can add in any number of other specifications, such as how she’s dressed, what situation she’s in etc. However, whether I do everything you ask is up to my personal discretion. If you request a 4koma, it’s up to you to come up with the joke.
This is a free gift, press too hard on the specs. and you can expect me to spend 5 minutes doing it in paint. You probably don’t want that.
How to enter into this ‘competition’? Just leave a comment with your e-mail (please don’t leave it in the body of the comment, that’s just asking for horse porn). That’s all you need to do. In here or in any other posts between now and next Friday, and you’ll be eligible for one of my awesome drawings or 4koma. The winner will be notified by e-mail.
