@ Bob: We don't provide links here, and in any case, I don't really know since I don't watch a lot of English subs. Anyway the anime has been licensed, so it will probably be harder to find subs for it.

@Hemisphere: Wow, so many tidbits from the game. :) However, I don't think the Big Fat Ugly Demon that Dante sent back is just any run-of-the-mill demon. I think the anime says Belford (although I could be wrong), which is no small demon. And yet he still sent it back as easy as if he's stuffing clothes back into the closet.

While I know he's strong, I wonder how it would work in an anime when nothing can beat him. Of course, it's too soon to say that, considering that we still have 9 episodes to go. :)

I didn't know Dante has a brother... well, that's something to look forward to in future episodes, if he does appear. It is interesting, as you say, the way Dante feels about his parents. But it's less impact for me as it is something completely new and so not particularly expected or surprised.

>>It’s awesome as a game, but he’s kinda overpowered as an anime character. And he hasn’t even transformed yet.

You have to realize that, in the game, we're fighting the minions of demon lords. Of course they'll be much stronger than the average demon. The ones featured in the anime, however, are just run-of-the-mill demons. They're so weak that Dante can easily take them down with just simple shots and slashes.

Also, it's a known fact that Dante never misses with his guns. Nor does he need to reload them. It's been that way since DMC1.

If anything, I liked this episode because it shows how Dante finally accepts the union between his mother and his father. In the game, he used to hate his father's guts, because he felt that Sparda left both him, his brother and his mother, Eva, alone. Now we're shown that he doesn't think that way.

@ Impz: Episode 3 IS better than episode 1 and 2. And despite my sarcasm and its rather lame plot, the story telling itself is still worth watching. Not spectacular, of course. But it's still pretty interesting eye candy.

@ laboosh: LOL I'm glad my writing works in the correct way for someone! I was trying to be funny but not exactly discouraging (like to Impz) to new watchers. Guess that didn't work too well... I'm beginning to understand Dante's hotness, though. A bit, anyway.

@ alf: ADV has licensed the anime recently, but I don't know when exactly it will arrive to US shores.

@ Nekonron: Oh, he can transform? Now that's something to look forward to. I had a look-see at wiki, and realized that the game has a very good basic of a storyline. It'll be sort of sad to see it wasted in the anime, if they don't follow it. But who knows, maybe the anime's storyline would be better. :D

@ DJ: I think so, it seems that most gamers don't like the anime. Still, I suspect anime Dante is as good looking and hot as game Dante. :D

Maybe when viewing this anime it helps having not played the game.

Because I have to agree that as a fan of the games (I am still excited that DMC 4 is no longer a PS3 exclusive as now we'll be able to play it on our 360, well if I can pry myself away from Naruto Rise of A Ninja that is! ^-^ )

The anime just leaves me feeling like there is something lacking.

I guess I can at least still drool over Dante though ^-^

Yeah I'm hoping it will continue to improve as well, although I never really put much hope into DMC as an anime. It's awesome as a game, but he's kinda overpowered as an anime character. And he hasn't even transformed yet.

Lol, I am so not watching this after the rather interesting summary provided. As much as I have adored DmC as a video game, the anime seems to be somewhat less enterprising and seems to be problematic. The first two episodes that I have watched did not impress me as well, but it does take quite a bit to.

@ Mia: Yeah, I am beginning to understand the reverence for him. :D

@ netnuke: I'm beginning to like it as well. Still, I wish they aren't going on the monster-of-the-week format. On the other hand, one of my favourite animes Vampire Princess Miyu does that monster-of-the-week thing for the first 15++ episodes, so maybe DMC can do it for 6 episodes and leave 6 episodes to explore a story arc. Here's to hoping.

@ Nekonron: That's good to know. I do want to see him having to struggle a little, but then it probably would be even more unlike the Dante in the games. :D Personally, I'm hoping episode 4 will improve on episode 3 even more...

In the game, Dante is usually portrayed as being able to take down hordes of enemies without really breaking a sweat. That's probably why he always seem to be able to take care of the demons effortlessly.

And yeah this is probably the best episode for DMC so far, although there's only 3 lol
