After Episode 8, a new goddess is found. In a series where three groups of fansubbers happily dropped this series after the first episode for more popular series, Hitohira simply goes from strength to strength. If any of the fansubbers have any foresight, this is just about one of the most quiet and understated shows of the spring season, compromising of interesting leads as well as a very competent (way above average shows) character development in which you root for the characters when they finally set up their deciding play in Episode 8.
I am not writing a summary for this episode because Hashihime is doing really good summaries for the show and it is a very comprehensive summary that will allow you to understand the episode, even if you are not a Japanese literate person like me.
Personally, I really enjoy it during the awakening of the new Mugi, as one that is confident and not shy to raise her voice to the stage. I am completely shocked, with my mouth wide open, when she came in with all barrels firing. With that, she is my new goddess in the spring season.
Worship her and give a chance to this wonderful show, please.
For those who are wondering what this is about, here’s a summary of it (I apologize for not asking Hashihime earlier to take his content).

Fansubbers are vain people.
All they want are lots of hits, seeders and leechers.
…Yeah, fansubbers (and anime watchers alike) are a vain and shallow lot.
…So what’s Hitohira about again?
DrmChsr0 added these pithy words on May 17 07 at 9:49 pmI’m still hoping that somebody will sub it. I loved the first episode, and I can’t wait to see the rest. And watching raws is no really an option considering my Japanese language skills…
elvyse added these pithy words on May 18 07 at 2:04 amIt looks intresting, there’s really no sub?
ZeusIrae added these pithy words on May 18 07 at 4:41 am@Drm: I posted a bit more to let you read it ^_^
@Elvyse: Hmm, I am hoping that it is possible to use hashihime’s summary to somewhat follow the series.
@Zeuslrae: Not at all sadly ![]()
You can have Mugi. Nono forever!
But yeah, really sad that no one is subbing this series, instead we have like 3 or 4 groups doing the same random series.
Deathy added these pithy words on May 18 07 at 7:47 am@Deathy: OK, i will have my moe fix on Mugi, hehe, and abandon my wifey for it. Just don’t let her know it ok ^^ Honestly, in some way, Nono is a really cute senpai that is not honest enough.
Deathy, about the fansubbers, I think Drm sums it up ^^
Impz added these pithy words on May 18 07 at 8:01 amI was actually wondering about the fansub status on Hitohira. I was under the impression that someone was still subbing it, and so I was patiently waiting for the subs.
I wonder if it’s too late to grab the raws now. I liked the first episode, but haven’t watched any more, since, as mentioned, I was waiting for subs.
DKellis added these pithy words on May 18 07 at 9:19 amA series with Hikami-san, Yukino-san and Kawasumi-san is being ignored?! Why?! I don’t get this at all!
I should give my appreciation soon. –’
Bata-kun added these pithy words on May 18 07 at 7:20 pm@Dkellis: i think there is no one doing the series after a few of them went on a fury to cover the first episode. It is perhaps not too late to grab the raws now but some of the convos might be a bit too long for a non native speaker to understand.
@Bata: Oh, are they really good seiyuus? I have little knowledge of seiyuus and they must be very famous for you to note them
@drm: no problem ^+^
Impz added these pithy words on May 18 07 at 11:51 pm‘hitohira’ was a favorite of mine from the first. it dragged a bit in the beginning, but after ep5 the pace and story has gotten better and better. all the characters have backstory that makes sense and yuri tint is not overdone.
i look forward to how the play ends up. the drama also look really good to be coming from a high school drama club. any better and it would be unrealistic.
noblsheep added these pithy words on May 19 07 at 1:41 pmYeah, they’re really good seiyuu. I know someone that lo~ves Kawasumi-san to death. I think he wants to have a harem that includes her. Ha ha ha!
Bata-kun added these pithy words on May 19 07 at 6:20 pm@Noblesheep: The play seems to be rather normal until Mugi went completely into form. Trust me, episode 8 is definitely the best in the whole series for now. Just the last 2 minutes is worth watching.
@Bata: A harem with a seiyuu? okkkkkkkkkkkkk~
Impz added these pithy words on May 19 07 at 9:05 pmOk, now that Impz had praised the series, someone has to realise the quality of the show and finally start subbing. I have watched only the first episode, but damn, I liked it. And I refuse to watch raws, using a summary is nowhere near like real subs.
Santa added these pithy words on May 20 07 at 2:20 amUho! I actually work only two days of the week, one of those days being tomorrow! I’ll defintely watch this for sure!
Impz
Yes, I know. He sometimes scares me too.
Santa
I tell you. Impz can make any series seem like magic. =P

@Santa: I am perhaps the worst judgment in terms of whether an anime is good or bad. I do not pride myself to have much of a taste, actually
@Bata: LOL, you must be kidding when you say i make them seem like magic ^+^
Impz added these pithy words on May 21 07 at 1:52 amElvyse
Yay!
Impz
Oh wait. I was actually referring to my friend down south. Ha ha ha! =P
