@Rooney-sama: I would believe so actually. I have resisted all attempts to read the manga and will still do in order not to spoil myself on anything.

@Weirdo: that might be possible actually. If it can happen to them, these machines might be from another alternate universe. However, it is merely speculation ^+^

I wouldn't be surprised if the enemy was just another group of human kids rather creepy aliens.

this anime keeps getting better and better. ive read a fair bit of the manga, so watching the anime seems fresh since i can look at it at a different perspective. hopefully the anime stays true to the manga.

I too, cant wait for Chizu's turn hahaha

@Briar: I really don't think he's a psychopath, more like a child who simply follows his father's footsteps. A pity that his most honorable father is killed by him. It's an irony that one he considers to be the chosen one dies because of him.

@Sarah: I believe that the backstory is very important in order to sympathize or understand why they did a certain thing. I just watched episode 5 and it seems that kako is next.

@Kuroo: He is childish and spoiled. I do wonder what's going on :) but I will be writing the summary to be done tonight ^^

They have rearrange the order and put Kako's arc first(see ep. 5), so I assume it will get to Chizu's soon. *evil grin*

I consider it a good move to put Kako first since he wouldn't last long with his childish behavior after learning his fate.

All the backstory stuff is important because basically that is what the manga is made up of. We get a little backstory about each child and then their fight.

Kitoh manages to give us these children all from different backgrounds and circumstances however once they find out the truth the point is they're all equal. Death is equal for everyone. It also asks the question what do you do if you know your going to die? And what do you with the Zearth's powers when its your time to fight?

And if my memory serves me right I believe Daichii is next in line though only if they follow the manga pattern.

I personally thought this week's episode is slightly slow. Maybe because I didn't like Kodoka, and this is an episode that is very much centred around him. On the other hand, I did like the fact that they elaborated a lot on Kodoka's character.

Regarding the nature vs. nurture question, I think it's a lot more nature than nuture. Consider that Kodoka has an elder brother that is his exact opposite, who is a do-gooder and very kind and caring. They have the same genes (same set of parents, anyway), and they are most likely brought up in the same way. So why is it that Kodoka's elder brother turned out to be "good", and Kodoka turned out to be a sociopath? Essentially, I think it's because they have two different nature.

Moji is cool. He just went and took Kodoka's pulse and stated very bluntly (without emotional outburst) that he's dead. Even though there isn't a lot of screen time for most characters here, I like Moji more and more.

I did find it very sad that Kodoka killed his father, albeit accidentally. I can truly feel his pain, even if he's a sociopath.

I also hope there's more to the story than just dealing with the issue of dying-if-you-pilot-the-robot. It's a compelling plot thread, but it is still one issue. I just want more.

I personally prefer to die without knowing the truth. Sometimes, the truth is the most painful thing, especially when you cannot escape from it. What is that sheer feeling to be waiting for a death that will come soon and facing it right in front.

It's not something a normal person, mere mortals like us, can feel.

@Sara: Hmmm, I see, but I don't know what I got right or wrong. I guess I don't really want to know since Bokurano is quite the series where you wait and see whether your speculations are right or wrong. Nevertheless, I am glad that I am not going toward a totally wrong end, which is ermm usually the case, ahaha~

@Diedrupo: I personally felt that they are lucky to die without knowing the truth. I know that If I am stuck with the truth, I prefer not to know it so that I can do with conviction on whatever I want to do then dreading and fearing the turn in which I am going to die.

To know that you will die after driving Zearth is a very painful thought and it puts unneeded pressure onto the human psyche. I never want to feel that and for kids like them who has not yet seen the world, it's a very painful reality that they have to face.

Poor Waku and Kodaka. They died without knowing the truth about Zearth and the game. Or maybe that's a good thing for them.

I wont say details, but I must admit you got some good intuition and you should maybe continue with that line of thinking because you're actually close to some big details.
