I enjoyed this for the comedy. Some of the background aliens are hilarious. I found the magical girl theme was a bit tedious. It was about 40 seconds for Valkyrie's transformation scenes - at least when Hydra transforms she is quick about it ;-). Not sure if this qualifies as a spoiler, but just in case. The first series made some sense, but with the second series the premise is gone for Hydra to remain with her seal, or even on Earth. There are enough secondary characters for the show to shift focus and keep it interesting. The Cat Maid outing, (to the beach, not hot springs - sorry) was quite good. The downside of this is the show can become a bit disjointed, but it's a bit hard to progress the main theme of the show since the "romantic" protaganists can't do much else as they are. It's pretty standard anime fare for a character/situation to appear and then the story behind it to be slowly revealed throughout the series. Since u finished watching the first season, i recommend u watch the second season, i liked it better than the first since there seemed to actually be a story.
