@lemonsparkz: I do not exactly have the answer for it and a wiki search speaks nothing of it as well. I apologize.

@Blademaster: The novel can be pretty interesting but i found that the manga artwork tends to be rather endearing and I fully enjoyed my reading of it.

@Fuuka: OH YES, THE LIVE ACTION SERIES. I so want to watch it, tee hee!

Reading this review makes me think that the manga is very much like the 6 episodes anime. All those snapshots of slight melancholy and tragedy, with a dash of hope mixed within.

I thought the anime was very beautiful and well plotted out, but my major disappointment is that there isn’t any continuation of the story, like they really ARE snapshots of Momo’s life and profession and the people she met. Is the manga like this? Is there actually a continuous story arc with Momo?

Actually, the anime adaptation of this manga is also very good. Although the character design is not as nice as in the manga, the themes and plot twists are well-thought and good directed too. But the series was too short, I’d have wanted it to be longer than 6 eps.

Good one…and well…the story was taken directly from the novel…

Still, very good work…especially how the art style was changed, but still good though…and…I do think Momo in the manga was cuter than in the novel or anime…or at least on par with the novel art…

i saw this manga and was really tempted to buy… lol. Shinigami no ballad is one excellent series to date. hope they translate hantsuki too
